This is a thread to discuss what music we like to play with certain parts of games. It can be lyrical or instrumental.

For the "One Shot, One Kill" level of CoD 4, I like to play "Why So Serious," from the Dark Knight. So F**kin Intense!

For "Read Letter Day/CP Violation" of Half-Life 2, try "Merchant of Death," from Iron Man.

For the cinematics of the final battle of Sovereign and the Citadel in Mass Effect, check out "The End of All Things," by Howard Shore from LOTR. Very epic.

Those are all I can think of right now, what about the rest of you?

I don't really play music during games. I don't think it helps or does anything for me.

Most of the time I don't listen to any music because most of the games I'm playing either have their own soundtrack/dialogue or I'm talking to friends on TS/Vent. That last option applies especially to FPS games where communication and actually listening for enemies applies.

..maybe because the commercial was so epic, I love playing GoW to Mad World.

When I'm playing games to release pent up anxiety/stress, I'll put my itunes on shuffle and let fate choose what I listen to (though I do keep my mouse over the skip button, fate can't have total control).

When I'm playing to win, though, the music goes off.

Blind Guardian/Kamelot/whatever whenever I'm raiding in WoW.

The Who when I play Rock Band 2.
