Rule number 1 with Fable, ignore the hype, read a review of the game, make a decision.
In fact, that's a fair rule with any game.

The (other)final boss has what looks like a hokey mask!Blair Bennett said:I'm probably going to buy, or at least rent it, simply because I want to hear John Cleese say some more funny things. As long as it's not as anti-climactic as Fable 2, it should be fine.
For the record, the original Fable was pretty much the most badass game ever. I mean, you......have to fight of a giant Kraken...with your freaking MOM! The final boss turns into a motherfucking dragon!
yeah anyone that thinks fable 2 is awful is pretty stupidJonny1188 said:Fable 2 was just awful, but I have hopes for this new game. Guess that makes me stupid.
So is anyone who thought it was anything better than average.Jroo wuz heer said:yeah anyone that thinks fable 2 is awful is pretty stupid
Yep, I've largely avoided all the previews and such for Fable 3. It'll probably make it more enjoyable.Straying Bullet said:Those people who actually believed Peter and fell into his hype, obviously failed. I bought both games without the hype and listening to his empty promises.
It doesn't change that this is a typical British game. It has it's charm and atmosphere and I personally cannot wait for the Butler that will guide you through the game, also the dialogue has ramped up alot more hours than Fable II. Just don't believe everything Peter says, admitted, he caved in and his PR makes sure he tells things that are possible in the game itself.
For me, I get this game regardless, it's a must-have title for me.
