Well I figured the Dr. Frankestein spirit can definitely fit with the playing god scenario required to make a mutant like this. Hence why I thought it was a good idea to have optional Frankenstein Monster stitching.

As for the use of real cities, that is kinda what I was wanting to go for. I really did like the sprawling nature of Spiderman 3 especially when I could go into the subways. I was thinking the whole time that I wanted to be Venom or one of the bigger Lizard monsters and kick ass.

Oh and here is a fun idea. At character creation, you get the snarky German scientist accent asking what you are making as you create your godless creation.

Gotcha. However, I was thinking this game as the opposite of Spiderman in that you aren't trying to be a hero. The goal is to establish a reign of terror for as long as you can. Hence the game title.

However, there isn't a reason to Not be a monstrous hero. I suppose I am just liking the idea of being the movie monster for a change. Sounds like good stress relief.
You should have that choice I think. Like the Toxic Advenger. Some mutant killing evil people.

Could allow for a police report screen, telling of your exploits instead of a normal morality system. The police will still see you as a monster, though some police might start looking the other way if you are only chowing down gang members and other criminals.

Also, I was thinking about other ways to get new genetic material instead of waiting for new mutants to spawn. Perhaps staging raids on labs across the city, but as you raid them in succession, they start to beef up security. There will always be a way to handle things but things can get nasty if you just expect to crash though every time. Though with enough mutations, you might get badass enough to handle whatever comes along.

Why would it want to help humans? Being neutral to them or only killing the scientists I can see, but it just doesn't make sense for it to be a vigilante.

Personally, that has kinda been my stance the whole time. However, for the sake of making an enjoyable game, I am willing for the creature to have choices.

Technically the police report can be simply for the player's conscience. A mutant like this might learn to feed off gang members and criminals because it discovers that it gets less repercussions for eating them. Like a learned behavior over any moral choice. Kinda like how predators in the wild learn to chase prey that endanger it less. Like separating a baby deer from the herd.

The gang member is an easier target than a citizen in a crowd. So the player has the choice of picking off 1-5 guys or jumping into the midst of 20+ people who all go shrieking into different directions before the cops show up to shoot you. So, there ya go, accidental morality instead of a desire to help.

Personally, I would end up preying on criminals for a while until I am beefy enough to tangle with cops and then Really start scaring people but I am a nut so eh...

Cops have guns. Gangersters have big, illegal guns. I'd risk the cops.
Cops are allowed to go out in the open in full force whenever they so (need to) choose.
Gangsters *may* have big, illegal guns (this depends upon what type of gang you are talking about and how much money the gang has and obviously not all gangs are going to have a lot of money) and cannot go out in the open in full force whenever they so choose (within reason).

You may be right, but I disagree about the cops not going after the big scary mutant, even if it is only going after criminals. So it's either gonna be the gangsters and the cops, or easy prey and more cops, but no gangsters.

Yeah, I believe I noted (somewhere) that the whole idea would leave you still in the gutter of (most) everyone's mind regardless of your immorality, morality, or accidental morality (although that last one was made by you I believe). And don't forget that you could just be going after anyone who is conveniently alone in a dark alley too (or whoever is conveniently placed in whatever sense 'conveniently' could mean).

True, cops can't pursue if there isn't a body.

And my experience is that gang members only have bigger guns if you are dealing with more sensitive locations to their turf.

To be honest, a gang member in an alleyway MIGHT have a pistol. A cop will be calling backup and have a pistol and a good possibility of a shotgun in his car. So as a bloodthirsty yet young mutant, I would cut my teeth on minor gang members and maybe a civilian if I get the chance.

As for the ambiguous morality, that was more or less my idea from the beginning. I was one of those nuts that thought it would have been grand to play as the Predator in a Predator 2 like scenario. I would have liked Concrete Jungle had it not been made of crap and failure. I will say that I enjoyed stringing up gang members after I skinned them but the game was, like I said, crap and failure.

This game is for those who loved playing the Zerg or wanted to be the Predator or enjoyed chasing human as a Xenomorph in the AVP games. We root for the werewolf and enjoyed being a terror in Stubbs the Zombie. We just want a break from morality with a decent bit of story while we make our own idea of a super monster and be our own horror movie.
