Welcome to my new RP, "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: Record of the Equestrian Civil War"!

This is basically set in the future of Equestria... though I apologize for any OOCness in canon characters. There's somewhat of a reason... but hopefully we'll get to that point...

The Players:

CrazyGirl17 (My own character, though the sheet has been edited)

Name: Loose Leaf
Appearance: Female Pegasus, with pink fur, and a brown mane/tail, Cutie Mark is a notebook with papers sticking out, is about 18 years old
From: Equestria; currently Arcadia City
Occupation: Works in a book store
Personality: Loose Leaf is generally cheerful and easy-going, always willing to lend a helping hoof. She is also very well-read, but often gets too caught up in her reading to notice what's going on around her. She has a reputation for being a bit of a klutz, often falling over her hooves or knocking things over by accident. But she's not stupid, she's just somewhat scatterbrained. Loose Leaf is very kind and caring, with a strong sense of justice, and hates seeing others suffering.
Bio: Loose Leaf was born in the Seadle, but her parents moved to the to the small town of Coltenville in Arcadia shortly before the war began. She grew up hearing all of the pro-Arcadia propaganda from both her parents and the society around her, and did believe in Arcadian superiority for much of her life... until talk of the war beginning again started up, forcing Loose Leaf to change her point of view...

Matt S. Hoimyr

Name: Silver Snow

Appearance: earth pony (yes someone actually picked earth pony) - body is blue - eyes and hair is brown - cutiemark: quill and papir - about 21 years old - a boy - Burn wound on left front hoof
edit: photo is mirrored (my bad)

From: Northern Vanhoover

Occupation: journalist

Personality: shy but still kind of outgoing and active, a master at speaking before talking and may at times come off as cold and sarcastic (a little bit like yatzhee for ZP when i think about it) but still loyal and honest and willing to give anything to help he's friends. He?s friendly and love to learn about the different types of ponies and non-ponies and believe that everyone has a story to tell. Not the most intelligent pony you are going to meet but a great stallion by heart. Sadly, he struggles a bit with a fear of fire after accident at young age (see the left front hoof)

Bio: born way up north, mother was a Pegasus, father was a unicorn. the entire town was expecting an alicorn, they where all disappointed when he became an earth pony. from young age have gotten used to cold wheatear, worked on he's parents farm since the day he could walk. After a blizzard that destroyed the farm. He?s family moved to ponyville. Where he realized that ponies should start taking more show interest in the community around them. he Became a journalist to be able to bring the truth out to the people. After 1 year on the job as a journalist he had taken a holiday up to canterlot to see he's big city cousin on hearts warming eve. While there he and he's cousin decided to go see the play as he watched the show he started to think he wanted to take a trip to Arcadia City, so he used money he borrowed from he's family he's was off to seek a new life in Arcadia. after living 4 year in Arcadia working as a journalist for Arcaina daily the war begins, after hearing that he was being ordered by Princess Magica to join her general army he cowardly dodging he's responsibilities and deserting from the general army of Arcadia, while scaping he knocked over a cart in to the river and destroyed 2 months of food (making him a wanted fugitive and not really welcome in Arcadina) he is now trying to find he's way back in to equestria and find he's family. While fleeing from the Shadowbolts in the forest one night he smacks head on in to a tree and passes out, when he wakes up he tries to walk, loses balance and falls down a small muddy hillside.

Folji

Folji said:
Name: Coral Chase
Appearance: Coral Chase is a young male pegasus pony of an average build with a light brown coat. His eyes have a pale green tone and a very attentive appearance, set in an oval and otherwise lightly featured face. The space between his eyes hosts a small cluster of freckles, more packed in the centre than further out on either side.
His mane is a thick bundle of auburn, and his tail largely the same, with a modestly wavy appearance and a tendency for curled tips--especially down the back of his head. His hair also has a high frequency of coral in between the auburn, brought together in a two-toned mixture that doesn't blend entirely. His cutie mark is a stopwatch with the timer arrow at the start of a thirty degree wide red zone before zero mark.

From: Fillydelphia, Equestria
Occupation: Coral works for a parcel delivery service, specializing in express delivery of parcels and messages.

Personality: Coral Chase knows not to get involved in things he shouldn't, although it's not easy to tell those situations apart on the go. He prefers to keep a pretty straight-forward outlook on things, living in the here and now without much thought for the next year, next month, or even the next day. It's a tendency that makes him pretty receptive to frequent changes, often to the point where he actually likes it when things don't stay the same for long.
That said, he also prefers that things are kept just as simple as they're kept straight-forward, when everything's exactly what it seems and there aren't any hidden secrets waiting to complicate the whole situation. Most of this distaste for complications comes from his bad tendency to overlook the finer details of a situation until they hit him right across the face.
Overall he enjoys getting along with other ponies, sharing moments and finding a common ground, but the approachable attitude doesn't always extend to those who aren't ponies.

Bio: Coral's family hadn't been living in Fillydelphia for more than a few years before he came to, originally of Appleloosan heritage, but already from early on he came to consider the bustling city to be his roots. Not even the family's frequent trips across Equestria, to visit relatives down in the hot south, did much to change how those busy streets just felt like the right place to be. Following the war, the pegaus lost most ties to his extended family, and soon enough all his biggest concerns in life were the things that affected him directly. He enjoyed a fast-paced way of life and that was exactly where he found himself, always racing against the clock as he made a lifestyle out of making deliveries around both Fillydelphia and Equestria as a whole.

Not G. Ivingname

Name: Lettucehead

Appearance: Dark green Earth Pony with a brown mane and a Lettuce for a cutie mark.

From: North of Ponyville at Lettuce Farms

Occupation: Farmer

Personality: A simple farmer. Strong but not to bright. He doesn't know much beyond farming, his immediate area, mostly relies on the land and himself to live, only talking to other folk when he is selling his product and his lettuce. Stuck in routine, alone on his farm without many friends or family, never with much help besides the seasonal plantings, although he don't really mind. To him, it is just life. His Cutie Mark says he is a lettuce farmer, why should he do anything different? He does not listen or care about the "Everfree talk," unprepared and unaware for the things to come.

Bio: Sole son to a rather old couple, Lettucehead spent most of him time tending to the farm, only getting some education from Ponyville's school. Didn't make a lot of friends in life, besides some of the shop keepers he brought his product to. Never went to another day of school the day his parents died, although he wasn't sad about it. All ponies die, and no time to mourn when there is hard work to do! Not much has changed in life, never advanced a Mare for a hand in marriage, never sought great adventures, got on the town train, or even gone more than four miles from his farm. He only vaguely knows what is going on that isn't related directly to his Lettuce. He learned of the Changeling wedding fiasco several months after it happened and doesn't even know that the Elements of Harmony live in Ponyville (even less what they are). Now he mostly dismisses the rumors of weird things happening in the Everfree (don't weird things always happen in that darn forest?) or get to know any who hasn't lived in the town for at least several years.[/quote]

Ultraman950

Name: Arieal
Appearance: A 20-ish-year-old female Griffon with black feathers and white marks around her yellow eyes; head-and-shoulders taller than most ponies.
From: Arcadia City, Arcadia. Still there.
Occupation: Shadowbolt Sargent.
Personality: Friendly, if headstrong and stubborn, which served her well in the Shadowbolts. There's nothing she loves more than curb-stomping anything that tries to take her down.
Bio: Being a griffon, Arieal's been flying her entire life, and even had prospects of joining the Wonderbolts at one point, until she realized how good she was at aerial combat and dogfighting instead of just putting on a show, but the Royal Sisters wouldn't let her into their army. They said it was because she was too brash, but she knew better (That was actually the reason, for the record; Arieal's just stubborn). Right away, she joined up with Princess Magica in the Shadowbolts, figuring her plumage fit better with their aesthetic anyway.

She quickly rose in rank until she hit a glass ceiling at Sargent. She was fine with it, though, she didn't want no stinkin' desk job.

Shadowstar38
Name: Aurora Force

Appearance: A teenage unicorn with grey fur, a black mane, and dark red eyes. He's incredibly then and looks slightly sickly. He always wears a black hooded clock with an emblem of an eclipse on it. His cutie mark is the alchemic symbol for Pluto.

From: Trottingham, Equestria.

Occupation: Former Night Trooper

Personality: Aurora is extremely smug to every pony around him. He is confident in his abilities, often thinking himself to be superior to anyone. Despite this, he always seems to have a cheery disposition and enjoys a good laugh. Though it's mostly at other people's expense.

Bio: Aurora was born in Trottingham 6 years before the war. He grew up in a home with a single father and his cousin Virgo. He spent his youth studying magic, eventually gaining his cutie mark after becoming proficient at ice spells.

After the war broke out, Aurora's father started going away on extended business trips. After coming back from one such trip, Aurora's father was killed by an intruder. It was surmised to be a regular home invasion, but the culprit was never caught. The event instilled a sense of justice in Aurora, and he signed up to join the night tropes years later. However, months after becoming a cadet, Aurora came home to a seal envelope sitting on his desk. Opening it revealed a letter with a cryptic clue.

The truth rests below the moon

Aurora searched through his father's old office and found a secret compartment in the floor under a painting of Luna. In it were troop movements from the Equestrian army, and bits smelted with the Arcadian seal. Upon learning of his father's former dealings, Aurora defected to the Republic of Arcadia, and is wondering trying to find a new home.

Skywolf09

Name: Eos Dawn

Age: 42

Appearance: Female Unicorn, her coat a light blue, her mane a mix of orange and blonde, her eyes a deep green. Her cutie mark is that of a large mountain or rock with a sun rising up from behind it.

From: Whinneapolis, Equestria

Occupation: Former Day Soldier in the Royal Equestrian Army, Currently Unemployed

Personality:
While somewhat friendly and outgoing, Eos is often regarded as a bit of a pushover and too eager to do what others tell her rather than think for herself. When provoked, however, she can suddenly become very assertive and dominant, often displaying exceptional and surprising leadership skills. She believes this is the reason for her cutie mark, that it is not simply representative of her name but rather how behind her usual outside appearance can be found something bright and powerful just waiting to rise up and be unleashed.

Eos is still haunted by what she endured during her time in the military as well, still to this day having flashbacks and nightmares to the events surrounding Sefapane and the ponies that were killed as a result. She often carries little trinkets related to those whom she lead to safety years ago (an example being a copy of the novel "The Stars May Be" written by a comrade named 'Penn Wright'), all of which she holds close and rarely travels without.

Bio:
Born and raised in Whinneapolis, Eos Dawn spent much of her early years helping her father whom ran a carpentering business. She grew rather close to her father, but for a long time she yearned for something more than the life she had. Convinced by a Army Recruiter, at age 18 she joined up as a Day Soldier in the Royal Equestrian Army, somehow rising through the ranks and managing to become a Captain (something that was regarded as almost a fluke by her superiors).

During her service in the Military, Eos was deployed overseas in the Mosate Selao Conflict as part of the large force deployed to help the local government defeat a rebel force that caused a civil war to break out. While there, she was stationed in the town of Sefapane, which was overrun by a surprise attack by rebel forces. She and a small band of fellow soldiers (whom she became the impromptu leader of) managed to escape and trek approximately 30km through hostile territory to meet up with the main allied force. Most of her comrades whom were stationed in Sefapane, however, died or went missing in the attack.

After Mosate Selao, Eos stayed in the Army for several years, finally leaving and returning to her hometown of Whinneapolis right after Equestria split in two. Since then, she's worked a small variety of odd jobs but so far has not found something she wants to stay in.

Eos is also very much against the prospect of war breaking out between Equestria and Arcadia, afraid that what she saw in Mosate Selao will be repeated on her own home soil.

Trucken

Name: Hurley

Gender: Male, earth pony

Age: 36

Appearance: Hurley is big. Really big. He's usually a head taller than everyone else and the only one taller than him (that he has met) was Princess Celestia at the famous Grand Gallopping Gala. Since he also has a massive build he can look quite intimidating. His size comes from genetics, years of heavy manual labour and his time as a professional hoofball player.
Eyes: Blue
Fur: Lightbrown
Mane/tail: Black
Hooves: Grey
Hurley also wears a hat that looks just like Applejacks. In fact, it was a gift from her and Big Macintosh. There's a dark pink rose attached to the hat that has been magically altered by Rarity to look pretty forever.

Cutie Mark: A hoofball. He received his mark when he tried out for the school team when he was young. He was easily the most impressive player on the field (due to an already impressive size and strength), but only attended once due to being bullied by other players. He became a professional player later in life though.

From: Bastion, The Republic of Arcadia

Occupation: Recently retired hoofball player, currently unemployed. It doesn't bother him financially, but he's looking for a job, trying to keep himself occupied.

Personality: Hurley could be the very definition of a gentle giant. He's never bucked someone in anger and he doesn't like conflicts. This is most likely related to the fact that he was bullied when he was young. He would rarely let anyone in close due to trust issues, but this has changed over the years. He's usually quiet around ponies he doesn't know that well, but he's very talkative among friends. Hurley's not the sharpest pony around and is actually a bit dumb, but he sometimes shows flashes of brilliance.

Bio: Hurley grew big early (hah, it rhymed!). He was always the biggest colt in school but was bullied because of his size and it lead to him developing a low self esteem and never trying to achieve anything special. He just wanted to blend in and not be picked on. This led to him quitting hoofball despite showing amazing promise. It also lead to him never trying to get good grades. He never told his parents about the bullying but they suspected it. Not being able to help Hurley with his problems in school they instead did their best to give him a loving home.

After Hurley finished school he decided to leave his hometown Bastion. He wanted to find somewhere to live where he was accepted despite his size. That proved more difficult than he had imagined. Very few had actually met a pony of Hurley's size and most ponies would either get scared or laugh when they saw him. Despite this Hurley always managed to find work wherever he went. He was a hard worker and his strength made him perfect for physical labour. He rarely stayed anywhere longer than a month though. At first it was because he was determined to find a place where he would be accepted for who he was, but eventually he became somewhat of a drifter.

Hurley actually worked for the Apple family for about a month. This was around 3 years before Twilight Sparkle's banishment. He grew very close with Applejack and Big Macintosh during his time there and would probably have stayed in Ponyville if he didn't suddenly get homesick and wanted to see his parents, whom he hadn't heard from in 4 years. He returned to Bastion and started working with his father as a carpenter. Hurley wasn't that good at it, but he did the best he could and focused on doing the heavy lifting instead.

But even though Hurley was happy to be home again he felt that something was missing. Naturally, it was hoofball. After kicking a hoofball around during his spare time, he was noticed by an agent from the professional hoofball team Bastion Breakers. He was immediately invited to their training camp, but Hurley hesitated. He remembered what happened when he was young, but he kept hearing Applejack's voice in his head, pushing him on. He struggled at first, but eventually hit his stride and showed a lot of promise as a defensive player. He signed with the Breakers, and the rest is history.

He quickly became one of the biggest stars in the league and there were very few in Equestria that didn't know who he was. When the war broke out the league was put on hold. When it ended the league split into two new ones, one for Equestria and one for Arcadia. Hurley continued playing for the Breakers for a couple of seasons and even won the Arcadian championship a couple of times.

Hurley often thinks about Applejack and Big Macintosh. He was stunned hearing the propaganda saying that everypony in Old Equestria was evil and not to be trusted, especially since AJ and Big Mac had been so kind to him all those years ago. But the government wouldn't lie to him, would they?

Gabmed

Name: Uron Jalim

Appearance: 23y.o. male red-eyed Zebra with short black mane and tail.

From: All over the place. Currently, in Canterlot, where he courses Law School.

Occupation: Law Intern, has just graduated from Law School.

Personality: Uron is a very calm, cheerful zebra. His non-existing accent, along with his simple appearance, makes talking to him feels like talking to a striped pony. He is righteous and feels like he should help Equestria be a more equal place, using the Arcadian ideology.

Bio: Uron was born in a zebra village in the jungle, but his family moved soon after his birth, in order to give him a better life. They moved to Arcadia City, where Uron cursed elementary school. That's where he learnt about Arcadian ideology, and fell in love with it. His parents were having trouble with money, however, and had to move to a cheaper, Equestrian city. Little is known about Uron's Middle and High school, but he does not like talking about it. He finished Law School in Canterlot with no major problems and is now working in an internship.

Takuanuva
Name: Lumen Sunshine
Appearance: White-coated unicorn with yellow mane, tail and eyes. He looks rather thin and weak, and, usually, rather nervous when others look at him. His cutiemark is a yellow star surounded by 6 smaller, dull-yellow stars. He's 29 years old.
From: Born and raised in Ponyville, although currently he lives in Arkadia.
Occupation: He's a skilled illusionist, sometimes performing in public. His main source of income is, however, the production of glow-in-the-dark gems, which just about covers most of his basic needs.
Personality: Somewhat shy and nervous. He tries his best to help everyone he can, even though he knows that it's not always possible. In stressfull situations, he tends to hide or flee rather than fight. His loyalty is somewhat torn between the two countries for various reasons.
Bio: Lumen was born in Ponyville, where he spent most of his life, living somewhat in isolation due to how nervous he was around others. He spent his time trying to find a way to overcome his social phobias, as well as studying magic, mostly spells somewhat related to controlling and creating light, such as illusions, invisibility and so on. This made him a somewhat frequent guest in the Ponyville library, which resulted in him meeting Twilight Sparkle on several ocasions. After Twilight was banished, Lumen, torn between loyalty to somepony he considered a friend, who he felt couldn't have done anything wrong, and his loyalty towards Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, whom he both respected and feared, he finally decided, after several weeks passed, to follow Twilight, mostly because of the way other ponies were trying to forget about her. He currently lives on the outskirts of Arkadia City, doing his best to help whomever he can, even though he knows that, at least on the financial level, he can barely sustain himself.

Anyway, this is only the first part, the actual opening post is coming soon! (And by soon, I mean tomorrow, due to some circumstances.)

In the dark recesses of the Everfree Forest, Twilight Sparkle trudged through the undergrowth, her head lowered and tears streaming down her face. Her lavender coat was splattered with mud and bruises, as if she had taken some abuse.

And indeed she had, both physically and emotionally.

In her head, she replayed the last words her brother, friend and mentor had said to her before she was forced into the forest.

"And now back to the Everfree Forest where you belong and never come back!"

"Go on and git yah no-good Liar!"

"Go back where you came from you Cruel Monster!"

"You're never going to make anypony grouchy again, you Angry Meanie!"

"Good riddance, the place is better without ponies like you, you Thief!"

"Don't you ever come back to Equestria ever again, Traitor!"

"Let the name of Twilight Sparkle be unheard and unspoken, to be erased from the memory of everypony, for all time."

Their words stung her like a million wasps. They called this mercy? Was all she could think of.

As if sensing her mood, it began to rain, making her even more depressed.

"It's just as well," she said to herself, "It's not like anypony wants me..."

She couldn't understand it. Why did she have to be punished like this? All she had done was try to help everypony, and what they done in return? They threw her out like yesterday's garbage. After all she had done for them, and they had turned their backs on her, just like that?

Twilight wandered through the forest as if on autopilot, not playing any attention to her surroundings until she finally took a moment to look up.

In front of her was a gorge with a simple rope bridge stretched across it leading to a crumbling ruin. Her eyes widened in recognition. "This is...!"

With the rain coming down around her, Twilight saw the crumbling old castle as her only chance for shelter, but first, she had to cross the bridge. Reluctantly, she began to walk across; half-hoping it would give way beneath her and send her falling to her death.

Instead, her hooves eventually hit solid ground, and she, somewhat reluctantly, took refuge in the ruins, casting an illuminating spell to light the darkness. Twilight wandered through the ruined castle, listening to the wind and rain outside. She didn?t know where she would go after the storm let up, but for now, she would just stay here.

"Maybe I should stay here for the rest of my life?" She commented, feeling tears well up in her eyes again.

After some more walking, she came to a halt, finding herself in a large, empty room, the same one that had once held the Elements of Harmony. And yet, there was something about this place that made the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. It was almost as if something else was in here with her...

"H-hello? Is anypony there?" Nervously, she took a few steps backwards, glancing around. But nothing answered her, though the shadows seemed to deepen.

Twilight backed up against the wall in terror as the shadows around her suddenly rose up and there was a cold voice that seemed to come from everywhere.

"I've been waiting for you, Twilight Sparkle." It said, and with a wicked cackle swept towards the terrified unicorn.

Twilight barely had any time to scream before the darkness engulfed her.

Seven Years Ago...

In Ponyville, life continued on as it always had, though things had changed in the past few years...

"Spike! Where are those papers on the Pony-Buffalo Treatise?"

The young dragon peered down from his perch on the bookshelf, a book clutched in one clawed hand. "I've got it right here, Twilight!"

From across the room, the pale blue unicorn narrowed her eyes at him. "What did you call me?"

Blinking nervously, Spike dropped down to the floor. "Er... I mean Trixie."

"That?s right," the unicorn said pompously, "After all, who else would be chosen for such a role?"

Spike said nothing, biting back the response he wanted to make. While initially he had been among those who believed in Twilight's guilt, after a while, he began to question what had really happened. The problem was whenever he tried to talk with any of the other ponies about it, they had all snapped angrily at the topic, even ponies like the easy-going Pinkie Pie or the kindhearted Fluttershy. And the thing of it was... he could barely even remember what she had done to get herself banished.

Thankfully, he was saved from having to explain himself after belching up a scroll bearing Celestia's seal.

Trixie telekinetically snatched it from him and unfolded it, her violet eyes scanning the parchment.

"What's it say?" Spike ask curiously. Trixie said nothing for a moment, then turned her gaze on him.

"Summon the others," she commanded, "the Princess has something for us to do..."

-

Some time later, the six ponies walked (or in Pinkie Pie's case, hopped) through the Everfree Forest, thinking about Celestia's message.

My Dearest Student,
I have been hearing reports of strange activity in the Everfree Forest, and need you to go in to confirm that there is even something there, and if it holds any danger for Equestria
Your Teacher,
Celestia

"Okay, is is just me, or does this place seem... different from when we were last here?" Applejack spoke up, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, it's not quite as creepy-scary as it was before!" Pinkie agreed.

"I wonder what could have caused this... frankly miraculous change..." Rarity mused.

Soon enough, they came across a possible reason why. Spread out before them was a relatively new-looking community with ponies of all shapes and colors wandering around. But it wasn't just ponies, they could see Gryphons, Zebras even a few Diamond Dogs among them.

"Wow! It's so big!" Fluttershy gaped.

"Yeah... but where did it all come from?" Pinkie wondered.

Before they could get any further, they were stopped by a pair of armored soldiers wielding spears.

"Halt! What is your business here?" One demanded.

Trixie just smirked. "We - and by we I mean I, The Great and Powerful Trixie - have been sent here by Princess Celestia to examine reports of a strange activity in the Everfree Forest... and it seems the rumors are well-founded. What is this place?"

"This is Arcadia," the solider explained. "It is a community for lost souls, ruled by the benevolent Princess Magicka."

The visitors blinked. Another Princess?

Trixie was the first to find her voice. "Where is this Princes of yours? I wish to speak with her."

The soldiers regarded them for a moment before the other spoke up. "Follow us, then."

They lead the six ponies through the streets, as passersby either stared at them or ran to hide.

"What are they all staring at?" Fluttershy whispered nervously.

"Dunno! Maybe they've never seen ponies like us before!" Pinkie said cheerfully.

"Well, at least they know fine-looking ponies when they see it!" Rarity preened.

Soon they came to a partially built building that looked like a palace of some sort. It wasn't very grand, but it had the potential to be so.

"Enter." Boomed a deep voice, and the six of them stepped inside to meet the ruler of Arcadia.

Standing in front of them was clearly an Alicorn Princess, but one they had never seen before. She had purple fur and a flowing mane and tail of a darker violet with pink stripes and a cutie mark of a multi-pointed pink star surrounded by multiple small white stars, as well as silver jewelry inlaid with amethyst-like stones. Standing around her were multiple guards, all well-armed.

There was something familiar about her, but the six of them could not for the life of them figure out what it was. It was almost like something was keeping them from making the connection...

"I am Princess Magicka, ruler of this community. Why have you come?" The Alicorn asked, her voice like cold ice.

Naturally, Trixie took the lead, puffing herself up prominently. "On the behest of Princess Celestia, we have come to..."

"I know who you are," Magicka said suddenly, "Mere pawns to the tyrant Celestia?"

That caught the visitors off-guard, but only for a minute.

"Now see here," sputtered Applejack, "I don't know who you think you are or why you hate Celestia so much, but we won't stand for such... hogwash!"

Magica's eyes narrowed into slits. "Oh your poor, deluded foals, do you really believe that what your precious Princess tells you? Can you really listen to a ruler who will gladly stamp all over her subjects?"

"That's enough!" Snapped Rainbow Dash, getting into a fighting stance, "You wanna talk, or do you wanna fight?!"

A smirk slid across the Princess' face. "So be it..." Around her, the guards prepared to fight. The other challengers all got into a fighting stance as well before charging in.

Magicka hung back, watching as they managed to fend off the soldiers using a variety of skills ranging from physical fighting to magic. And once all of them had been thrown aside, they turned their attention on Princess Magicka.

"Now for you!" Rainbow Dash shouted, and they all charged towards her... only for her to blast them back with a blast of magic. As they struggled to their hooves, they could feel an aura of sheer darkness surrounding her.

"And now you see that you can never be able to stand against me. Run back to Celestia and tell her to beware, for I am coming."

The six ponies scrambled to their hooves, backing away nervously before quickly retreating. Magicka watched them go, with no emotion on her face.

"Majesty," spoke up a nearby guard, as he got up, "What do you want to do now?" The Princess just smirked.

"Simple. We begin our conquest of Equestria."

Equestria had been thrown into turmoil ever since the war began, and to make matters worse, propaganda spread by those on the Arcadian side was helping convince a lot of ponies to come join them... for various reasons.

For instance, at Sweet Apple Acres, a row was going down that could be heard for miles around.

"You're what?!"

Apple Bloom winced at her sister's voice, but otherwise stood firm. Next to her was a small bag filled with all her possessions. "You heard me, I'm going to join Arcadia, and you can't stop me!"

From the doorway of the house, Big Macintosh and Granny Smith watched the scene, unsure of whether or not to stop the argument.

"But why?" AJ demanded. "And don't just say it's for your Cutie Mark!"

The younger filly stomped her hoof angrily. "I don't want to stay here any more, not with you holding me back!"

Applejack looked shocked, then her face turned cold. "Why you ungrateful little brat! After everything we did for you, you just up and turn your back on us? Well, get out of here! I never want to see you again!"

Apple Bloom narrowed her eyes and tossed her bag over her shoulder and walked towards the entrance where her friends waited.

Together, they walked out of Ponyville and their old lives.

Arcadian soldiers stood at the ready as the two Alicorn Princesses passed them, just in case the pair made any move they didn't like.

"Sister," Luna whispered, "Do you think this... Princess Magicka will listen?"

"I hope so." Her sister agreed, "I'm afraid we might not have a choice..."

They soon reached a pair of silver doors decorated with images of stars and planets. Moments later, they swung open to reveal a lavish throne room with statues and wall hangings, all with a coloring scheme with varying shades of purple and with silver lining. Princess Magicka herself sat upon a silver throne, staring down at them with cold eyes.

"I presume you are the so-called Princess Magicka?"

"And you must be Celestia." Smirked the other Alicorn. "I've heard so much about you."

"Enough." Celestia said sharply, "You know why we're here."

"Indeed, it seems our forces seems to be getting nowhere in this war. I assume you have a peace treaty you want me to sign?

Celestia didn't answer, instead she telekinetically pulled out a scroll, which she passed over to Magicka for her to read.

As they talked, Luna's gaze shifted over to a trio of fillies in the corner regarding them coldly, a Unicorn, a Pegasus and an Earth Pony. All three seemed to have a Cutie Mark each, but they looked so familiar...

Luna was snapped out of her thoughts when she heard her sister speaking again. "I take it everything is to your liking?"

The other Alicorn just smiled. "Very well then. Seeing as how both sides are deadlocked, I see no other choice but to sign the ceasefire..."

She looked directly at them when she said this, and Luna got chills down her spine. Was it just her imagination, or did this new Princess seem a bit too accepting of this?

Princess Luna sighed as she looked out over the land, thinking about the current state of Equestria, as had been effectively split down the middle, and no one (pony or otherwise) seemed willing to do anything about it.

Well, not everyone...

Brightening, Luna retreated into her room, pulling a piece of parchment from underneath her bed and began to read it:

Dear Princess Luna,
I know this might be strange, but I've been thinking that ever since Twilight... left, things have been getting worse, especially after the whole war... Normally, I would ask Princess Celestia about it, but considering how violent everypony seems to get when I bring it up... I didn't know who else to turn to. Thanks for letting me vent, I guess.
Spike

As Luna read the message, a plan inspired by this and her previous thoughts began to form in her head, one that hopefully help solve the problem. It was a bit of a stretch, but...

Casting the message aside, she ran out the balcony, where she lifted her head towards the moon and closed her eyes.

If you can hear me, then please... something is very wrong, and you must be ready to face whatever comes...

Her horn glowed brightly as she sent tendrils of magic through the night, seeking out those who were willing to make a change. She didn't know what would happen now, only that the seeds of longing for something else had been planted in fertile minds.

All over both Equestria and Arcadia, young individuals (and not just ponies) heard her voice in their heads, tossing and turning in their sleep...

Equestria, Ponyville

As the town bordering on the edge of the Everfree Forest, and in turn, Arcadia, Ponyville had grow into a sort of trading hub for both countries.

But while peace had reigned for some time that didn't mean there was tension under the surface...

On this day, Fluttershy was going into town to pick up more supplies for her animal friends, when she saw Rarity pass by.

"Oh hello, Fluttershy!"

"Hello Rarity. Where are you off to?"

"The Post Office. I have a few things I want to look into..."

But before she could say any more, there was a loud explosion off in the distance, sending a pillar of smoke into the air and making both of them jump.

"Goodness gracious, what was that?!" Rarity yelped.

Right on cue, Appplejack came running down the street towards them. "Did ya'll see that?" She asked.

"Y-yes. Wonder what happened?" Fluttershy stammered out.

"Well, whatever it was, she oughta go see what's goin' down!"

And with that, she continued on her way. The other two traded looks before following after her.

-----

Arcadia, Arcadia City

Across the border, Arcadia city was a bustling metropolis, full of not only Ponies, but creatures like Zebras, Griffons, Diamond Dogs, and others.

The inhabitants of Arcadia liked to think of themselves as more open-minded than Equestria was... but they took it a bit too far at times...

-

In a small book shop in the middle of Arcadia City, a young Pegasus mare was busy restocking the shelves, carrying a stack of books... but when she tried to place a book, she lost her grip and ended up dropping them all to the floor. "Woah, woah, WOAH!"

In response to all the noise, an older Unicorn stallion entered, shaking his head with a sigh. "I see you've tried do too much by yourself again, Loose Leaf."

The Pegasus quickly landed, stammering out, "S-sorry Mister Book Worm!"

Her boss just shook his head again. "Forget it, why don't you take a break? I can handle things here."

Loose Leaf blinked. "T-thanks!" She exclaimed and happily trotted out the door into the bright sunshine, hearing the sounds of the bustling city around her, almost there was like a celebration going on.

It seemed like a normal day in Arcadia City, but that was soon to change...

Yeah, sorry about this taking so long, I kinda had trouble figuring out how it would go... and I feel some parts are a bit rushed. One more thing... While it's pretty obvious (at least to the actual players) who Magicka really is, but the characters (canon and otherwise) either don't know that or are unable to make the connection. Just so you know.

(Ok, interesting thus far...

Just to get this out of the way now, when I talk in these brackets I am talking out of character.

Anything that isn't in a bracket is IN character, for example....)

"Princess Magiwho? Aren't Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and the other one the only rulers of our land?"

(Note, just an example, not actual knowledge my character posecess.)

Yes, posting is open everyone! Basically, if you're in Equestria (at the moment game-wise) you start off in Ponyville, and if you're in Arcadia, start in Arcadia City, just start posting and wait for things to pick up. The characters on both sides will eventually meet up, though...

Aireal soared through the skies above Arcadia as fast as her wings could carry her. Which, all told, was pretty darn fast. She was a black streak leaving holes in the clouds, deftly dodging around birds, pegasi, and other things that might get in her way. She liked her job as a Sargent in the Shadowbolts, but she loved her days off even more.

She was starting to get tired though. Flapping your wings for several hours nonstop'll do that to ya. She found a nice landing strip not too far from this little bookshop in the city. She'd never been in it, but she knew some people who had, and they liked it. She wasn't terribly interested in going in today, either, but it wasn't a bad-looking place. Maybe someday...

Her thoughts were interrupted when a little pegasus pony (little to Aireal, anyway) burst through the door, looking rather excited. "Easy there, kid!" she said, grinning. "Where's the fire?"

Lettucehead filled his chart with the last head of lettuce. First time he's been in Ponyville in two months. He filled with extra lettuce, since last time he made his delivery, the town was bussiling and booming with new merchants, shops, and restruants. Didn't care much why, heard chat about Arcod or something, which he swear he heard talked about before, but didn't pay much attention to it.

Pulling the very large chart, he headed off towards the town. "First stop, the market square," Lettucehead mentally remembered.

...uhm...so...first post...
Somewhere in Arcadia City...

...a white unicorn was working inside a crammed workshop.

There wasn't much space in there. One of the reasons why was because said workshop also doubled as the unicorn's bedroom, kitchen...his entire living and working space was contained within one small room.

The workshop was taking up a rather big chunk of space dedicated just for it right next to a window, which was unusually big for a room this small. There was a small table underneath it, most of it's surface covered in gems of all colors and shards thereof. some gems were also hanging from the ceiling, most of them on strings, but one or two had somewhat more refined ways of attaching to the ceiling. There was even one yellow gem on a piece of silver chain hanging off the corner of the table.

Outside of the working area, there was a small bed, which was about as soft as a block of dry wood, and a bookshelf stuffed with books, most of them dealing with illusions and other types of magic, but there were also some scientyfic books in there. While the unicorn felt science was a rather underapreciated research subject (at least in comparsion to magic), especially among unicorns, there were alwasy some ponies who would try to figure out how does the world work if you take the magic out of the equation.

These books were mostly about the nature of the light. Light always fascinated this particular unicorn. It was almost magical in itself, making the plants grow, giving warmth to all the lands, letting creatures percieve the world...and most ponies don't even notice it until it's gone.

The unicorn closed his eyes, focusing on a small gem sitting on the table in front of him. His horn sparked for a moment, the gem glowing briefly with yellow magical aura.

He examined the gem and scribbed a few lines in a small notebook, putting the gem away onto the clean part of the table with telekinesis. Looking around the room, he sighed. After a short while, he sighed again and cleaned the room a little bit before putting on a pair of saddlebags standing next to the door and leaving, locking the door behind him.

He did that more out of the routine than to actually stop anyone from getting inside. Both the door and the lock were so cheap, that if any pony even marginally stronger than him bucked it, it would propably fall apart completely. So would the big window. Even the walls weren't too much of an obstacle for anything.

But the unicorn didn't really worry about ponies or other creatures breaking in...mostly because he barely had anything that was worth stealing, maybe besides the books. The gems, even after being enchanted, weren't all that valuable, and the only other thing he had was the furniture, which was pretty much firewood already.

Leaving his workshop behind, the unicorn slowly walked out onto the street and started to wander around, his mind wandering off in another direction entirely.

He was thinking about why did he stay here. He was thinking about it from time to time and forgetting it, but recently, his mind was returning to this question more and more often for some reason.

He remembered that it was about Twilight Sparkle, who, at least for some time, was Ponyville's librarian. The white unicorn was a somewhat frequent visitor of the library, at least when compared to most other residents of Ponyville, which meant that he met the lavender mare and her baby dragon asistant on more than one ocasion. She was somewhat kind to him, and even though he felt like she wouldn't notice if he disappeared, he started to consider her as kind of a friend.

And then she was banished.

The white unicorn couldn't believe it. He knew she couldn't have done anything THIS bad...she wouldn't have.

But all the other ponies turned their backs on her. Her closest friends, her family...this hurt the white unicorn; seeing how all her closest friends started to sudenly treat her as a criminal, starting to hate her...he knew there couldn't have been anything she would have done that would justify hurting her so much.

So, after a few weeks passed, he ran away. He left everyone he knew, everything he had, hoping that he can somehow make the pain smaller for her.

He kept looking until he found the castle in a forrest, which has trees in it, tall trees with leaves and bark, and eat light and water, and are made out of wood, and they have birds in them, which fly around on their feathery wings just like the ones of Princess Magicka the alicorn princess, ruler of the Arcadia, his new home.

This was propably what got the unicorn to keep thinking about the subject. Every time he tried to think about anything between him leaving to find Twilight and him already living in the city, his mind was starting to just...slip over it. He KNEW there was a reason why he'd stay in the city, but he couldn't even attempt to explain it, even if his life would depend on it. He felt like he knew where Twilight is, but no matter what he did, his mind refused to produce anything regarding said subject that wasn't a mental equivalent of incoherent babble. He felt like there is some obvious conneciton, something so incredibly, stupily simple, that even a foal would put such a puzzle together...yet the answer was about as easy to grasp as a fluffy feather in a tornado.

Completely lost in his thoughts, the unicorn kept wandering while trying to grasp what his mind was trying to tell him...to no success.

...
...I made a wall of text.
...
...oops.

The train slowed to a stop at the Arcadia City trainstation. The doors opened and the passengers started piling out. Most simply trotted on, going about their business, but some were wearing a big smile on their face and continued to glance back at the train, not really in a rush to leave the platform. Some ponies noticed this and looked at the open doors, wondering what they were looking for.

Then he appeared. And many jaws dropped.

Even in the unlikely event that there was another pony in Arcadia with the same build and looks as him, there was no mistaking the hat. A dusty hat with a still perfect darkpink rose in it. Everypony knew that hat. And everypony knew that it belonged to Hurley.

Hurley had to lower his head as he walked through the open doors. He saw the stunned looks on the ponies faces and gave them a gentle smile as he gave his hat a small nudge with his hoof.

"Hi there." he said casually. There were mumbled responses until a young blue colt could be heard yelling.

"Daddy daddy, it's Hurley!"

This completely changed the situation. Insted of ponies being shy and hesitant, they almost ran up to Hurley to shake his hoof and ask for autographs. "Welcome to Arcadia City!" could be heard from different directions.

Hurley was a little surprised by this reception, but he merrily started signing autographs for the ponies that wanted them. Eventually the young colt that had been heard earlier came up to Hurley. His eyes were big as he looked up at the giant pony in front of him. Hurley smiled gently at the colt.

"Hi there kiddo. What's yer name?" The colt stumbled on his words a little. "Um, it's Strange Si- NO, I mean Strong Side." "That's a nice name," Hurley replied. "Ya wanna be a hoofball player when ya grow up?" Strong Side grinned widely. "Yeah! I wanna play for the Arcadia City Capitals!" The colt made a pause, thinking about something. Then he broke out into another big smile. "Is that why you're here Hurley? Are you going to start playing for the Capitals?"

The platform almost fell dead silent as everypony held their breath. Could it be that Hurley had decided to start playing for Arcadia City instead of retiring? But Hurley shook his head at the colt. "Sorry, lil' buddy." A collective 'aaaawwww' was heard.

Hurley left a few minutes later after everypony that had wanted an autograph had gotten one. He looked at a note that he had written down an adress on and started walking towards the center of Arcadia City.

Windy skies had wrapped themselves around the busy town of Fillydelphia, where plenty of ponies went about with their day between the tall buildings that littered the skyline. But where some chose to hold to the street, others did not: a brown pony soared in through the air, sending ripples through the water just inches below his hooves while the wind ruffled its way through his hair and the streets rocketed by him just to the side. Tree after tree wooshed right by like blotches of green and brown, in between clusters of blurry ponies on the sidewalk while the young pegasus swayed from side to side down the lake, before finally he dug his hooves down through the water surface and took to the skies with a splash.

Something about today just felt right, and made the pegasus feel just great. Then again, he usually did feel great! After all, he was Coral Chase; spreading both words and goods as fast as the wind wherever it had to go, and right now he was flying in to do just that.

The pegasus continued his ascent until he could see rooftops beneath him, then slalomed his way between the remaining towering buildings with his course set straight for a red building just blocks away. It was split in two parts, the building, with one half going four stories up to a flat landing zone and the other six stories up to a sloped roof turned in toward the landing area. On the side of the building there was a big sign that read "Fillydelphia Flight Express - First class airborne delivery", though a lot of people just referred to it as either the Fillydelphia Express or just FilEx. One of the best ways to get a package from one place to another, and Coral Chase was right there in the middle of it!

His hooves kicked down against the painted surface of the landing zone and the pegasus trotted his way down along a marked out strip of arrows with his wings gently flapping, past a few groups of other pegasi, mares and colts alike, engaged in casual conversation with one another, and up toward the doors leading into the building. The Fillydelphia Express was a pretty social business like that, even though it could be pretty split between the desk-workers handling the actual business part and the sizeable roster of pegasi handling the deliveries. But it was still nice with it, especially with the various faculties provided to keep all those fliers in tip-top shape so that the company could live up to the name.

"Clash! Hey, Clash!" Chimed an accented voice just off to the side. Coral turned his head to catch sight of a cream-coated and blue-maned unicorn with a red tie fitted around his neck and a gold-glowing document floating in the air next to him; the unicorn in question was Checkers, division manager, logistics expert and a one-stop place for delivery assignments. "Hey Checks! What's-" Coral called back, unable to finish his sentence before hurriedly chimed in again. "Good, good! All good, yeah. Listen, you just came in, right? Haven't gotten any assignments for the day, right?"

The pegasus hesitated for a moment, already knowing where this conversation was headed, but still took to raise a brow while he let out a curious "Yeeeah...?" Again there was barely much pause before the unicorn shot right back at him, "Ohh good! Great... listen. How about this package? Think you could deliver that? I need someone who can go fast, and you're one of the fastest fliers in this department!"

Coral let a little smirk run across his face. Fastest in the department? More like fastest in the company! "Well, okay then. What is it?" He asked, which was replied with the unicorn presenting his document. The piece of paper listed numerous details concerning a delivery job, which Coral quickly skimmed through line after line before coming to a sudden halt at the delivery location. "Waait, wait. Wait! Hold up." He raised his head up from the paper, his face plastered with a confused look. "... This is an Arcadia delivery. Checks! you know I don't do Arcadia deliveries!"

"Yeah- yeah, I know. I know you do." The unicorn hurriedly responded, trying to overlook Coral's sudden frustration. "But you gotta do this one! Just quick in, quick out, no biggie! What have you got against the place, anyway? It's not like the city is gonna eat you up and spit you back out again, you know!"

"But it's... gah, come on! Arcadia? Don't you have anything else?" Coral tried to retort. "Manehattan? Seaddle? Cloudsdale? Flankorage?!" A moment of silence followed, with the two ponies just staring at one another. Neither said anything, not a word, they just stared.

"Arcadia." Checkers said one last time. Coral threw his head down to the side and flapped his wings, let out a lengthy snort through a disgruntled face, then mumbled back. "Fine."

A few moments later, the pegasus was back outside at the landing zone with a a closed satchel hung down on his right side. He set off into a quick sprint down the marked stripes leading away from the building, spread his wings and set off to the skies for Arcadia.

(Yeah, an entire block of background fluff. Bite me. :b Anyone want to be the lucky recipient of the package, by the way? I could just turn it to an NPC and just leave it a plot excuse for me to be in the city, or it could tie in further if it's a delivery for one of the other characters!)

Hurley took his time as he walked down the streets of Arcadia City. He had been here before a couple of times when he played against the Capitals, but he had never seen all that much of the city. Also, there was no need to hurry. He wasn't supposed to meet the ponies from the Arcadian Hoofball League until tomorrow, but he still wanted to make sure that he had the right adress.

Hurley looked around him as he walked down the street. He was kinda impressed with all the different races that lived here. Sure, there were diamond dogs, donkeys and all kind of other races in Bastion, but they weren't that common. Here he could see at least 10 gryphons and 5 zebras at any given time just by looking around. Hay, he could even see a couple of hippogriffs.

Hurley also noticed the glances he received from the Arcadians. Many of them whispered among themselves and nodding, most likely confirming with their friends that it was actually Hurley walking down the street. Hurley didn't ignore them, but he was still kinda shy after all these years and didn't go out of his way to talk to somepony. Instead he gave quick 'hellos' to the one that seemed to recoqnize him.

"Boy" he thought to himself, "after all these years I'm still havin' trouble with all the attention. Then again, it went kinda well at the trainstation." Hurley thought about this and didn't really notice his surroundings. That was until there was something huge in front of him and he almost walked into it. He made a quick stop and a small jump back. He raised his head to get a look at what it was. "Oh, I'm here." In front of him was the AHL headquarters. He looked at the big white building for a while.

Then he got bored. "Well, what now?" He looked around him. "I 'spose I could look for a hotel or somethin'..."

] Umm... where is all the other people that are supposed to be in Ponyville? I would LOVE to post another action, but I have nothing to build on and nothing to react to. I rather not just go around the town trying to sell lettuce to NPCs all day. Can someone PM the other people to make sure they know the thread has started?[

--Meanwhile, outside of Ponyville--

"Miss? Miss?"

"Guhh? huh?" Eos Dawn drowsily rolled over in her seat, opening her eyes to the sight of a red unicorn, a sight that was unfamiliar at first due to her hazy memory.

"Miss, we'll be arriving in Ponyville soon," the calm voice replied, "You were asleep and the little slip above your seat says 'Ponyville' on it. Didn't want you to miss your stop."

Blinking a few times in order to clear her vision, the mare finally realized it was the conductor standing before her. She was on a train bound for Ponyville.

"Oh, uhm..." Eos nodded to the fellow unicorn, "Thank you."

Giving the bluish mare a smile and a nod right back, the conductor then continued on, checking other passengers within the carriage. Eos, meanwhile, shook her head a little bit, trying to wake up fully. The long train ride from Whinneapolis seemed like a decent place for her to just contemplate her future, hoping the job offer she received from a trading company wouldn't be a dead end. Instead, she passed out the moment she plopped down into her seat, snoozing the whole way away. Now it wasn't long before the unicorn mare was in the town that would either redefine her future or just be another bump in the road.

Reaching over to one of her saddle-bags, Eos undid the latch and levitated a sheet of paper in front of her, looking over it for the hundredth time...

------------
Dear Eos,

I managed to convince Noteworthy to let you stay in that extra room in his house I mentioned the last time we talked. He said you can stay as long as you need and he won't charge you rent or anything unless you get that job you were offered. He also promised not to hit on you. Just thought I'd mention that, not that I think he would anyway, he just likes to joke around like that. Note's a good guy, you'll get along with him well, I'm sure of it.

Anywho, his address is 3582 Sparkler Lane. It's a pretty easy house to recognize, it's the large cream-colored one. Hope you can find it without problem, and I wish you luck with that job offer. I hear helping out with the trade between Arcadia and Equestria really rakes in the cash and can be a very interesting job indeed, so maybe you've finally found your calling.

If not, well, my offer still stands. I could always use an extra companion in my travels.

Best of luck to you,
Penn Wright
------------

Eos glanced over the address a few times, making sure to memorize it. She wasn't sure where it was in town, but she figured directions would be easy enough to obtain. There was surely going to be a map of Ponyville at the train station, or someone who could help guide her. It would be easy.

At least, she hoped it would be easy.

And with a soft sigh, the unicorn slumped over in her chair, staring out the window, watching the countryside pass by as the train came ever-closer to its destination...

Town square had all sorts of new faces today, with several new businesses having been set up, several new buildings under construction, and many ponies taking their businesses to stands in places where there isn't rooms for new shops. Many non-pony folk as well. It was very disorienting for poor Lettucehead, who old routes were quickly messed up and forced to meet so many new business owners. Many of them just were confused as he just walked in and tried to sell his product.

"Don't nopony know how things are done around here?" angrily thought Lettucehead as he left another dining establishment that had thrown him out for 'disturbing the customers.' "I won'er if them Apples have to deal with this?"

Still, he was able to sell his stuff at the bushall and got quite a few bits for it. He noted he would have to rethink his routes for next time, not even thinking that "next time" would most likely come with even more new businesses that he would have to keep track of.

Lettucehead pulled his much emptier chart up to the Ponyville train station, ready to sell some more Lettuce to the station manager. He never did like trains, always making a racket as they passed by his farm, making pony's sit around when they had four perfectly functioning legs they can use, and who needs to leave their hometown anyway. However, customers are customers, and with the trains having so much traffic (and keeping him up a night) Lettucehead helps feed the many passengers coming in and out of Ponyville.

When walking into the office, he only briefly turned his head and noticed a smoke cloud indicating a train was on the horizon and would be in the station soon.

Loose Leaf peered up at the gryphon standing over her, blinking nervously. "Oh, sorry, I was just going out to lunch." She said cheerfully. "I guess I didn't see where I was going!"

She felt weird telling a complete stranger about her day, but before she could come up with an excuse to leave, her ears pricked up at the sound of numerous voices coming from down the street.

"What's that?"

Aireal turned to where Loose Leaf was looking, suddenly quite focused. "I dunno. Let's check it out!" she said as she took off in the direction of the noises, a blur of black feathers.

"Woa, woa woa... TEN bits on ONE Goddamn cherry?", frowned Uron. "That's WAY too overpriced!"

The pony behind the counter snorted. "If you want it that much... Ten and not a bit less." Uron's eyes squinted. "There are literally dozens of other places where I can buy that for two bits. And I just saw you sell it by THREE." The pony squinted his eyes as well. "My stand. My rules. ELEVEN BITS. Or scram."

Uron threw his bits at the table. Four. The pony chuckled. "Are you deaf, Stripey? I said-"

"What you SAID was a violation of the Equestrian Law, which states clearly that extortion is PROHIBITED in all of Equestria. Who you just SAID that to was a grade-A Canterlot lawyer who would love to bring you down to court, which means that two things happen. You either lose your business because I will win or you lose your business because I'm pretty damn sure no one will watch over it. And what's more, from your rags, I doubt you can afford a good lawayer to make sure that you actually get some DECENCY out of the process, so how about you take the goddamn bits, whose value I'm already STRETCHING to get your shit together, and give me the goddamn cherry? Or try your goddamn luck. It's your choice."

...the pony shoved the cherry to the zebra and pulled the four bits to himself with a blank face. Uron smiled.

"Have a nice day, sir.", the law graduate chuckled as he gobbled the cherry. It was a sweet, sweet cherry. Much more sweeter than those on Canterlot, for sure. Maybe that's Ponyville's charm. Everything is much more sweeter and simpler. Uron envied a bit its residents, even if the small-town charm was a bit less obvious thanks to the recent transformation of Ponyville into a trade center.

His monologue was, however, interrupted by the loud sound of an explosion and the commotion that it had caused. Uron looked over to the panicking crowd.

"You're not seriously thinkin' of checking it out, are you, you crazy zebra?", the cherry stand pony grinned. Uron grinned back as he lifted himself off his rump and got ready to gallop towards the commotion.

"Uron. Uron Jalim. And you're damn right I am."

So... first post. Good? Bad? Someone want to talk to my character as he gallops there? :x
