MW2 Worst Weapon?

Like a few people mentioned the desert eagle is a bucket of shit and recoil, so that gets my vote.

I haven't really bothered trying out that many weapon, only used two snipers (Intervention and M21), two SMGs (UMP 45 and MP5), three shotguns (Msomething, Spas and 1887, though I've hardly use it), no automatic pistols, used all of the pistols (hardly used the Deagle or the USP, Magnum's one of my favourite weapons), though I've used more of the assault rifles, i.e. AK-47, SCAR-H, M16, Famas, M4 and ACR, haven't touched the rest.

Huh, just realised now how little of the arsenal available I've used.

Well it is a game...and we were talking about the game mechanics...and then you went off on one about realism in games.

And what's the point in having a riot shield if it can be destroyed?

I'd say the smg's were nerfed. They artificially lowered the rpm until you waste an attachment to get the real speed back.

Also, why do they have the Famas AND the M16 in the game? Same round, similar barrel length, (19in. vs 24in.)30rd Mag, why put them both in?

ALSO, why the HELL is the m9 so powerful in this game? It should not match the power of a .45 like the USP. In the old game it had lower recoil but took an extra shot, in this game, basically a USP .45 with 3 more rounds.

It's weird how the more modern weapons seem to be mostly the worst, whilst the older weapons are the most powerful. What's next? Flintlock pistols? Bows and arrows? Rocks?

OT: I don't really like any of the SMGs or LMGs. Except for the UMP .45 and AUG HBAR.

I would say all of them since all of the weapons seem to have a "let-every-other-player-shoot-me-in-the-head" button on them. I just suck that much.

I generally find all the snipers to be underpowered and have given up using anything other than the Barret. I find the M21 and WA200 do not 1 hit kill very much (only useful is you wanna go silencer)and the Intervention will 1 hit kill more often than the Barret but the recoil and return rate are ridiculous. I loved the single shot snipers in MW a shame they not present in 2.0

Also the D.Eagle is crap, if you want a handgun use the first one imho, the other non hand-cannon gun is fine and the magnum is alright.

I'm actually gonna say (and i am waiting for the flames) that the P90 and Mp5 are both stupidly useless. Sure they wreck within close range but with shotguns commonly used as secondaries and really powerful AR's you still will lose an awful lot of these 1v1 battles and you can't kill anything that is more than 30ft away from you.You'll hit it once twice and the crosshair's will just bounce away.

*sidenote* Has anyone else noticed the the Raffica's akimbo can melt the faces any day of the week of rangers/1887? (very underrated i believe)

The amount of times I've been headshotted by akimbo Raffica's makes me want to quit the game. ARRRGHGGHGHGHGHH

M240 is crap as well. 4 bullets to kill for an LMG? WTF? Its only redeeming feature is the insane accuracy.

Out of all of the guns, the only ones which I have found to be completely unuseable are the Desert Eagle and the Javelin. The Deagle, for no apparent reason, seems to deliberately miss despite having the hipfire cursors on the other guy's chest, while the .44 hits perfectly. As for the Javelin, I find that it really only hits more powerful air support about half the time, and since you only get one...
It's also pretty crap as a mortar weapon, since you've gotta stand in direct line of sight to lock on. It's really only useful in wide open maps with objective gametypes and people who don't pay very much attention to background noise.

Worst weapon would have to be glock or vector, they are just far to underpowered despite ridiculous firing rate.

The prob with all the duel wield stuff is that it is just something that is absolutely impossible in real life. YOU try firing 2 shotguns at once and then come back and tell me that you didnt break both arms

In a very not flamy way, if the P90 and mp5 are useless, doesnt that mean that the uzi, vector, and ump are as well? The P90 is proly the best smg, and to say that its crap is to say that all smg's are crap. they all have the crosshair problem.

on the other hand, your not wrong, aside from hardcore, it is very hard to get smg kills, because you run out of ammo/ slash bullets dont go straight, which is where the redeeming feature of the P90, the clip the size of texas, makes it playable.

btw i have fall camo p90....

Also, the Rafficca is awesome and much underused. It's an M16 compacted down into pistol form with almost as much power.

The Raffica is a small beast, especially in hardcore. I have it as secondary for snipers and i usually end up getting more kills with it than the sniper rifle

It's an exclusive weapon that kept me from buying the game.

Same, but I got a mic, and after joining a server full of whinging pricks moaning in the lobby, I shouted, in a truly deep, booming, horrific voice:

"WOULD YOU MISERABLE LITTLE KIDS SHUT THE FUCK UP AND STOP MOANING. IT'S A FUCKING GAME. BE QUIET AND LET ME ENJOY MYSELF."

The server was silent for an entire match.

EDIT: You should've heard my older brother when we joined this match full of shouty kids, they screamed through the mics, and everyone in the house could hear, and my bro's fuse shorted, so he started mocking them in an extremely loud voice, most of which I forgot except "My mom is out of town, so I get to play any game I want!!!!".

Id say magnum with last stand is underestimated. With other guns it dont work as well but with the magnum im getting alot of last stand kills. Works especially well against dual wielding shitgun types as they usually miss you during the wounded animation (believe there are a few invulnerability frames).

As for worst gun.. have to be m9 pistol or the 45. pistol. Just too weak compared to magnum or the raffica. As for primary weapons id say the f2000. Too much recoil.

True I don't play much hardcore because i find the game just too slow for me, i do however find the ump45 and vector preferable to the other weapons.
And responding to another post, the raffica is a beast not in hardcore as well. And finally the m9 and .45 pistol are not bad. Use them and you'll realize the truth!! lol
