Q: "Why do you like My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic?"
Sorry, but I'm not a fan of My Little Pony. Yes, I'm aware of its existence, the Bronies, and all the clever jokes and memes that stem from it, but I just don't watch it.
Q: "What's your opinion on the recent attempts at internet censorship legislation?"
It's all bullcrap and I'm glad that we showed these greedy a**holes that you can't censor the internet, for it's censorship will mean the end of the modern world as we know it.
Q: "What's your religious affiliation and why?"
I'm Christian-Catholic and I was born into it. Done and done.
Q: "Why don't you hate "Cars"?"
I liked Cars and mostly all the Pixar films. It has racing cars (which I adored when I was little), a whole world filled with living cars, and the development of McQueen's character is predictable, but still delivers a favorable moral at the end of the film.
Q: "What's your opinion of anime?"
I love it and more specifically, the action, the original animation styles of some animes, and some thought provoking narratives and characters. It's definitely not for everyone, but it is here to stay.
Q: "What bothers you most about video games today?"
I find it a little daunting how many game developers want to push the envelope on various confusing, offensive, and controversial issues by including them in their well known and praised franchises. I'm not saying that it's wrong, as I can somewhat understand their reasoning behind it, but others outside of the video games spectrum will not, causing idiots to do idiotic things (like Google "bullying" TVTropes to delete all their existing archives on explaining rape tropes in the media by taking away their ad servers.
Hey Google, if you have a problem with rape, restrict the access of rape from your search browser instead of punishing some other site for bringing up/explaining tropes in a civilized manner).
Q: "If YOU were in charge of the live-action Transformers movies, what would you do different?"
NO HUMANS! NO HUMANS! NO HUMANS!
Seriously, it's like, "Sorry general audience that doesn't believe that towering, transforming robots that are fighting for dominance, causing massive destruction and explosions, isn't awesome or appealing to you. At the very least we have Megan Fox/Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as eye candy and Shia LeBeouf getting owned by both humans and alien robots."
What sources would I use as a reference?
G1 Transformers?
War for Cybertron Transformers?
Fall of Cybertron Transformers?
Yes to all of the above!
Q: "Aside from Transformers, is there anything else about the movie industry that bothers you?"
I hate how everything that has a niche interest needs to have a broader appeal in order to even get considered for production. What about The Avenger and their affiliate films that came before this film? What about Kick Ass? These films were awesome on their own without having to lose anything that made them so epic.
Q: "What's you opinion on the current divide in American politics?"
Republicans can go to hell. Seriously, I'd love to get into details, but that is literally the only way we can get out of the mess that they have put the nation through. That is, to literally go to hell.
Q: "Why do you hate modern Disney movies?"
You need to address specific distinctions of Disney movies because it's a big company.
Here are just two.
Modern Disney animations:
I can think of only two films that are still cartoon in nature: The Princes and the Frog and parts of Enchanted. I wasn't a particular fan of either of the films, but I feel that at least The Princess and the Frog was entertaining and that Enchanted tried to do something different to animation and live-action by doing a different take on both at that same time in the same film.
Modern Live-action films:
Definitely in the hit-or-miss category. There are some I enjoyed and some if loathe, but I'm optimistic that they might get this category right someday. By this I mean that they will consistently produce films that may not be appealing to all, but is undeniably good and/or successful.
