Andrew WK -- I Get Wet album: Party Hard, Ready to die. I listen to these before I play a fast paced game and for some reason I do better

ANYthing from Avenged Sevenfold.

All of the albums just dumbstrucks me by their melodically yet rock active tone.
Even their latest one, being Nightmare.

Aesop Rock - Labor Days
B Dolan - Fallen House Sunken City
Bike for Three - More Hearts Than Brains
Cubbiebear - The Rape
Dessa - A Badly Broken Code
Elliot Smith - XO
El-P - I'll Sleep When You're Dead
Prolyphic and Reanimator - The Ugly Truth
Sage Francis - A Healthy Distrust
Sole - Exhile EP (It's an EP yet it's my favourite thing he's ever made)
Sole & the Skyrider Band - Sole & the Skyrider Band (self titled)
The Mars Volta - De-Loused in The Comatorium
Venetian Snares - Rossz Csillag Alatt Született

There's more, but my God, it's hard to beat these albums for me. Labor Days, I'll Sleep When You're Dead and A Healthy Distrust are three of the most perfect albums from start to finish I've ever listened to. I wish I had Last.fm 6 years ago because these three albums alone would be raping the top of my charts.
Aesop Rock and Sage are a few favorites of mine. You should check Atmosphere and Brother Ali if you haven't. I think you'd like them.

Woah, a Hip Hop listener. That's quite rare on the Escapist it seems. I was gonna put down Atmosphere on that list, but he has too many good albums, it's just too hard, and Brother Ali is dope too, The Preacher is one of my favourite songs in Hip Hop. If I'd have to recommend one artist from that list, it'd be Cubbiebear if you haven't listened to him, he deserves so much more recognition than that of what he gets, and every fan is another contributing to his success, which he fucking deserves because he makes Hip Hop like I've never heard before, he's practically crying on one track, it's crazy. Unfortunately, not many people know of him, which is a damn shame.

Frank Zappa - Roxy and Elsewhere: Blew me away that this was live(mostly) music

Black Sabbath - Ozzy-Era: the music sounded ungodly, unreal and so heavy to me and it blew me away that it was from 1968-1976

Metallica - Kill'em All: I first heard this in 1986 and compared to the hair metal that was around this sounded like it was so fast and raw, which it was!

Slayer - Reign in Blood: just when I thought Metallica was fast and heavy.. Sick album and drumming and satan! Made to scare you and I found it so good and different that I have never stopped liking this band.

Beatles - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band: Great songs, trippy music.. A band from my parents era that I love more and more each day.

Phish - Junta: A jam band that made sense to me with mixing in of rock, jazz and all sorts of musical elements. This album blew me away the minute I heard it.

Greatful Dead - American Beauty: The band you are supposed to hate because of their lifestyle and when I heard this I was blown away on how musical it was and how damn good it is.

Radiohead - OK! Computer: The Creep guys made this? WOW.. I was blown away at how good each and every song is. I can listen to this anytime and need to hear it pretty much in full before I shut it off.

Yeah not alot of new shit, and those are only some of the albums

I agree, Atmosphere just doesn't really put out bad albums. And thanks for the suggestion, I'll be sure to check him out.

Them Crooked Vultures.

Their song Elephants is so god damn brilliant, along with the rest of their music. Nirvana's album Nevermind which is my favourite of all of their albums and ofcourse, everything Muse.
