MW3's Multiplayer...

Before MW3 came out, I used to play quite alot of MW2's multiplayer whenever i could spare an hour or two. I remember that the gameplay and game mechanics (while sometimes extremely frustrating sue to my lack of FPS skill and being constantly noob-tubed) was balanced and easy enough where I could start to have genuine fun playing. Sadly, my copy broke and I have yet to even consider getting a replacement at this time.
Recently i've been playing MW3's multiplayer for a good two weeks now and have noticed something rather odd about it.

The game seems broken now.

I can't put my finger directly on the problem, but it feels to me like they drastically reduced the effectiveness of rifles while overpowering the sub-machine guns and machine pistols. The aiming seems less controllable (Although this might have something to do with the reduced accuracy on EVERYTHING), and many of the new perks strike me as rather useless in terms of gameplay.
I've lost track of the number of time where I would kill an enemy not by aiming down the sights and, but by firing blind and praying I hit something.
The fact that this tactic seems to be utilized by everyone playing and WORKS only makes me feel that the game is a technical step down from MW2.

Does anyone else experience or notice any of the things I mentioned?
Or am I just being unreasonable in expecting more of the old gameplay?

Assault rifles feel really powerful. Two of them at the moment are 2 shot kill anywhere on the body, and 1 shot to the head. ((The Mk14 and the Type 95))

I can barely even touch the SMG's. And theres only 1 machine pistol i think is overpowered.

And spraying is a big part of the game. It honestly has been for a while, its just that guns are alot more accurate from the hip then they used to be, and the patterns are less random.

It does feel a bit more broken, i wont lie, but the reason from it probably changes from person to person.

I tried it once, I felt like I died to fast and couldn't kill fast enough. It felt like I was adhering to hardcore rules health wise while everyone else was in normal. Gave it up after two games and went back to blowing up helicopters in Battlefield.

I thought the Type 95 was one hit kill? I swear I've been killed on full health by a single burst more than once.

Also, my experiences with hip fire with anything other than an SMG have shown that the tactic is far less effective than what it was in MW2.

*Edit*

They really need to nerf akimbo machine pistols and re-balance the shotguns. Only one shotgun is particularly useful and it's ludicrous watching some asshole exploit the bullet-hose, akimbo machine pistols.

Technically its 2 shot kill at most, but it does 55 Damage, with a 3 round burst. Add in the pin point accuracy, nearly 0 recoil and .5 second lag. Its basically 1 hit kill other then him sweeping his cross hairs, or taking 2 rounds to kick him massively off target ((aka: Angry Act of Odin striking him)). Its the most efficient killer in Mw3, and its getting hit hard in the next patch along with the FMG9.

It can be a 1 hit kill if your damaged at all ((1 round from any gun, or a fall far enough to hurt you) and and round hits you in the head.

Ive never used it. xD
I see weapons like these as crutches. Once they get toned down, people will have to learn to get better. But it makes me wish for the days like CoD 2, where everything was perfectly balanced, lag was at an all time low, and there was no hand holding for bad players.

Wait...what? You're complaining that MW3's sub-machine guns are too powerful relative to assault rifles, yet say MW2 is balanced? The game with the fucking sniper SMG? o_O

Also, for hard numbers on the weapons, here ya go!

http://www.imodernwarfare3.com/modern-warfare-3-weapons-stats-chart/

Personal taste in sights and value aside, SMGs only have the #2 slot and ARs have everything else until SMGs get #7 again. Though, really, all the guns are pretty damn close to each other. The differences are even less important in HC matches. Then it just might as well be a cosmetic change.

Edit: Also note they didn't rank the burst and single shot ARs. Kinda makes sense on that one.

There are only a couple mechanics that need to be changed, but the same could have been said about the past COD games. MW2 needed a fix on OMA and scavenger. Black ops needed to balance the fire rate of some of the assault rifles. MW3 now needs to have some weapons changed. They need to increase the hipfire spread on the FMG9 and the PP90 something or other smg. They need to very slightly decrease the damage on the Type 95, and they need to make the revolvers more accurate on the first shot from ADS.

I could keep going on, but the major thing I want fixed in multiplayer is vertical potential in the maps. The future DLC needs to create maps designed with the same vertical as maps from previous games like WMD from black ops, or Highrise from MW2.

Finally one big issue. Don't use the same objects and textures for two different uses. Major example is the dumpsters from the game. Some are placed and designed to be climbed on and used to shoot over some walls, while others with the same texture are just there in the way. Either make it so I can climb on all of them, or none of them.

That reason you gave is the exact same as the one given by the people who hated MW2. This is why I think MW3 is a good sequel. Love or Hate the COD series, MW3 is just continuing the trends they made even further.
For some of their fans it's gone to far it seems.

I understand that the gameplay needs to change certain aspects of itself whenever it re-released on the market and that many of the things that annoys me in MW3 were very present in MW2.
What I was stating was that those aspects seem to have been boosted to the point where the game feels largely unplayable.
Of course, this is only how I feel about the game and I expect every persons experience with it to be slightly different. I just wanted to ask others if they have noticed anything remotely similar to what i've seen.
