Well, i am single for about... 16 years now. (Oh man, really?)

But that didn't matter anyway since i was sick with splitting headaches + symptoms of a common cold.

So yeah, that day wasn't that good - pretty much like the last few weeks.

Personally I hate the holiday. I think fururama are the only one's who have ever got the morale of the day correct.

If you must know I spent it home alone. (I'm the forever alone type)

Weekend before Valentine's day, we rented a room and spent the whole day at the pool and in the room.

Since my oldest son's b-day is on the 13th, Valentine's day pretty much ceased to exist for us ;oP

But still, I took my lunch break and went to her workplace with flowers, chocolates, a baloon and a Valentine Card that said "I love you more than a back-alley hooker loves crack" just because I'm me ;oP.

(It's funny to see the reaction from people at her work while I waited to see her. Women would go "Oh! Are these for me???" and men would tell me "Somebody wants to get lucky tonight!")

After work, I stopped at a chinese restaurant and brought home supper for the whole family and then some. We ate chinese food for the next 3 days. Still have some in the fridge actually lol

aaaand that's it

I care about Valentines day so little that I didn't even realize the 14th was Valentines day until the day after. I'm single and have been focusing on my education/career for the last few years and I can truly say I'm happy. I have friends, I have hobbies, I'm very fit and healthy and work out on a regular basis, my studies went well and my career prospects look good and I'm the ruler of my life; I go places I want and do things when I want to do them, I don't have to second guess myself and wonder whether my other half will agree with what I'm doing or whether it's going to cause an argument - and it's bloody brilliant. People get so down about being single yet forget about the freedoms it affords you and it's so underrated.

Spent it with the one person who matters the most, of course~

Well, it's a good excuse to buy some chocolate, right? ... Right? I'm so lonely

My Valentines day was just another day for me. Woke up feeling ill, Went to work, came home, completed the Separate ways scenario on Resident evil 4, then I went out and bought food, before coming home and reading Game of thrones. It was actually a pretty decent day, if it wasn't for this damned cold, and I had someone special to share the day with, I haven't dated in a while.

I like this website, but Christ I pretty much have to avoid any thread regarding relationships. It's like depression-cubed.
Took the words right out of my brain. I feel like if I hated Valentine's Day, I just wouldn't bother posting in a topic about Valentine's Day. I mean, people are free do post what they want, but it just boggles the mind. Especially the posts that didn't describe what said person did on Valentine's Day, but only pointed out that they were alone for it. Being alone is not an activity.

My friend who's in Lebanon as a peacekeeper came to his holiday. We went to his place, drank, talked, watched olympic ice hockey and went to a bar. Good times.
