MvC3 DLC: Worth $8.50 per character?

After waiting a month for delayed postage, I finally got Marvel vs Capcom 3 this morning. It took getting used to, but I'm enjoying it so far.

Anyway, I heard a lot of bitching about Jill and Shuma Gorath costing $5 each, but figured I'd add at least one of the two (Shuma Gorath) to my roster for the sake of variety. I'd thought $10 was a bit steep for 2 characters, but I could part with $5 to get the one I was after.

But after logging in, it seems the obligatory Australian mark-up is at it again. Jill and Shuma Gorath are $8.50 each, which has kind of put me off the DLC for now.

Of course, I haven't actually played them though. What's the Escapist's opinion? Are they of quality enough to justify a $8.50 price tag?

Haven't played them either, and don't intend to. For characters that really should have been there during release (as well as some others), paying that much for each character is ridiculous, and charging people that much is f*cked up. So, unless you REALLY want those characters (in my case, *those* characters would be Ken and Doc Ock), I'd say hold off and don't waste your money.

The game has far less than MvC2, so no, its not worth it. But also I hate MvC3 and regret buying it, because it is just as cheap as 2 was. I like the fast based over the top style, but why cant it be fair too?

$8.50?!? Jesus Christ, are you serious? [small]Rhetorical, don't answer...[/small] Guess it's a good thing I got the special edition and can get them for free with a code once I get my game back. Seems way too much. Hell, $5 was pushing it.

Also: there are rumors the next two DLC characters will be Frank West and Doc Ock. I forget where the rumor came from, so I can't get a source, though. Anyone got any opinions on that?
