My PS3 Does Not Reciprocate My Love

OT: I felt pretty betrayed by my Xbox360 when it RRoDed. So I got a PS3 instead. Best choice ever.

Best choice ever? Couldn't agree more.

I'd always wanted a PS3 but it was back when there were barely worthwhile games and it was too expensive so I opted for the 360. After finding barely any really gripping games and it Red Ringing on me twice I just didn't even bother and eventually the time was right to get one.

I've dubbed it "The thing I should've just bought in the first place". It's just appealed to me so much more and has a wider variety of things going on I guess. Besides shooters I didn't see much else to hold my attention on the Xbox.

But cries when i tell her that I don't have any money to spend while it yells that I don't love it anymore and should just stay with my skany and a whore of a PC.

*Sigh* Maybe i should look for some used games? That should make my PS3 happy shouldn't it?

My PS3 just kind of sits there, downloading patches, and game updates, playing blu rays.

Basically, my PS3 is my prison *****, and I like it that way.

What is this metaphor, you speak of? I regularly try to have a romantic evening with my PS3, I tell her we'll play a game and then watch a Bluray together. Something always comes up last minute and I feel shunned or unlove-ed.

Hah. My PC is the best thing ever, and it doesn't mind me occasionally going off to play with the PS3 or the Wii, because it knows that my love for it is stronger than anything.
My Wii is more to me like an old friend, and the PS3 a relatively new and good friend.
The PC is just everything. It's a hobby and a platform and so many other things all in one.
