When I use my own music I make sure it is the opposite to what is going on. Dead space had the most cheerful music I could find and my family friendly titles all have death metal. Dance/Techno in FPSs.

It makes the game more interesting.

Are you talking about the Charlie Clouser remix of More Human Than Human from Super Sexy Swinging Sounds? He may have been in Nine Inch Nails, but that would not make it a Nine Inch Nails song.
