So anyway MW2 yeah, you know that one, new age shooter with all the fancy bollocks and bells attatched, the greatest game in the universe in some peoples opinions and also apparently a hot topic amongst "gamers" Ok so yah anyways, I am a PC gamer and I got this game and expected a mediocre shooter with nothing special, but you know what? I was right HAH!

Wait a minute this is soo good look at "TEH REVIEWS" But as a PC gamer I feel a little trodden on, a little hard done by. I explained this to a friend who plays it on console and he assured me of the games greatness, to which I referred him to this flow chart:

Now that you see my stance on this issue we can move on, so why is MW2 so wank? Well for a start I play it for online, let's face it if you buy MW2 for it's singeplayer shit fest then that's just false economy. For a start the guns which are available are merely modern skins and names attatched to a series of random stats. Huh? you ask. Well for example I have the choice of selecting the ridiculous 50.cal Ronnie Barrett, which takes 2 chest shots to kill my opponent, yes a gun used for taking out vehicles. Or theres the AA-12 auto shotty...theres no need to continue, they had no clue or they wanted balance, who cares? Not them.

Next...I have been killed by missiles, helicopters, fucking jets...bullshit cheap kills, what's the point in this? Some dude had his jet pointing, POINTING at spawn while he blasted the enemy team, I was sitting there watching it like a donkey sex show, amazed and disgusted. I thought I was playing an FPS.

Now wait maniac, vehicles like totally make FPS better and stuff. Good point...they do make the game more interesting...when the maps your fucking playing on arn't the size of my THUMBS. That's right folks I think if I farted at my spawn the enemy could taste it at theirs. But console players don't need big maps because there is a smaller amount of players per server/game.

Ok techy stuff...yah techy stuff, since they built this for a console and for the console only don't expect any freedom. No servers, no mods, no custom maps and the game stops every so often to change host when he pisses off. Think you can fit about 12 people on the server and you have to wait extra long between maps while noobs fiddle with their shitty gun set up, this game feels like a console FPS, and isn't what it is cracked up to be for the PC. This seems to be a pattern though, good solid series of games being shit out for console players and that shit being put through a mincer for the PC players.

Although...the graphics are nice. I hate Christmas.

P.S. I heard that if you get to the highest rank theres a perk that lets you shoot lasers from your anus. Pro.
This is quite possibly the worst flow chart I have ever seen.
PS3 owner?

When did pc gamers suddenly become such whiners? If you don't like the game, sell it on.

I actually found the 360 and Wii part of the chart the be sort of accurate. With every person I've seen with only a Wii or a 360 fall into those categories. Except that the 360 owners are always friends IRL with other 360 owners if they can find them. The PC and PS3 parts are horse shit though.

Yah it's funny you should say that BUT, they won't accept used PC games in the game store... :(

Spawn system is BS. I swear sometimes it picks your spawn point only if several enemies are aiming right at it.

No real servers is the other big issue. 99% of PC users dont have the capability to host a low ping server comparable with dedicated servers. 300+ ping for all but one person is clearly not fair.... Not that you will ever know your ping - IW has deemed judging the size of a number to difficult for it's audience and is representing connection as 5 incrementally sized bars (if that is still too complicated for you the bars also change colour). It all comes down to PC gamers getting treated like idiots, everyone should be allot more angry.

You can't put a quote into a post while editing it, smartass.
You can quote and write out what you want to say, then copy that, click edit and paste onto the bottom of your original post. Not that complicated.

I would have a pc if I could afford it:/
As an F-Y-I unrelated to the OP, I'm currently waiting for parts on my next build.

It's made of a fricken quad-core processor (most current games can't take advantage of that) 4 GB of DDR3 memory(More than any current game out there requires), 1 TB (=1024 GB) Hard drive and a Radeon HD 4770 graphics card, enough to play Crysis on high details with over 40 FPS.

Total cost for the system with peripherals and legal OS, 600?. I could have cut it down to 500? if I wanted to. And I expect the build to last 8 years for gaming purposes, with 150? worth of upgrades to memory and graphics card in the intervening time. Had I bought a build with similar capabilities as a pre-build model retailers advertise, I've have paid over 1k euros for it. The lesson if this: If you build your own PC, you can save around 500? in the total price. Sure, you might screw things up building it if you are not careful, but that is rare if you take precautions and read even some of the multitude of online manuals about PC-building.

As an example, the PS3 costs around 300?, but does not include things like the television, sound system or exotic game controls like Guitar Hero requires. Believe me, with 300?, assuming you have a display ready and get a free OS, you can build your own gaming PC that lasts for years. Just don't expect the level of graphics that makes your eyes pop out in ecstasy.

The myth that the PC is expensive for gaming purposes is based on people buying the idiotic pre-made builds the common retailers sell. There is so much air and plain idiotic decision in them. By study and choosing the parts for yourself, you can get the most out of lesser parts and know (and can) direct your money to the components that matter the most. And even the learning phase isn't hard, One month ago I knew almost nothing about building my own PC, now I've succesfully done two functional builds for my brothers and am waiting for parts to arrive for my own. The 'net is filled with guides, learning is easy with them.
Off topic but...

A quad core? With a 4770? A terabyte? 3 gigs of DDR3?

Not to be offensive, but some of those just seem a little bit... off. I honestly don't know what you would do with a quad core coupled with a card like the 4770, not BAD but certainly not GREAT. I would suggest a card upgrade to a 4870 or a processor downgrade to a dual-core. Perhaps a 3.4 ghz?

Also a motherboard that can utilize DDR3 must be kind of pricey. In the sake of cash I would suggest you purchase a cheaper mobo that can utilize DDR2, and just purchase 4 gigs of DDR2 (800) instead. You should save at least 40% of the money you would spend as opposed to the DDR3, and with very little impact on performance.

Also, the OP is another ranting troll. To an extent. Most trolls don't make me laugh. That chart was freaking hilarious.

If you don't like it don't play it. Worked for me, SHOULD work for you. Maybe. I really don't know.

There are reason, longevity among them, but heavy 3d-rendering and image-manipulation is to beexpected from that system. It will need the processing power. As far as games go, I'm not going for 50+ FPS and 1920 resolutions and maxed out graphics. I can make do with far less. And as I said, I plan on getting upgrades later, among them a new graphics card in a few years. Replacing that is simpler than replacing the CPU. And yes, the MOBO took a bit of the money, but it is 'future-proof' so to say. Sure, it costs more, but I think it worth it.

Also a motherboard that can utilize DDR3 must be kind of pricey.
In fact, I paid 60? for the MOBO. Sure, I could have gotten a 30? one, but what I save now I would have to reinvest later, when the DDR3 memory will have overtaken DDR2 in the price-lists and will in fact be cheaper.

The point with small budget builds that you plan on upgrading later, is that you have to think what parts will cost in three years instead of today.

Yes, you have a point with your suggestions. But I tailored my future PC to my individual needs. More bang for the buck, when one focuses on the components that matter.

Also, the OP is another ranting troll. To an extent. Most trolls don't make me laugh. That chart was freaking hilarious.
Of course. And yes, it was hilarious, albeit clear flamebait. But as you likely noticed, my post didn't so much deal with the OP as much as attempts to dispell the popular myth that no gaming PC costs less than twice what a current gen console does. PCs can be expensive, as only the sky is the limit on what you can buy, but a gaming PC does not have to be expensive.

If you don't like it don't play it. Worked for me, SHOULD work for you. Maybe. I really don't know.
I totally agree.

Anyone that complains about killstreaks needs to get their thumb out of their ass and make a killstreak-killing class with cold-blooded and a stinger/javelin and kill the fucking thing that's raping your team.

Oh wait, that's probably too hard for you FPS-failures to grasp.

Right. Why do so many people complain about killstreaks? You can shoot most of them down in 1-2 stinger shots.

It's plagued by having imbalances worse than an MMO and retarded lag and I see at least 2 hackers every fucking day. VAC sucks and there's no damn way to report anyone.

Despite this I still play it a lot and it's extremely addictive. -_-

Funnily enough, mostly ALL of these problems would have been fixable with dedicated servers.

Funnily enough, you wouldn't be playing it if you weren't having fun, so they must be doing something right.

Wow really? I would never have guessed. I still play it because the ranks, emblems and titles keep me interested. There's always something to strive for, there's so many upgrades to do.

That doesn't mean there aren't a lot of problems. They are doing something's right, but they fucked up a lot of things that they could have done right. And the game would have been even better.

If you already bought the game, complaining about it doesn't help. Just stay away from paying the price, and then they'll eventually get the message.
(don't worry, this is a very long-term fight)
