Well everything would deffinitely be more interesting... but I wouldn't say it would be better. Although it's true you couldn't deny the existence of gods and godesses.

Are we talking one specific mythology or all of them? Because having all of them around would be really crowded. They'd all be fighting for the prime real estate. Not to mention several ancient cultures have apocalypse myths. The Aztec and their constantly dying suns, the Norse and their Ragnarok...
