My Path of Exile characters are lonely - PoE players, where you at?

I'm currently enjoying playing through Path of Exile and levelling my characters, but it's been a pretty lonely experience so far, since I don't know anyone else who plays it. Sure, I can join public parties, but...it's just simply not the same.

So, whack your names down and I'll add you so I can steal all of your loot we can have super fun times. This thread can serve as a general PoE player-adding thread for others as well.

Just a question since it's still in open Beta and all, how's the lag and everything? I try to only play online games when I expect my internet to not be slow, but there's often server-side lag that I can't do anything about, which while it's not as much of a killer in ARPGs, it's still rather annoying.

Well, there is a bit of desync still, apparently it used to be much worse, but they've improved it a lot since it's been in open beta. It usually open happens when there's tons going on at the same time in a very short space of time.

Personally I'm waiting until the 5th when the .11 patch finally comes out to play. I like the game and have supported GGG with more than my fair share of purchases but with the new leagues starting, some major rebalancing, new netcode to help with desync and more just days away I don't see the point in grinding maps on my Mara atm.

Bored with it. I played it almost nonstop for about a month when it was first released. I have a nice collection of uniques and gems, and am almost broke. I just burnt myself out of it. I'll probably play it sometime at a later date. I actually spent most of my time making builds for myself and testing how mechanics stack, something rather tedious and expensive to do thanks to how respeccing works, but thankfully it's pretty easy to get high value orbs.

You could always start a user group for PoE, and an Escapist clan.

I quit when I died in Hardcore mode to lag for the second time. I really, really enjoyed PoE but I'm not going back. I'm sick of having to deal with latency in an ARPG. Especially when I'm a huge fan of Hardcore mode in them. Seriously, I just want to feel the tension of having only one life but not the stress of checking my ping before every single encounter and eventually dying to a random, unexplained lag spike. It's just not fair. Call me when there's an offline mode.

I've never heard of it, judging from their website it doesn't look too bad. I hate playing alone too though so I don't kow if I should even get it xD

I played the game to level 69 with a marauder, until I got bored of the grind and quit. I managed to draw this along for around one month.

That was my whole PoE experience. It was really bland, especially if you play solo. Once the leveling takes forever and you have to go into maps and keep farming them over and over to barely get any XP, then it really lost it's appeal to me.

To be honest the combat was just spamming that spinning divebomb attack that penetrates through everything and has a low cooldown to win everything. Of course that was still very early beta. Has it changed? I might redownload it and fire up an Archer character.
