Greetings, fellow escapists.

I recently received a PSP. Recently, I found I had no space on my memory stick to download a game, so I replaced it with a new one.
According to the PSP, no stick was inserted. I tried using other sticks, but each time, the PSP said there wasn't one inserted. I tried inserting the original one, but still it said there was no stick inserted.

I definitely put the sticks in the right way, so I have no idea why they weren't recognised. This is a big problem, as I am unable to save my games.

If anyone knows why this is happening, or how to fix it, please let me know. I'd appreciate it.

There are two kinds of Bricking that can happen to your PSP- the full brick, which can be worked around, and what sounds like with you is the mem stick drive not working.

Was the PSP new? You should definatly try contacting customer support/the store it was purchased from about replacing it, because it seems your memory card reader is borked. If this is NOT the case then you can-

First format your memory stick using a PC card reader, then insert it in ur PSP. If the light still keeps blinking then turn off your PSP, leave the card inside and take out your battery. Keep the battery out for 5-10 minutes. Then insert it back in your PSP and turn it on. If the light still keeps blinking then hold your power button and completely turn off your PSP and charge the battery. Make sure you hav charged the battery to 100% (it takes about 3hrs) and then disconnect your charger and turn on the PSP. Now the memory card will probably be read by your PSP.

This is of course assuming the memory card reader is not broken. If it is theres not much you can do about it.

PS: Google is your friend

I had that problem. Update the firmware and make sure you format the memory stick.
