Must.... learn... to.... spell.... increase..... properly...

I kid, I kid. But OT: I'm firmly in the "Advice/help threads=watch like hawk" and "if it's for funsies, I check it whenever I'm A; quoted, or B; every once in a while" Camp...

I was really surprised at my first thread too. I got a badge for it having so many responses. I guess I'm pretty decent at them, as the majority seem to average about 2-3 pages of responses.

/shrugs

Then again, it could be all the hallucinogenic drugs I give out once you enter the thread.

Generally (in the 3 ones I've started) I post then leave, but If someone quotes me I'll return and answer, them I read all the posts...

I watch mine. I don't usually get a lot of posts and most of my posts are help threads. Like "How do I do so an so", and I need the answers ASAP. So I just sit there hitting the refresh button every 10 seconds.

Actually was even worse then that as the 9 replies were just from 4 posters, quoting and re-replying each other.
Yeah that does sound shite=/
But, press on!
Lol, who would have guessed my second post after 6 hours has 100 replies and 1300 views, and that just gives me an idea for my next thread.

I've only made one thus far and I forgot about it during the day. Then had to trawl my way back to it at the end of a couple of days to read what people had put. So I left it to tend to itself :)

I imagine if I posted something that had much more personal impact on myself (like seeking advice) then I would monitor the thread a lot more closely.

I'm a little bit paranoid about my own threads. I get a little rush when my thread gets new posts. Also if I'm going to make a thread about it then I actually care about it. That means I'm more willing to post on it. If its a just for fun one I'll pop in now and again to check out whats been added and what I can add.

I usually stay for a while and replying to who I see fit, then it either dies or I have to go to bed, my threads don't last long.

Hey it's not my fault I can't spell.
It's one of my few weaknesses

I do tend to watch threads I create obsessively, though with other posts, not so much. On forum games, I just wait for a response to my own post just to see what they do with it. On other posts, I don't really bother unless I get quoted.
I'm especially watching my video game name generator thread as it will probably be the closest I will ever get to getting 1000 replies. If it happens, cool. If not, it's not a big deal, though. It's still fun to watch in anticipation, though.
