My newspaper attacked Gaming.

So, today I was reading the editorial of the Ottawa Sun, and they decided to out of nowhere attack gaming. It started out as a column on how parents should give kids tough love to shapen them up, but then went downhill as soon as it his electronics.

Such informed wisdom includes "Violent games allow kids to become fat and have a cocaine like experience from adrenaline rushes" or "people who spend five hours or more on the internet are suicidal".

And of course, they fail to mention, or are unaware of, the fact that the average gamer is in fact an adult. So they use fat kids as scapegoats to ***** about video games while adults themselves are more to blame. Fucking hypocrites.

Anyways, what do you think? I know its more of the same shit we always have to put up with, but it pissed me off.

Newspapers are always going to be fearmongering and presumptuous, and if most people who read newspapers are adults (we youth like to get our news from the TV or the internet), they obviously can't say "parents are to blame" because that sounds like "adults are to blame" which sounds like "we are responsible."
