This may seem strange, but my camp partner has unbelievably strong OCD. Thing Nicholas Cage from Matchstick Men, he can't relax unless everything is organized and straight. He's also as afraid as spiders as John Ferguson is as afraid of heights in Vertigo. Problem is that its in Hawaii, and therefore bugs thrive year round. I don't suffer from OCD like him, but i have the attention span of a ferret. (I see something shiny, i tend to stare) How do i keep this guy calm without totally spazzing out and ruining my Christmas Camping trip?

Can't help him over the course of a camping trip.

If he really wants to fix it, he can see a shrink, that's about all I can suggest.

Wow, this sounds like a good movie already.

Oh, wait, we're actually talking about a real-life situation, huh? xD
To me, it sounds like this is the exact opposite of what he'd enjoy doing. You should advise him on what he should expect on the trip. Maybe it would just be best for him not to come along. Might as well not make him suffer the bugs and uncleanliness and ruin it for you as well.

There's not much you can do now, brother. Why would this person even want to go on a camping trip knowing they would just have anxiety the whole time? Looks like you're in for an amateur psych eval!

Valium. You'll never get any sleep until he does. (If you're uncomfortable administering a sleeping drug on someone else, the valium will work on you as well.)

Well he's not completely anxiety filled, he's just kind of like the con man from Matchstick Men.

you can't fix deep rooted phobias in one day and if you attempt to, you could just make it worse.

well, when you have to go to sleep, and can always knock him out or drug him.

jk

you can always get a really big tent with no windows (they're like mesh windows).

That way your friend can be in a room, not have to worry about spiders/bugs and everything will appear to be neat.

Just put a whole load of spiders on him while he sleeps. Reasoning, his OCD shall be concentrated on never allowing you to do that again. Possible outcomes 1. He kills you (unlikely), 2. You will be his center of attention and he'll try to never allow you to do it again. Or maybe he'll just leave, oh well do it for the Lulz anyway.

Smuther him with the biggest spider you can find and mess up the place as much as possible. It's not often you get a chance to traumatise someone and get away with it.

Why did/would you bring him along?

I mean wouldn't it have been simplier to bring someone else or spend christmas doing something other than camping?

Leave him at home, drug him, get him drunk, or abandon him in the woods.

You may try explaining to him that the woods are filled with dirt, and the parts that don't have dirt or sticks in a state of disarray have spiders.

Lots of spiders.

Hey, does Hawaii have tarantulas? What about banana spiders? If it does, I'd be scared too.

go out and get a bunch of small rubber spiders and once he falls asleep put them on his sleeping bag or just put them in his sleeping bag and in his shoes and such.

you can also taking things he's lined up and turn them around when he's not looking or change the order they're in as well

Be tidy. It's a virtue.
And I'm pretty sure he can deal with the spiders himself. But him an airsoft handgun or something.

Okay I have a number of solutions for your problem.
1. Restart the console.
2. Reload to a later save.

It probably won't be as bad as you think.

We have giant rock spiders in the Lava Fields.
