Edit: I got an email from Hasboro and they don't seem to mind. They would consider this fanwork and as long as I don't start a sweatshop making these things they are alright. If I do end up mass manufacturing them they will require me to get official license which includes an initial fee and a cut of the profits.

Cool project and all, but Hasbro has the rights to the MLP toyline, I don't think it is legal to sell plushies like that. If you made a few of them for friends, cool, but you can't openly get people to buy them, unless Hasbro knows or lets you, this is illegal.

Copyright is a serious thing.

Like I said, I talked with someone from Hasboro, and that is what they said. It is a fanwork, they saw the kickstarter, and if it does grow to the point it becomes an issue I would basically have to agree to a similar kind of thing as "We love Fine" and other small businesses that sell shirts and other mlp related merch.
