MW3 Decisions

[Paragon Fury]

Well now, I'm at a bit of a situation here. I own Modern Warfare 3. And I must say it is one of the most disgraceful, rubbish games I've ever had the displeasure to play.

And Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary comes out tomorrow. I don't have the money for it; but I do have a $10 off coupon from Gamestop. So if use that and trade-in MW3, I'll likely meet the amount I need, or be just under and can trade in another game to get it.

But part of me says I should wait and see if IW will patch the game to be less terrible than it currently is; see if I can't get my $60 and all.

The other part of me says I should just ditch the shit game, get the map pack to the game I do like and the remastered campaign and let CEA and Skyrim help me forget all about MW3.

What would you do?

Well what exactly do you dislike about the game? If it's more than just weapon balancing then chances are it's never going to get fixed (and even hoping for weapon balancing is a stretch), so I say if you really hate the game then just trade it in.

I personally would sell it to a friend who wants it, but hasn't gotten it yet, for around $50, giving him a nice $10 discount, as opposed to giving it to a used game store where they'll rip you off.

And you can use your coupon for some other thing that catches your fancy.

It's hard to say what I'd do in your situation because I would not have bought MW3 in the first place. And no, I'm not someone who hates CoD either. I've bought every one of the CoD games to date, even before Modern Warfare. It just didn't look like anything had changed so I skipped this one.

Halo on the other hand, is a series I've always enjoyed. So if I can encourage someone else to play Halo, that's probably the way to go. So yeah, try to ignore the fact that I'm a rabid Halo fanboy and go pick up a shiny new copy of Anniversary based on my recommendation.

Bungie isn't involved with the remake of Halo CE, it's 343 Studios making it.

Based on your rant, there is no patch in the world that would appease you enough to want to keep playing the game. Spawns could potentially be tweaked a bit, but the likelyhood of that happening is pretty much none.

So go with trading it in.

Although I don't hate the game as much as you do. I find it fun at times, but frustrating a lot. I bought it at release cause I know a lot of friends would be playing it. But, now I'm sort of wishing I used the money on Skyrim or Uncharted 3. Now, I'm going to have to wait til Christmas for those. Atleast it will be a very merry Christmas for me.

I'm sorry but when there's an explosion like that and your standing right beside it you will pretty much be vaporised.I disagree about the engine it was still fine for this game maybe they should use a new one in the next game though.I personally think MW3 looks a lot better than BF3 on console(BF3 obviously looks amazing on PC)the sound isn't up to the standard of Battlefield but its still good.I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign and millions of other people did too just because you didn't doesn't make it crap just not to your taste.The only real issue I've had with multi player is the lag so I'm getting shot round corners and other people have like a two second advantage on me but I'm hoping that will get better as time goes on

While I completely disagree with just about every point you make, if you're not enjoying the game, I see no reason why you would keep it.

You can still sell the game on amazon for about $45 (this is what you'll probably get after shipping and amazon's cut).

First of all, WOW you really hate this game do you! I thought it was better then I expected.
Secondly, if you liked the the original Halo, then you should go ahead and switch games. Halo worked once(and still do), what says that it wont work with a modern touch?

I know im nitpicking now but Bungie has nothing to do with Halo:CEA except that they did the original game that 343 Industries have now updated!
