a lot of people have been getting very angry with the games industry lately. with the Xbox One (terrible name by the way) being sold as a TV box instead of a gaming console, shoddy, anti-consumer practices, blame being thrown where it doesn't belong. it's enough to make anyone go insane with how infuriating it is.

yet, to me, infuriating practices were never my problem, the Mass Effect 3 ending made me incredibly angry yet i'll defend those games till the day i die. no, the real problem this industry faces is their customer's loosing interest. if you have a fanbase willing to yell, kick and scream when you do something wrong, you know your fans are devoted. but when your fans start to look at your new hardware and simply not care, that is when things start be very, very bad for you.

i spent over one thousand dollars on a gaming PC, hundreds of dollars rebuying my favorite games for it, and even after all of that i am more satisfied with my purchases than i have EVER been when i played console games

so now, more than ever, i simply could not care less what Microsoft or Sony do, they could die tommorrow and have to auction off their IPs and all i would do is applaud, they took me for granted way to long.

the big names of the games industry better fucking listen to the outcry this time, because if they don't then pretty soon the outcry is going to stop, and i believe that is one of the worst thing that could happen to them

PC is part of the gaming industry and has all those problems as well, so I have no idea what you are talking about. PCs have had DRM and anti-consumer practices the longest, and the outcry has stopped. Look at how accepted Steam is, I'll let you decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Not to mention that platform doesn't change the content of the games, a good game with a terrible ending will still be a good game with a terrible ending. Also Microsoft owns most of PC market so if they died out that would be bad as well.

I'm still in the vote with your wallet group. Don't like what they are doing? Don't buy it. If you do enjoy it there is nothing wrong with supporting it regardless of what others think, don't let them spoil your fun. There are too many gamers crying over little things to even make the industry care, especially when people whine and still buy it.
