My childhood dog, Lady, actually noticed how we were always scooping her poop, and completely stopped pooping in our yard. She did her business across the street in a vacant lot, I believe. I never really investigated. Her only real issue was that she despised almost every other dog she met (besides my grandparents' dog, Rocket). She loved people though.
