America, home to jersey devil, mothman and flying spaghetti monster.
We had a game or two were you play as the Jersey Devil but he looked more super hero than monster.

The U.S. is also home to the Bigfoot and, The Goat Man. I think bigfoot has been in a few video games and goat people have been in others.

But i live in England and the closest thing we have to a mythical creature is in Scotland.
You've not heard of the Green Man, the Beast of Bodmin Moor, Formorians, Kelpies, The Lambton Worm, The Jabberwock, Banshees, Brownies, Leprechauns, The Beast of Exmoor, Barghests, Boggarts, Gytrash, Cu Sith, Freybug, Redcaps, Knockers...Son, I am disappoint.
A few of those are more Gaelic/Celtic than English. Leprechauns are Irish, Cú Síth is Scottish and banshees are Scottish AND Irish.
But yeah, England has a pretty fucking rich mythological history.

Do not forget the fearsome beast of Caerbannog!

He has huge sharp, pointy teeth, with a vicious streak a mile wide! His lair is surrounded by bones!
What? Over behind that rabbit?
It is the rabbit.

I'm German, and the first mythological creatures I think of are the "Wolpertinger" (it looks a bit like a hare with fangs and antlers, as well as some other animals' parts and is apparently a taxidermist's joke) and my favourite:

The Bahkauv!
It looks a bit like a scaly puma with a long dragon tail and it's said to attack drunken men at night and pull them into the gutter.

Nøkken (underwater trollcreature)

He makes you drown in lakes and can morph into bascically whatever he wants. Not to be trifeled with.

Norwegian trolls are fucking scary. I know for a fact that the cute ones we show to tourists aren't real! Draugen, nøkken og skogtrollet will eat your face. (and you house)

A couple of those are Irish and Scottish or Celtic and not really English.

OT: Well there are plenty of different races in Ireland mythology. Although not the wierdest the one I would like to see in a game the most would be something like the Tuath Dé Danann.

but they are some awesome and varied they make me want to watch troll hunters just to see all(well all the ones in the movie) the different types (if it is coming to the UK at all) but they would make a great game.

You guys have some awesome wee mythical beasties that's for sure.

Here in Australia we have the Aboriginal Dreamtime creatures like the fearsome Bunyip - A malevolent water spirit - Yowie - our version of big foot - and Yaramayhawho (edit just discovered this one researching for this post!) which seems to be a cross between a vampire and a story by H.P Lovecraft - the beast has hands that feature blood sucking apendages!

The dreamtime also features the Rainbow Serpant who shaped the land as he slithered his way along and Tidiluk the frog who was so thirsty he drank the inland sea!

TBF, that was back when there only was Albion and Hibernia. And didn't Wee Finn Macool build his bridge over to Hibernia?
I think we can safely call them all British.

Alpine Celtic mythology is full of cool stories that I would love to see in games sometimes, mostly because it's not always about Herculian supermen going around besting monsters in combat, but often just farmers, hunters and other random people being confronted with beasts they couldn't possibly outmuscle, only outwit.
Sadly it wouldn't make for a lot visual wise. Most of it is basically hairier, meaner versions of generic trolls and goblins.
That is except for the big players in the myths. My favorite is probably Frau Hitt, she's a queen of a giant tribe who's so big her steps cause avalanches and her voice is so powerful that she causes heavy storms when she screams.

Not English, though. Which is the point.
As it turns out there are like four countries in Britain. You filthy invading English bastards are always forgetting that. Like big fat jerkfaces.

Though I suppose, as you said, there was only really Albion and Hibernia way back when. So very little can really be said to originate from any current country.
Maybe we could compile them all under, like, Britceltic or something.
