Punctuation is your friend.
It will help you tell others what you really mean.
If you use it right, it will never betray you, and your life will be much better.

Ok, so here is the back story: our grade just read the outsiders, and we saw the movie. so today some one was thinking it would be a good idea to try and reenact the big fight at recess. Well let's just say it wasn't so good. What I'm basically asking is would you fight or just watch I watched and now the teachers are having a meeting about all this so what do you think was this stupid, funny, or what?
Please notice that I did not do anything to change what was said there, other than to correct a few spelling mistakes.
I'm leaving the rest of the cleanup to someone who is more willing.

Oh, and the whole grade is stupid.

EDIT:
DAAAMN YOOUUUU BRYGHTSIIIIIDE!
Compared to who?
...compared to any other group of people who are capable of reading or watching something and then not deciding to reenact something contained within.
Seriously, who decides to have a giant fight because they read about it?
bob no offense, but when you were in first through fifth grade and you and your friends didn't attempt to reenact a fight from a movie, you have lived a pitiful existence.
Yeah, cause everyone who hasn't done that has lived a pitiful existence ¬_¬ /sarcasm.
Thanks for generalising us all.

Here is the back story:

Our class just read The Outsiders and then we watched the movie adaptation of the novel. Today someone thought it would be a good idea to try and recreate the big fight scene during recess, let's just say it wasn't so great. What I'm asking is: would you fight or just watch? I watched and now the teachers are having a meeting about all this so what do you think? Was this stupid or funny?
There, now it's understandable.

OP: It's stupid whenever people fight, especially just to look cool or recreate something. I never did stupid crap like that when I was little and I don't do it now so it all seems trivial.

EDIT: I've read the book and it was pretty good, especially when the guy is tripping out on acid and is going on about spiders and colors. Keep in mind that I read this in fifth grade. o_0

Oh, what, the Rumble Scene? My teacher let us re-enact that. Naturally, we were only supposed to fake punches, but we were allowed to actually punch if the other person was okay with it... The Soc's (I was the Soc guy who punches Darry and starts the fight) won in ours though.

Maybe.
*sniff*
Maybe.
But we didn't have to deal with the repercussions of such a thing.

Yeah, my old primary, (thats elementary) school banned British Bulldog being played across the playground. The year after I left it apparently they banned normal footballs and had to play with crappy foam ones instead. Talk about being a Buzz Killington.

GAH.
Now I'm in an argument with myself?
[sup]Cross thread references rule[/sup]
Now for the rebuttal!
The generals don't have a fight because they read about it, but because they were ordered to. Same with the Soldiers.
I'll tentatively agree with the nation part.

I know what it is. I just... well, I thought this site had an age limit. I didn't think that anyone in high school ever had recess, so I have to know, what is a kid this young doing on this site? Or does he just go to a slightly-awesome high school with recess?
My secondary (high) school does.

We have a small break at around 11, and a longer one at half 1. It's a good thing.

I realised the Quote thing had buggered up all too late

The Generals weren't ordered to. They gave the orders. Also, they decided to become Generals because they read about history and military warfare (at least in the Imperial times), and when I said soldiers, I said Propaganda, I didn't imply they read a book and joined up (a few might have), I'm talking about Britain Needs YOU!!!! stuff

It all worked out.

And the Generals serve under the people who are in power...thus they are ordered to fight. Sure, they can decide tactics, but they are still following orders. Those orders flow down to the Soldiers, who carry them out.

Yeah, they could join because of something they read, but I don't think they fight because of the propaganda. It may sway them, but I doubt anyone is that susceptible to suggestions.

Maybe a rephrased version of what I said earlier would clear this up.
What group of kids decides to reenact a big fight scene they read about?
Especially during school?

Right. Firstly, punctuation is your friend. You know, these things: .,;:'!"?/ they tend to be usefull.

Secondly, I'm going to go with stupid. Its very stupid that the fight ever kicked off. But then again, it sounds like your in 6th grade or something like that, so...I don't care.
I remember my class trying to reenact the Battle of Hastings, The Battle of Agincourt and the Battle the Somme (We were all big Military History buffs)
