MW2 pump action vs (semi) auto shotguns

I think the FAMAS is a little weak, in a one on one fire fight I usually lost unless I got a headshot.

I turned my FAL into a sniper rifle with a thermal sight, it doesn't one shot kill but it has significantly less wander while aiming and recoil is nowhere near as bad so I can fire alot faster, which makes up for it.

I use FAMAS - Red Dot Sight and Silencer.
Stopping Power is essential also.

Long distance gun for the long shots, short"er" distance scope for speed of ADS for close quarters.

It makes a great gun for flanking and slowly picking off enemys.
Especially on maps like wasteland. Stick to the edges, find the whole team trying to get underground, slowly pick them off (Due to silencer, you can)

I like a gun that if i see somebody i can kill them, FAMAS is that gun.
the whole map away or in front of you, one burst can take them out. (At the worst two)

Zero recoil and very powerful.

EDIT: Face to Face, it ain't that great. That's why u gotta know how to use it.

I know what you mean, I have got behind the enemies twice with impressive results. It's quite a powerful feeling seeing the entire enemy team looking the other way, the only problem is unless you have a noob tube or a LMG you can't go buck wild and kill them all, usually one escapes the slaughter.

My total online play time is a little over 6 days, so I think I am doing ok managing to get behind them. I am still crap at building kill streaks though.

I use a few different guns, my favorite at the moment is P90 silenced, stinger, marathon, cold blooded and ninja (all pro). It's great being invisible and the P90 has a LMG sized clip.

Quite bored of it now.

I was wrong, it's 5 days 2 hours and 9 mins (if you don't know were to find out it's barracks, leader board, score).

It's always fun to sneak up on heart beat sensor guys who rely on it too much, I also never realized the cold blooded perk stops you showing up on the enemies UAV.

If your bored of it try a different game mode, I used to be a TDM guy but now I love demolition. Sometimes you get fucked over by your team just wanting kills but when you find a good game it amazing.

I love my cold blooded class, enemy kill streaks are an advantage to you!
I just hear enemy UAV spotted and think YES time for some extreme flanking. You find people rely way more on the UAV.

Also did you know on the killcam, if you press start, you can see the radar of the person that has killed you.

E.g team death match - you die, during killcam press start and all the green "ally" triangles are the locations of your enemy.

I've never really played that much Modern Warfare 2, but the Striker was always my preferred shotgun.

Plus my turbo isn't amazingly fast, just slightly faster than I can shoot.. I mainly bought it for games like oblivion so I could grind much easier.
It can turbo multiple buttons and every button on the pad (Excluding the D-pad)
So its pretty useful.
That combined with it being shaped like a 360 controller and having better "trigger" buttons.
It was well worth the money.
(And it was £10 less than the official controllers..)

However a semi-auto would most likely be better for clearing out a smaller room with several people.

Pretty much this. Use auto-shotguns at closer distances, prefer pump-action-shotguns at further distance. You can sweep with auto-shotguns through small rooms like a hot knife through butter, but the pump-actions are more useful in general combat.

Personally I don't use shotguns..

And yes there is a very good reason to take it over the automatics, Range.

Throw a grip on an m1014 and you get a good all-rounder
