i think that alot of modern games are shit because they try to be too cinematic and they detract from the gameplay itself

basically you are a regular joe office worker and you arrive late for work, but when you arrive zombies have taken over the massive skyscraper you work in. unfortunatly you have left your jaffa cakes in your drawer in your office (which happens to be on the top floor). you must battle hordes of zombies and progress up the building on a daring mission to rescue the jaffa cakes. being set in an american office block there is not shortage of guns and makeshift melee weapons.

Sounds like a good freeware game, but it probably wouldn't get through any major publishers.

Fun idea though, especially about the guns all your coworkers were hiding in their desks.

Why would I want to risk my life by battling an army of zombies for a cake?!?

A beer on the other hand...

I'm gonna assume this is a joke (but just in case its not, thats a terrible idea), but anyway modern games aren't "shit"...

Interesting concept.

It could start out like the Sims, a few levels of mundane office work, then BAM! Zombie Mayhem! You could find out that you're actually working for an evil overlord, that your co-workers are all zombies or puppets...sounds like a good survival horror game if you ask me.

Nice idea. Although not big enough for a "real" game, it would do very well in an indie- or flash-game.

Replace the zombies (waaaaay to many zombie games these days) with something different and we're talking buisness.

A Jaffa Cake is no mere Cake! If you knew the glory of the golden orangey chocolaty treat you would understand just why these delicious goods are worth facing death at the hands of the zombie hordes!

I has a similar idea.

Except my idea revolves around the game tennis or ping-pong.

You would have two players each with their own racket, for simplicity sake you would only see and control the racket. Each player would move their racket vertically while trying to deflect or "hit" the ball to the opposing player. If that player should miss the ball, the other player gets a point! The appearance would be a simple white-on-black color scheme for good contrast to enhance each player's visual performance. Sound effects would also be implemented to allow each player to know when they have hit the ball and when they've scored.

I could make millions.

Did you copyright hat idea? If not, I might just steal it and make the game (as soon as I know how to load 3D models into a game).

awesome, it would be awesome,
why, because it is just shooty fun.
it just has to be centered on the gameplay,
I would buy it if it came out.

Replace the zombies with regular co-workers and have the player have been fired the day before. Then when he swings by to pick up the jaffa cakes he left in the break room the security guards wont let him in. Killing ensues and warning plot twist:

Turns out your boss ate your jaffa cakes yesterday after you left.

Plot twist over: Now that's a simplistic game.
