MW2 then ME2. Whats next?

I played Mass Effect back when it came out, Enjoyed it, Loved it, Finished it a few times with 100% achievements. Put it down and moved on. Mass Effect 2 will be the same for me if I even play it. But in all honesty the longevity of single player RPG's is tiresome.

Look at all the hype around Dragon Age, but now no one will even mention it unless randomly raised, Mass Effect one went under the radar as a great game but thats it, not a continuously enjoyable game once completed.

I'm sure Mass Effect 2 will be great, but its a bubble gum game, full of flavour but the more you chew it eventually the flavour fades.

What people want is a permanently expansive RPG which MMO's tend to deliver.

My analysis, ME2 will be good, but not good enough to keep anyone playing it more than a couple of months.

A great RPG game can make you play it years later, i.e Final Fantasy 7/8/9.

KOTOR is still a favourite of mine and actually I find alot better than Mass Effect before I can go back and play it now and enjoy is just the same, But once ME was finished the game lacked lustre.

My bets gonna agree with this guy. Everyone is gonna be talking about if the story lived up to the first or not and personally i doubt that it will although i'm still getting the game.

How come nobody has listed Starcraft 2 yet? I mean, seriously, this game will probably revitalize the whole RTS genre (lets be honest, the last few releases were rather substandard (I'm looking at you EA >=[ )). And after 12 years, it's practically on our door step now!

So the escapist likes to go through trends of blowing up with hype on certain video games. Every other post from october to december was about Modern Warfare 2 and all the stuff surrounding it. Lately it has all been about ME2 and everyone complaining about more Mass Effect and all the hype surrounding it. So whats the next game to get all the hype and annoy everyone on the forums that really doesn't care too much about it?

I would have said the new Final Fantasy but it seems like its getting pretty close to release and its staying on the DL. I really can't think of any upcoming games that will clog up the forums like crazy but I know it will come eventually. So, what is that next game to clog the forums?

I'd say get over it. If 3-4 threads on the first page dedicated to one game are enough to "annoy" you to the point you feel the need to whine about it, you might want to examine your life and your priorities...

Some games have more people looking forward to them and naturally those people will make threads about it. However, it rarely exceeds 5 threads per page and there are plenty of other discussions going on, so unless the very name of the game causes you physical discomfort I don't really see a problem.

Wow you fail. I never said i was annoyed did I? But have you ever read any of the posts about ME2 or MW2 lately? Every time someone posts a new topic there are people who complain about another post on that subject. So get over yourself and actually use your head before bashing people...
