And you have now gained my respect.

OT: Every song from Persona 3 (That includes FES and PSP), Persona 4, Arena, and Golden on repeat.

Seriously, I will never get tired of those tunes.

And every now and again, I throw in the Durarara!! soundtrack to freshen things up. It's just so unique.

Whenever I have stuff that needs working on, I just turn on the old Pandora, set it to the Megadeth channel, and go on my merry way. Pandora freaking rocks. :D
Try out Slacker radio. They're even better, in my opinion.

Oddly enough, when I work, I generally listen to Let's Plays (converted to mp3 format). Usually by the Freelance Astronauts or TGWTG contributors (generally PushingUpRoses and company).

It's kinda like working while having a DVD on in the background. It's pleasant to listen to, and if you've listened to it before, you don't really need to watch what's happening.

Absolutely love listening to this when I'm trying to sleep or doing homework. It's just out of this world. If anyone has more types of relaxing house music like this, I'd love to have more.

D: the lack of vocaloids in this thread is bothersome! I shall fix it!

I listen to Vocaloid music when i read! :| and lol lots of it... since that can be pop, rock metal and anything in between

does cause problems though when a few songs distract me from the book... :<

All sorts of things really. My favorite artists to listen too while working though are bands/people like...

Cradle of Filth
Gackt
Hatsune Miku
HIZAKI Grace Project
Moi Dix Mois
Weird Al
X [Japan]

I work nights too so it gives me an excuse to sing along with many of my favorite songs without customers looking at me like I'm some kind of insane person. I mean I am but I don't have to go through the whole "I'm not the kind of crazy who will harm you" talk.

I tend to listen to the same stuff that I listen to in the gym. Though it can be a problem because it gets me pumped up so it can be hard to sit still sometimes. It's probably a dumb choice of mine.

What I always listen to; thrash metal or Swedish trallpunk. Fast beats helps me pay attention to nothing!
When I actually try to learn something I tend to play a bit slower music. Heavy metal, mostly.

Not exactly like it but you might fancy this as well if you like that:

Some of my favourite kinds of study music, when I have to read stuff. When I'm working on a project I prefer to listen to something more active though.

I can't really listen to too much music when I'm working. I've got the perfect pitch thing, so it's really distracting when all of these notes are coming at me and my brain is involuntarily analyzing them. I love classical music, but it's the absolute worst. Hearing a Beethoven sonata or the Brandenburg concerto when I'm trying to concentrate is almost debilitating, like trying to read two books at once.

I dunno if it's like that for everybody who has absolute pitch or just me, but it's kind of awkward and annoying. I remember having to ask my English teacher in high school to stop playing classical music during tests because I couldn't think straight, and people got mad at me.

Mostly trance/progressive/hardstyle/dutch hardcore DJ live sets. Typically ranging from 2 to 7 hours long. Love that high BPM.

Hip Hop. I like a lot of Del, Atmosphere, Busdriver, and Brother Ali.
Edit: Almost forgot Blackalicious and Hilltop Hoods.

Mostly ambient like Lustmord, Robert Rich, Carbon Based Lifeforms, MoozE, Autechre, Bass Communion, Brian Eno, John Murphy, and some songs from Half-Life 2, Silent Hill 1-4, Deus Ex:Human Revolutions, Metroid Prime Trilogy.
Some exaples,
