Well yesterday was the last day of the London Eurogamer expo and the games i played there went from good to amazing, the ones i would class as 'good' are;
Uncharted 2 ( WAY to linear for me)
Ratchet & clank (don't know which one though for casual gamers at best and trophy/ G farmers))
Avatar the game (good although breathtaking in Nvidia 3D gaming, i would play as the marines the campaign is alot better, also DONT buy for the Wii because all you do it wave the remote around while smashing buttons and it really is poor)
Tekken 6 (like all the other Tekkens to the point just plain beat em up fun with a co-op campaign added to it
The Beatles Rock band (you have to like the Beatles... well obviously)
Lost planet 2 ( only because i didn't much like the first one)
Halo 3 ODST (Halo fans please don't hate me)
Heavy rain (not much to say apart from entertaining)
& forza motor-sport (the game would be in the amazing section if you are willing to fork out for the pedals, chair and 3-3 screens, just for the experience)
The games i would put above good to amazing are;
MAG ( the play on MAG was incredibly good the game-play is hard to describe but it feels so 'right' if yo now what i mean? its everything you want it to be just b looking at the cover)
Battlefield bad company 2 (which takes a more original view on FPS gaming and really promotes the use of vehicles and all building are demolish-able one guy tried to hide from my rocket shooting Apache in a house... that didn't go well for him! )
Beyonetta ( this game play alot like all other fighting games in it's genre but it's the moves and visuals that make it special)
Left 4 dead 2 (i had someone on the inside for this one he says it is not much different from the original just a hell of alot cooler and funnier)
Army of two the 40th day ( all it is was one up from the original, you had to like the original to like this)
Alien vs Predator ( my mate said it plays well but the aliens have no special sight apart from normal vision we don't know wether that is just for the demo or it's permanent)
Assassins creed 2 (this was the most taken up booth, wasn't very surprising but it is a godly game, you might have to like the original to like the game)
Batman AA Nvidia 3D (im sorry but 3D gaming is the way forward!)
Mass effect 2
Bioshock 2
Global Agenda (sign up for beta @ global-agenda.com or google, this is a web based game for computers this game is very addictive)
& God of war 3
(these are my own opinions and should not effect what you decide to buy, this is also not all the games that were on show some where played by my 18 year old mate and the rest were what i could be bothered to queue for)
So overall the day was great, they had a PsP go cafe in which every seat in the cafe contained a PsP for you to play as you were eating, they also had a press corner where you could talk to the game designers and rep's for companies looking to recruit concept artists and programers, i also met the voice of Mario which was incredibly funny hearing him spew quotes every time someone asked him a question, although the indie game section of the expo was clever it did leave alot to be desired on the playability front. so that was my day at the London Eurogamer 2009 expo.
Thanks for reading.
