I have a really hard time keeping from launching into arguments about religion and evolution with people. I don't know why. Also saying sarcastic things in the middle of lectures. Jebus it's hard to keep those in.

Mostly randomly wanting to throw things.
Like yesterday I tried to say something to a person talking with someone and instead of getting up, going over and tapping on her shoulder I thought I could just throw the glass right next to me at her to get attention.

Ended up in jail not doing it.

A couple of nights ago I was very close to cutting myself. It was partly because I was feeling really bad, and partly out of curiosity.

Anyway, now I feel really stupid for even considering it.
Couple of years ago, drinking alone in a pub, I started stubbing out cigarettes on the back of my hand and arm, out of idle curiosity about how much it would hurt.
Two days later, the lass I was dating stopped seeing me because she was concerned that I was intentionally self-harming.
You know what?

That's enough motivation for me never to consider it again. Thanks :p

To put my fist through my tv when I am really angry would have to be mine.

Shucks. I've always wanted to be a role model. Especially a negative role model.

I should start publishing more of the stupid shit I've done over the years.

Are you kidding me? I have to really resist like 80 different of these impulses every day! Seriously, I'm not trying to sound special[footnote]Or maybe it sounds a bit "Special". I meant that I'm not trying to seem more extreme than anyone else...[/footnote] or anything but this is like my daily fight. Some of the impulses I've resisted would have killed me: Jumping in front of cars, diving into a river, jumping off a cliff, cutting myself, hitting myself in the head with a hammer. Then there's just the ones that would put me in awkward situations: kissing a random girl on the street, smacking a kid who's being a dick when his parents aren't watching, singing along loudly and dancing to the music in my iPod, talking to myself on the bus, talking to other people on the bus. And that's just the tip of the iceberg...
And then I have the Dark impulses, but I don't think they fit in here.

Anyway, these impulses are one of the reasons I don't drink, I don't want to lose control of them. My super ego is having a hard enough time dealing with them.

EDIT: hmmm it seems I might not be as alone as I thought... :) I'm actually glad that someone else also has these impulses (I'm talking about like every impulse written on this thread BTW). And to add to the list of stupid ones that would kill me: Sometimes when I drive and I'm going about a 100km/h I just think: "Hmmm what would happen if I were to hit that divider over there? Or what if I just went into the opposite lane all of a sudden... maybe I could hit that timber truck..."

"I bet you can't blow up that guitar amp with your bass!"
"No, that'll cost me a shit-ton to replace"
It DOES cost a lot to replace, but if you have a new one and have to get rid of one, it's a good way to send it off.

Anyway:

I used to live near Washington, DC.

I once very nearly ran down the Mall (Where the monuments are, for those who don't know) in my boxers and socks and nothing else.

Also, I had a Sharpie pen and wrote "HAMMER TIME" on every stop sign I saw. Worth it.

If you'd let a train ride over your fingers, how would it feel?
Um...I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it would FUCKING HURT.
But maybe it would feel really awesome, do you know anyone who has ever tried? I'm kind of tempted to do so right now. Just to see if it would hurt right away or something.

[edit] Yes, it hurts. Very bad.
.....Did you just get your fingers crushed?

Jumping off cliffs.

You know the feeling where you're standing on the edge of a cliff and you get the urge to jump. Well, in the Summer at Cyprus Lake, I jump. Without testing the depth below beforehand. I could die, and I still jump.

The stupidity impulse that I resist is my sarcasm. Whenever someone says anything, I instantly come up with a sarcastic response that I often have a hard time holding back.
Wow... That's pretty intense. The sarcasm I mean.

Also I remembered the song that represents this thread:

This.
Really, happens a lot.
What, jumping off cliffs or sarcasm?
You guys feel a urge to jump when you're in high places? What the hell!? xD
Sure :D
So long as there's water at the bottom and the rocks don't jut out, I'm willing to risk death, bodily harm, and even extreme embarrassment to leap into the abyss. C'mon, you've had that thought too, don't lie; we just happen to be the idjits that act on that thought.

I am astounded by the idea that when sitting in a moving car, there is nothing short of my own will keeping me from just opening it and falling out. It is the basis for why I argue that short of physical impossibilites, nothing is ultimatly stopping you from doing anything. But this just makes me annoy people who say they "need" to eat. (If they do not eat they will die, but because you can die of starvation, you thus have a choice in the matter)

Decided to look up random things on the internet one day and had a terribly stupid idea.
turn off the safesearch feature, type in something random, and marvel at the terribility of the internet.

Suffice it to say, I didn't eat anything that day.

Well, I was riding through stormwind and someone had a turtle mount, so I was like, hey, I could use me one of those turtle mounts.

Some 12 hours of gametime later, no dice and still trying.

On another game note, I was playing hon in a matchmaker game, and one of the teamates said 'Please guys, play well, I am on a streak here and want the big consecutive bonus'. My draft picks included scout. It was all I could do to not pick scout and rush codex...

I often have the urge to go to my local library and shout something to do with condoms and poor genital health... Then I realised that no-one is ever in said library. :D

I was taking a walk down by the local-ish canal a few days ago, and I came across a row of bouys in the water.
They were fixed together, and the very first one was a kind of platform affixed to a pole. Anyway, I was sorely tempted top take a running jump off the pier, land of the first bouy and run across the rest.
Then I realized I had no means of getting back onto land [provided I didn't immediately fall in], so I didn't do it.

But come summer... I'm going to be like an inept, dripping Ezio.

For some reason, I occasionally get the urge to drop my cell phone in my coffee. Something about that "plunk!" as I drop it in seems so satisfying in my imagination, even though that would be an awful thing to do.

I get that very same urge all the time!
I have actually acted on it a few times when I've been too tired to know what I was doing..

I might've had that thought too, although I think the sarcasm part may be too extreme.
