Ah...Treyarch gave us 3 map packs of "3 maps + A whole new Nazi Zombies" for $10 each.

And a bundle of all three for only $25, taking $5 off.

Treyarch>>>>>>>>>>>>>>IW

Seriously, its only that much money because they know MW2 players will buy it. I do play MW2, but will not be getting this, and when it is forced into map circulation, as they always are, I will just stop playing.

worst part is, that many people will buy it
I really wish they wouldn't. Avoiding purchasing this would be great to force a price drop on it - but like you said, people are going to buy it because they can't wait.

I just hope that not enough people buy it that waiting to join a server with your new map pack takes forever because it has to find people that also have it.

I probably won't buy it, also since when was Crash a CoD4 favourite? It was my least favourite urban map by far.

I dunno, I bloody loved Crash. Overgrown can fuck off though.

I'm not going to get this pack however, due to the fact I haven't (willingly) played this game in ages.

Page won't load for me.

OT: Crash was my favorite map from the first game though I think they could have picked a better second map than overgrown like Strike or Wet Work. MW2 already has three open sniping maps, it really doesnt need a fourth. Until the page actually loads I can't really comment on it but a 1200MS price seems a little outragous.

World at War's map packs were only 800 and they came with three new maps plus a nazi zombies map. I really hope they don't do what they did with those where they had the maps in rotation and it kicked you if you didnt have them. The last thing we need is to be kicked out of every couple of games because we dont have twenty dollars to shell out.

Are you serious. Overgrown and Crash? The two worst maps in the whole game. I'm not sure I even want this map pack anymore. Stupid Infinity Ward. :(

You may not have liked it, but a lot of people did.
In fact, it was so popular they even released it in CoD4 twice(Crash and Winter Crash).

Why overgrown? Ambush was better by miles! But this time round its gonna be overgrown with thermal snipers hidden in every damn bush.

Yep that is rediculous. I remember getting 20 maps for free every year for Red Alert 2 and 5 for Natural Selection.

Mehhhhhhhhhhhh. It's a good thing I traded this in when I did.
This is definitely a rip off, even if it isn't out on PSN yet. It's probably going to be the same price.
More proof that activision is just trying top charge gamers/fans more money because they can.

I really like those two maps and lets be honest here 3 bucks for something you'll get hours of enjoyment from? Isn't such a bad deal.

But I'm not going to fork over the cash. I'm not playing that often now and I think soon enough I wont have much time for multi player, school and all that jazz.

I wish people wouldn't make a big deal about this kind of stuff. I'm not saying that people here are doing this sort of stuff*, but I just know that there are going to be a bunch of people creating petitions, flaming the IW forum/staff and generally being dick heads about this whole matter because they realize an opportunity to make something cheaper than it's supposed to be charged. I wish that when people see a company trying to rip them off they just walk away and don't make a fuss, but it always seems like someone has to ***** about it.

*or maybe in time you will, maybe.

What I find kind of weird but also awesome is the fact that most PC players didn't give a shit about the DLC scandal EA tried to bull with Bad Company 1 on the consoles but care a lot when it shows up (much less so) on the PC. It's kind of like, gamers are thinking that they are fighting the good fight against evil corporations but only fight that until everything is good for them, then they don't care. Everyone turned to BF:BC when IW betrayed them and DICE/EA were held up as better developers, not realizing that 1.5 years ago DICE/EA tried to pull something much worse on another breed of gamers.

I don't know, just kind of strange how loyalties fly around like that and how warped and perverted the theme of 'my enemy of my enemy is my friend' becomes when games and the Internet is involved. Whatever, don't bother to pay any attention to my ramblings, they make little sense.

I've seen this alot on various forums. Everything seems to break down to, 1) its too much and 2)bad company > mw2 fanboyisms.

I first thought, ?15, no way will I pay that for three new maps and two rehashs. Then I thought, I've never played MW1, they're all new to me.

Then I thought, oh, well I've paid about that much for fallout 3 DLC, and that added loads, like weapons and armour and new locations. All of which, I played through once or twice, and used a small percentage of the gear I found in it, put the rest in my locker.

So, ?15 for 5 maps for me to run around shooting dudes. Which when I start playing MW2 more activily during the non-busy college term, I'll probably get more use out of than all the fallout 3 DLCs put together. Don't get me wrong, I love fallout 3 and it's download content, some of it alot more than others.

However due to the fact I cant spend much time playing MW2, or any other game, I'll be waiting before I pick this up, might get lucky and it'll go on sale for a weekend to gold members.

TL:DR It's not a bad price for something people will get bucketloads of enjoyment out of, but I'll wait til it goes on sale or I have to get it because the maps are overused.

I'm not really concerned about it because me and a few friends will be splitting the price and then downloading it on each others hard drives. I'll only end up paying like $3. Unfortunately, the two old maps (Crash and Overgrown) weren't really very good (IMO), couldn't they have given us Broadcast or Vacant (two of my favorites).

This should be free if Activision gives a single solitary fuck about it's consumer base.

At this point in World At Wars life cycle, the second Map Pack was only a month away. They were cheaper, and had zombies. Every pack was worth it.

This? This is 3 new maps and 2 of the most horrific maps from CoD4 (Give me Bloc please), and they're gonna charge that much? Not counting the old maps (since no work has to go into them) that's $5 a map. No thanks.

Make it free and issue a fucking apology for being so stupid in the first place, and maybe I'll rent one of your games in the future, but now? Nah, my money isn't going towards Kotick's wallet.

Crash was a pretty good map, but I absoutely HATE all sniper maps.

Would be nice if we got some pictures of the three new maps, that way it would help me decide if its really worth so much for the pack.

I'm already losing interest in MW2, not a lot of reason to pay that much for maps. Maybe if they fixed some of the broken elements of the game.

Meh, I'm still thinking about buying BC: 2 for my FPS fix.

Give it 2 weeks. They'll be £3 on PSN as long as you buy it on the weekend. They always do this kind of crap!
