That SOB!!!

I hope the doctor pays. Pays dearly. Sue him, remove him from being a doctor anymore and anything else you can think of.

He probably disposed of it so they can't even reattach it. The poor man.

Should have at least let him know about it first. They said they could have treated it without amputation. The doc jumped straight to the last resort option.

I'd make jokes...but damn, it doesn't feel right.

I just hope he's not gonna kill himself, because I probably would.

Well actually, circumcisions are medically healthy for men. The fold of skin that covers the head of one's penis? Unless you clean it regularly and heavily each shower time, you can develop bacterial infections and other nasties. Also a place where warts and herpes can grow if you get them.
That's a complete exaggeration.

Yes, having a foreskin slightly increases your chances of an infection. But it also does many other things, such as increase sexual pleasure for both men and women, reduce, or eliminate, the need for artificial lubricant both in sex and masturbation and protect the glans from being desensitised from constant rubbing against underwear. And that's not even the full list.

Interestingly. If a man is circumcised in adulthood, a load of new nerves are revealed where the cut is made. And so such men will have increased sexual pleasure.
However if it is done shortly after birth, those nerves, along with the others the foreskin would have protected, will be desensitised long before he ever has sex, and so he will have reduced pleasure.

On the bright side, at least according to his faith, he may get extra perks in Heaven. Unless he's Christian, in which case, he'll get a pat on the back.
See this man? I'm quoting him not because his opinion is also mine, but because his avatar represents my face as I read this.

Anybody who can't keep their genitals clean probably has very little use for them anyway. And that useless flap of skin contains the only fine touch nerves men have in their genitals, seems fairly useful to me.

There is no amount of money in the world to compensate that man. I mean, the doc could have just woken him up and said "Hey, your dick's got cancer on it, do you want me to just lob it off?!" Then, the guy'd at least get a chance to say "No! Fuck You!" and get his cancer treated leaving his penis intact.

The look of horror lasted about 30 seconds and honestly I just want to curl into a ball for a while.

Also it seems weird to just call it Jewish Hospital, it sounds like something from Family Guy.

Wow just wow. that made my penis go into hiding.

and there is a jewish hospital where i live in ohio

I don't see why everyone's getting worked up about this; American parents pay doctors to mutilate their baby sons all the time because a primitive desert tribe couldn't let go of its barbaric traditions.

Wait a second, he apparently had cancer on it.
"The cancer turned out to be a stage one cancer, considered by many medical experts to be treatable."
...fuck...

Yeah... but the difference is that the penis is usually still attached.

This man went to this doctor for the same mutilation baby boys go through. That's all. Instead, he got it chopped off so there is no more penis.

That my friend would be the kicker and the reason for everyone getting so worked up.

I was circumcised when I was a baby. I am so glad because I cannot BEGIN to imagine having it done as an adult. And now, to have it down and find that the doctor whittled away until nothing was left. Eeeouch, poor guy.

This doctor should be tried for GBH and sued for medical malpractice.

Then, once the poor guy is loaded with the money of this idiot and his entire hospital, he should, on his own, force the doctor to cut off his own penis and reattach it to the his (the victim's) body. (unless he isn't hung at all, in which case he should charge the director to find and secure the staff of Lexington Steele, taking on all the dangers such a mission might ensure).

Christ, he bloody well turned him into Starr! (Preacher reference, woo!) I genuinely had to hold my crotch for a little while (I still am at the mo) after reading that, just so, so horrifying.

Would I get my penis cut off in exchange for a $1,000,000? Well, no. But if my penis was cut off, then I would totally go for the lawsuit. Capitalism!
