.... now THAT'S what I call a collection! o_O

Now the question to you is; what were the last 5 games that you played out of that collection?

-

I'm actually surpirzed that burnout took so long to come up. I rented it once and loved it.
So which one is the best burnout? 3?

I already picked up Kingdom Hearts 2 and I'm already really impressed with the game so far which was really unexpected for me.

Cheers!

I have a pretty hefty collection of PS2 games. And I'm sorry that I'm posting this after your final decision. But here goes:

Don't just get Ratchet and Clank 3, collect them all. The only Ratchet and Clank I didn't really enjoy to the fullest was Deadlocked. But there's 1-3, Deadlocked, and Size Matters. They're all very cheap now.

If you like jrpgs at all, try to pick up Wild Arms 3, Wild Arms Alter Code F (if you can find it), Grandia 2, Grandia 3, Shining Force EXA, Rogue Galaxy, Dragon Quest 8, and Star Ocean 3.

Then there's Dark Cloud 2. I love this game.

A little known, cheap game with a mechanic similar to R&C is Scaler, about a guy who turns into a lizard.

A cult classic is Way of the Samurai. There are two versions for the PS2, and the first is the best.

Okami is another cult classic that must be owned.

Devil May Cry 3 is very hard and very hardcore.

And I have more, and have played more, but I can't remember them for the life of me at the moment, so I'll stay with this list for you.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance - A hack and slash set in the Forgotten Realms. It is NOT an RPG, and it is NOT based on the D&D rule sets. Some hated it, I was one of the ones who loved it. And excellent hack and slash that lets you choose from either the Elven Sorceress, Dwarven Fighter or Human Arcane Archer (which is impossible in D&D, I know).

Champions of Norrath - Dark Alliance 2 sucked. CoN was the spiritual successor to Dark Alliance and it rocks. Set is Everquest's world. Very similar gameplay, larger range of character, great game. Also has a lacklustre sequel.

Drakan: The Ancient Gates - A great adventure game. You have two playable dragons, the human Ryn and the Dragon Arokh. You control Ryn directly but can call Arokh whenever you are not indoors and use him to fly around, destroy normal enemies or fight hostile dragons on even footing. It has a great exploratory nature, I think, and I really enjoyed it. One of my all time favourites.

Final Fantasy X - If you like JRPGs, I recommend FFX. I thought it was the best in the series, personally. I know there was a big rant about it here on the forums the other day. I disagree with that guy. This game is great.

Primal - Primal is a puzzle solving/adventure sort of game. Not a hundred percent sure how to describe it. You play as a girl, Jen, who is attacked by a demon with ehr boyfriend Louis as they leave a club one night. Jen slips into a coma and her spirit is taken from her body into the realms of demons by another demon, Scree, who you can also control. Jen can fight, navigate narrow ledges, and eventually transform into four different demon forms which let her do other stuff like jump really high, swim (like a dolphin) and control time. Scree can lift heavy objects, climb on some types of stone (it isn't a sandbox game, so all of them is out) and possess statues to manipulate then. You control the two of them though four different demon realms, using the other to get ahead and do shit at times the other can't progress. Seriously, this game is fucking great. I have never played anything else like it. If you get any game from my list, let it be this one.

Resident Evil 4 - The best game in the RE series. The protagonist is awesome, the game is actually difficult (Fucking RE5!), it has good atmosphere, it is nice and long, the upgrading system is fun (if frustrating sometimes) and this is all things told one of the best games of all time. Primal might be my favourite, but this is closer to technically perfect in all regards.

Soul Calibur 2 - I have both 2 and 3, and I consider SC2 to be vastly superior to SC3, even without the customisation system.

The Metal Gear Solid series is a must-play in my opinion. The first is a title for the original Playstation, though the two next sequels are on the PS2. Brilliant games. The third in particular.

I would also recommend the first three Resident Evil games, despite them being PS1 games. They are also brilliant.

It has been a while since I've gamed outside of hand helds and PC...

Off the top of my head...and if I had to take a guess it would be:
SotC - Did a speed run

Klonoa 2 - My love for this game, no matter how many times I beat it, does not go away.

RAD: Robot Alchemic Drive - Still haven't beaten it, bloody odd controls.

TimeSplitter 3: Future Perfect - Did some multiplayer with a friend.

Warship Gunner 2 - Love some of the boss missions, tried them out again

Wow dude did you make sure you got every game. Also the games you have in the OP were respectable. Saddly I sold most of my old titles when I went from 2 to 3.
Basically, I collect PS2 game.
I only buy them if I can get them Non-Greatest Hits and with the manual and cover inlay.
Exceptions to this are Silent Hill 2 (the Greatest Hits version has the extra stuff the Xbox version had) and Warship Gunner 2 - took me forever to find the game, so I caved (later found a version with all the extra stuff and bought it again).

Yes I am, I'm missing several games.
Like all the sports games, I want to get them all, at some point.
Plus I have a list, somewhere, of games that I want (some are J-Only and E-Only).

Well............ this sucks

Figures, I get my ps2 collection going... AND NOW ITS FREAKING BREAKING!
The video is going darker and darker till suddenly it resets.
I don't think it has a lot of time left... *cries*

I do not have a ps3 yet. So if my ps2 goes, what version of ps3 should I get so that I can play all these? I've heard there's issues with backwards compatibility.

BTW I have gotten
Burnout Revenge: Fun!
Rouge Galaxy: Awesome!
God Hand: WTF? Its weird, awesome, and hard all at once.

Persona 3 (FES) and Persona 4 are MUSTS. Favorite RPG series ever.

Okami is a gorgeous game. I also recommend Resident Evil 4 and FFX.

If you liked Katamari there are sequels out though I've never played them myself, but you could check that out too. :3

Seriously hop on XIII. One of the finest hidden gems from the last console generation. You'd be an absolute fool to pass it up.

Medal of Honor: Frontline is probably as good as the series ever got outside of Allied Assault on the PC. Frontline is the sister game to Allied Assault, but yeah, very compelling, very atmospheric.
The epitomy of World War 2 games in my opinion. Somewhat dated mechanics, but pshh, who cares? It's still an excellent game.
