OK, A, the rapist wasn't kicked off the team?

And B, the girl's still on the friggin' cheer squad after getting raped by a football player? Forgive me if my absurdly low opinion of her judgment threatens to supersede any sympathy I may have for her as a rape victim.

And finally, "then there was the ever-present football player rapist, they were all in love with dyin', they were doin' it in Texas."

/pourin' like an avalanche comin' down the mountain

Wow. I didn't get halfway through the first page before the Texas-flaming got too fucking much for me. What a sickening bunch of brain-dead degenerate trolls. You are truly the scum of The Escapist community. This story has nothing to do with Texas, imbeciles. This sort of thing could just as easily happen--and does happen--anyfuckingwhere else.

If there's any justice on these forums at all, a mass ban will be incoming.
You're insulting a large amount of people on the forums. That means that YOU are the troll here.

What are you talking about? I could understand saying that in reference to Skullkid, but why would you say that about people who are supportive of the rape victim? 4chan would be rooting for the rapist.
I'm obviously not referring to all the posters, just the choice pieces of human filth who have used this thread as an opportunity to spew their repulsive and insulting bile.

Um, has anyone considered the kid might be innocent?

He plea bargained out, I think that means he was never legally convicted of rape. How do we know that him and the girl weren't just boyfriend and girlfriend who had a bad breakup, and the girl was crying rape to get a bit of vengeance? The point is we don't. This is fucking America people, innocent until proven guilty.

Frankly, I don't see what the girl was doing on that cheer squad for her rapist's team. If I'd been raped, I'd want to get as far away from him as possible. I think the school could have been less dickish about it and just let her not shout his name, but for the most part, they seemed to at least be trying to protect both student's rights. I thought it was a really smart move to request the girl not eat in the cafeteria.

So ya.

You know, I think that's the most reasonable thing anyone's said on this whole thread, myself included. Pat yourself on the back an have a cookie, you deserve it.

Someone should hit that player in the face with a hard piece of metal. Then they should hit the judge, the jury who dismissed it, and the schools administration in the face even harder.
If by hard metal you mean the sharp part of a broadsword or fireaxe or a chainsaw, I agree.
Maybe one of these things?

Texas: Where bigger is better, and sports take higher priority than people.

This is just sick. Why would they even let a rapist on their team, anyway?

On a side note: I honestly want the southwest of the US to secede. Sure, we lose a few great states and cities, but we get rid of California and Texas.
I don't think California is part of the southwest. But still, yeah, they should secede. Preferably AFTER I'm back in Pennsylvania.

Hey democrats not even willing to read the full article but are instead just blaming Texas. 1. Yes it is sad but he was convicted. 2. If she had trouble she shouldnt have joined knowing he was on football. 3. ITS THE SCHOOLS FAULT THIS COULD HAPPEN ANYWERE! Geez people come on stop being one minded.
You make me sick. You're defending people shitting on human rights as well as a rapist. Seriously, it's sickening.

Sure, this is an article which rightly points out any attempts to stop women coming forward about sexual assaults.

But isn't there something against mentioning the name of the attacker for something he wasn't convicted of? They blanked out her name, why not his?
There's no law against saying people's names. They decided to be nice and not say hers. They can fuck with him if they want, there's no law against it.

From what I've seen, I agree about the like you part. Not that that's a good thing.

school shooting in the making, anyone?
I hope so. Everybody there besides for her deserves to die for not killing that asshole.

The person pleaded guilty and should have been shot for RAPE alone with his two friends of all the damn crimes. Or at least 30 years in jail.

Should I have been kicked outta school for mumbling the pledge of the allegiance for 3 years of my school life? I thought the damn thing was boring.
Personally, I mocked and mangled the disgusting thing. Nope, not exactly like what cults do, no siree.

Ah, Texas.

You've produced the worst President we've ever had, and now this.
That honor gose to Georgia
(carter had more pointless conflicts and higher unemployment)

but yea this is bad even by Texas standards
Ahh, but he didn't pass a bill shitting all over Freedom of Free Speech and our right to a fair trial (that would be Bush's PATRIOT Act).

Texas, proving once again that it's where the American sense of culture and justice goes to die.
Yeah cause its defiantly the state's fault not the schools. Just the whooooole state's fault.
It was the school's fault right up until the judge said that what the school did was perfectly acceptable and in accordance with state laws. After that, it was the entire state's fault.
One Judge in a county does not represent an entire state.
Funny thing, legally, he does.
Ah he comes the "Big man" again. I find it funny how you think this is automatically a human rights thing, it is not.

Took longer than expected for your type to come crawling out of the woodwork. Must be because you guys have a hard time making straight-faced posts whenever Texas inevitably screws, sodomizes, and kicks the pooch over a cliff.
I'd expect nothing less from a ill minded person from you.
If you're going to say silly things, refrain from replying to me. You're not exactly an IMDb-level troll. You're GameFAQs at best.
Cause you are totally better then me right? Youre just as much as a troll. It was your choice to say "Texas inevitably screws, sodomizes, and kicks the pooch over a cliff" Well guess what, theyre people too, if this was in any other state you would most likely leave it alone, but since prejudice has now entered the Escapist you had to have your fill.

Some people...

While I'm sure the school has their reasons, I can safely say I don't care for them no matter what they are.

Well, I guess that's it. I've got my machete, my good ol' Louisvile slugger, half a can of gas, my lighter, my surgical equipment, my plastic disposable throwover, my leather gloves, a change of clothes, my car, and enough money to drive to that school. Who's with me!

In all seriousness though, this is just all sorts of messed up. Its that 5% man, that five fuckin' percent.

I sortof understand the desicion. The girl had a perfectly acceptable reason to not be able to cheer, and thus shouldnt be cheerleading. On the otherhand that fuck shouldnt have still been on the basketball team in the first place.

...honestly!? A guy on the varsity basketball team RAPES a cheerleader, and he isn't, I don't know, EXPELLED?! Or at the very least kicked off the fucking team? AND NO JAIL TIME?!
Yeah...fucked up is an understatement on this one
