i've seen much hype about this game
and i to am hyped about this game
to the point where this game has earned my respect
and when i first saw it i thought the graphics were AMAZING
but now that i've seen them in full motion and played them here's my view

(Quick note this is based on the demo and video's)

when i first started playing i was expecting to be blown away instead
i was dissipointed when i found out my jaw didn't drop
the only thing that instantly got my attention was the amount of detail on the Gun
other than that everything seemed to be Quite normal

here's a better way to sum it up

when i started of up MGS4 it just made me smile more and more at seeing how good
the graphics looked same with Gears of War i loved the detail they put into everything

but in Killzone 2 i can't seem to pick out what makes me feel that this is not what i expected
i'll admit ya there good but it's as though that all that "pushing the system to it's Max"
is not there

but the gameplay i liked

anyway please post your views because i need to know if my eyes haven't tricked me

They have tricked you. I played the demo and found the graphics and gunplay to be amazing. I usually don't get caught up in the hype and this game was no different, but after playing it a few times i went out and pre-ordered it. My only qualm with it was that it was to short compared to other demos. Oh and how they haven't released it for the American PS, that really pissed me off.

Yep. Your eyes tricked you. :)

Downloaded the demo this morning and it looks insane. I'll put up a review when I play more. I had to come to work... :(

Your eyes have deceived you.

Maybe it's because you've already seen that scenario over and over again.

But the voice acting in the game is so terrible, it's hilarious. I played on other languages to hear the voice acting of Russia, France, and Nederlands and they were all laughably bad.

It provided hours of entertainment.

hype = anti climax.

Everybody says that the graphics are amazing and they are, but untill you see it for your self they, are built up to be the best thing since sliced bread in your mind so when you see it for your self and make your own oppinion on it, it doesnt live up to your 'sliced bread' expectations.

i feel that i have fallen victim to this as well, i played the game and thought it looked visually stunning but i had something else in my mind that detracted from the graphical genius that has gone into this game.

Who came up with that sliced bread expression and why has everyone decided that sliced bread was such a great thing?

I haven't had the chance to play the demo yet, so the graphics are awesome, the question remains...

is the gameplay actually any good? Fun? Why should I spend my hard earned on this when there are so many FPS's out there?

yes, thanks UNKNOWNINCOGNITO for that insightful comment, however my original question remains.

As for exclusive, well dude, I don't understand what the big deal is with this. A game may be exclusive to one console, but if it licks the big balls, then it licks the big balls, and the console won't help it at all! (Anyhoo, I have 360 & PS3, no preference for either.)

I still haven't seen any reason to buy this game. My fav games mag, Hyper just gave it 8/10, and they said that Resistance 2 is the best FPS on ths PS3 still.

just look at it from a simple point of view

was R2 Fun ? (it definatley was for me)

is Killzone 2 going to be Fun ? (it's like R2 it got Big hype and it blew everyone away thats the same here)

so if you want another FUN game to your collection then Killzone 2 is it

P.S.

From what i've seen i think that Killzone 2 has a Deeper online experiance but thats my view

Sliced bread led to toast and the sandwich. Beat that.
Bacteria lead to eukaryotes which lead to chordates which lead to vetebrates which lead to mammals which lead to humans. Don't know if it's used in the same context (best thing since bacteria???) but still...

Killzone 2 looks very good, but I think I'll rent it due to the short single player

Back in the day, Bread used to come only as a Loaf of bread, not sliced, you'd go to a store, and litterally buy a loaf of bread. You'd go home, pull out the chainsaw, and have to cut a piece off at a time. This made it a chore to eat the bread, and of course, every slice was a different size.

Then they invented the bread slicing machine which looks like 30 band saws with a 1/4" spacing between each blade, and shuvving the bread through it to slice said bread.
This also made it possible for sandwhich shops to become profitable, as all the bread was pre-sliced, and bought that way, instead of having to slice it them selves. And every good sandwhich has one thing in common.

Sliced Bread. ;)

Is the graphics as good as the ones shown a few E3's earlier? Or is it better than that?
Better
Wow. And to think that a few years ago most of everyone were screaming "PRE-RENDERED!" and/or "GRAPHICS LIKE THOSE ARE NOT POSSIBLE!". Just goes to show how far Graphics technology has come.

I downloaded the demo and it made me feel like when I lost my virginity. "What the hell? Is that it?". I rode the hype train and it stopped at disappointment :p
