My word L4D2 is a joyless experience offline.

So with my half paycheck that I got this month, I got myself a 360, Bayonetta, L4D2 and a wireless adaptor (no one told me out of the 3 the Xbox DIDN'T have it's own wireless detector!!) so after all that I'm slightly broke until next month, no XBL Gold but I decided to have a go at L4D2 offline to get the controls and features down.

Geez it was despressing.

Yeah the AI does the job, it shoots things it follows you about but damn is it souless. One particular event I remember is on Dead Center, where you have to retrieve the cola from the shop over the road to procede. I do this, find the cola and NOT ONE of the AI *ever* thought to pick it up, ever. They just shot away whilst I had to carry it, drop it, defend myself since the bots decided I was a good enough player to do it on my own and so on, and I was doing this every 5 steps or so. At the end of Dead Center, getting the fuel for the Car, same problem, follow the leader and no tactics other than "kill dey zombees".

How people play this game when their internet is out I have no idea, if not for the promise of a superior godlike game in contrast when I get the Gold, It would have been traded away quicker than Roadrunner on caffine.

Its not that bad. You can hit with the Cola. If the AI did everything then it wouldn't be a challenge. I think offline is more fun sometimes. I prefer split screen the best though.

OH believe me my friend it gets waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better online, Versus, Survival, Realism, all great modes. Get your chums involved and you'll have a great time.

My personally advice would be to not fire the Grenade Launcher at approaching infected when all 3 teammates and said infected are in a thin vent. On Expert Realism. That will make you look a bit silly.

I didn't do the sequel, but Co-op zombie survival just ain't the same without the co-op to be sure.

I never really enjoyed L4D online or off to be honest. It felt dull, boring and repetitive to me.

I just think it pales in comparison to that other Valve game with that other protagonist and would much rather they released it instead.

You know the one.

Portal?

And in my experience, L4D isn't much better online either, especially on the 360, I've been kicked from so many matches for not doing things to the exact specifications it's not even funny. Or the assholes, dear god the friendly firing, trash talking assholes.

L4d is mainly a multiplayer game. The bots are meant to only be substitutes for absent players. Once you get live itll be a lot more fun.

Is the one you're talking about that one game's sequel where GORDON FREEMAN SAVED MY LIFE.... Sorry

OT: Yeah offline mode is a bit dull, but it helps you learn the maps so you don't look like a n00b online, even though online play is where you learn all the fun little tips and tricks for really kicking ass.

Ya I kinda prefer the AI partners. They will NEVER friendly fire you, their aim is really good, and they always put you (The human player) first because it's gameover if you die.

Get a friend to come around and play it split screen. It's alot of fun.

But...but...that time, with the boat...where you ran off and got killed by a Tank...

Didn't that mean anything to you?

I find the best setup is one human, three AI because then they're like your personal body guard. Or three humans, one AI because then you have a magical friend who follows you around and shoots special infected from half a mile away with pinpoint accuracy. However, with two humans, two AI you just end up squabbling over them like a divorced couple as the AI will both follow one human rather than both pairing up.

Single player helps if you're just starting out with L4D and need to know sticks and stones of all the maps. Once that's done get GOLD and start playing online with others, then it becomes quite amusing.

Whoa, wait the new slim model xboxes have a wifi card installed, where are you because in the UK I dont think you can really get the older models new anymore.

4gb flash ram model = £129.99
250gb harddrive model should be about £190, with stuff.

Aren't you like somewhat of a CoD fanboy? I'm not trying to start anything, or trying to insult you. I'm just saying that I think I've seen you praise those games more than once, and if that's the case, I think this statement of yours is pretty hilarious.
Yes, I am a COD fan. A big one. I'm also a huge Valve fan.

And yes, you are clearly trying to start something.

People like different things. What you find repetitive, I may not and vice versa. So get over yourself and try not to hit your head when you fall off your high horse.

When you motherfuckers ran off and Left me 4 Dead? Hehehe. That hurt my feelings, man!
