I just have to go ahead and say this. I was taking the trash out and thinking about how life could be better. You know if it was exciting rather than the same boring crap you, me, and everyone else in the world has had to put up with, or in reverse, it?s very interesting but scary, traumatizing, and just sick. Wouldn?t it be nice if mythology was real? Life would be a lot more interesting, like a movie almost. You don?t have to worry about faith, since it would be obvious that it was real, and you could do all kinds of fun things. Like flying, making it so other people can?t fly, and making it so other people can?t make you not fly, just the overall magical, afterlife, eternal suffering package. Being a good person would defiantly account something, and life would just be exciting. Wouldn?t it be nice to live in a world where death doesn?t really matter that much, since there would be some kind of afterlife thing, and everyone would actually care about being nice? I just want to know what you think of it, the kind of mythology you?d want, and what you would do with your life.

Sorry if their are any errors, hail Zeus, ect.

It would be very interesting because I think it may polarize people some would become more good because of the gods but also more evil in support of others. cool concept

There was a Greek God of getting people wasted and then doing them. I'd probably be him or hang around with him a lot.

No because we'd all end up dead when some nutter sacrifices, goats to some giant evil god for world destruction.

I like the Greek mythologies, although I don't think I'd do to well I was in the Ancient Greece when it was ripe, although I'd probably devote my life to becoming a 2nd Jason.

That's Dionysus and his Maenads. BTW if you've read epic classical poetry you'll realise all the immortals and the Gods are a bunch of drunken, incestuous egomaniacs who can anything they want to anyone (Zeus started the Trojan war, according to myth). So no, mythology is not great.

I'm pretty sure the Maenads also ripped people apart. It would be less fun hanging around with them when you were being torn to shreds.

Aside from devout Me-ism, I worship foxes. So, all in all, I've like a some certain asian myths surrounding 'em to be real, thank you. You can worship gods, but at least you know where ya stand with a fox. (Just keep alot of rice and beans handy.)

This would be great until you piss off the wrong God and end up being tortured for all eternity.

Yeah, I can see how that may put a crimp on your day, but at least you go out in style.

Ive always preferred the Norse mythos. Plus it'd be so much cooler if my being a berserker actually meant something, in the current reality we call it anger issues. Also going to Valhalla is so much cooler than anything any other mythology has come up with.

Not that I know of :p But the Roman Pantheon had 3 or 4 Gods for doors alone, including one exclusively for doorhinges. They had a God for every occasion.
