My Little Pony Season 4 Premier SPOILER WARNING

I was really let down by the premier. I didn't find it funny and I'm always upset when I MLP premier or finale has no songs. I hope things pick up (maybe we'll get the Rarity/Octavia duet they talking about doing last season) but as it stands now, I'm a little worried this is going to be season 3 all over again (in terms of quality, I know this season is going to be longer). As an episode, both parts were great. As a premier, it left me seriously wanting

Absolutely loved it. Every damn second.

There's adorkable Princess Twi (who can barely fly), Discord, Luna raising the moon, Celestia discussing the emotional scars banishing Luna had on her...not to mention the awesome flashbacks to Discord's first defeat and Luna's tranformation to NMM! I have been waiting ages for a canonical version of that and now I have it. Much joy!

Anyhow, I just noticed- why does Princess Celestia already have the colored mane? Didn't the book show that back then, Celestia had a pink mane when she banished her sister? Just saying.

That's what I thought. It bugged me slightly, as that's the kind of detail you would've thought they'd pay attention to. Oh well, I'll just ignore it, pretend it was pink, and go back to my headcanon of magical stresses brought on by use of the EOH to banish Luna changing her mane colour. :3

Lastly:

I sense many, many incoming Twilestia shipfics to fimfiction. And I'm ok with this. D'aw.

Thought it was great. Just as good as season 3 and they seem to be running with what they established in MMC. We'll see where they go with it.

Far as I can tell they addressed the issues everyone had with the *ahem* "horrible* season 3.

1) Are they going to do anything with Princess Twi? Yep
2) Was Discord insta-reformed and thus not interesting? Nope, in fact they are taking him in the Q direction, which should surprise nobody.
3) Elements of Harmony insta-win plot device was getting boring. They give them up.

All this happened in the FIRST TWO EPISODES! Pretty impressive if you ask me.

I lost almost all my hopes for this seasons after the infamous 3rd season's last episode and that awful movie (Ecuestria girls).
