"Very well, just be discrete." Anthony said, "And make sure not to lead anyone down here."

Wes saw this as an opportunity for himself, and asked both Burst and Eryn, "Can I join you?" He knew what Eryn had planned, but he still wasn't so sure of her control. He'd let her decide. If not, he was taking a liking to Burst as well so he couldn't go wrong with a flight.

Luka didn't take much thought before answering Justin. "I think you're talking about Sky. She was here for several weeks, very quiet and I suspect she was abused, but she moved on about a month ago."

"Sky..." Justin muttered, seeing her face in his eye. "Suits her eyes. Do you know where she went, sir? I..." he sighed, not sure what he'd say when he found her or how she'd react, "I need to talk to her. We have... history together, and we kinda split up on a bad note. I, uh, owe her an apology." His thoughts rushed to a worst case scenario where the two were alone, and she repaid him for all the torture and abuse he let her take.

If I'm gonna die, I'd rather not have every bone in my body broken first.

"I don't, sorry." Luka said sincerely. "All I know, is that she planned to leave the country. Maybe...maybe she said she was headed east, but I don't know that for sure."

Burst stretched his limbs carefully, as he walked out of the room that he had transformed in. He was not wearing any clothing, not that he needed any, and walked out to answer Wes' request.

"I do not mind if you join me for a flight." Burst answered the Skinwalker. "It would be nice to have some company... You can shift into flighted creatures, yes?"

Wes looked over Burst curiously as he emerged. He found the dragonkin very interesting, if just because he was so different from anyone he had ever met before.

"Yes, I can. But I haven't flown in a long time." Wes replied after a moment, "You may have to wait for . . . I'll be able to keep up."

They headed out and Wes shifted into a large hawk. He stretched out his wings experimentally, then flapped several times and winged across the open parking garage then looped around a pillar and landed next to Burst.

"I can fly." he said confidently, shifting back to human.

"Good. I'll try not to leave you too far behind." Burst said with a smirk, catching the Skinwalker examining his body. He chuckled in a low rumble, and spread his wings, beginning to hover slightly as his wings heaved powerfully.

"Are you going to join me, or shall I go by myself?" He asked the humanoid standing below him.

Eryn was relived that Wes had actually let her go. He knew what she was capable of, so she thought that he was going to say no. Eryn walked behind a nearby building and transformed. She loved being in her "true" form. She didn't have to pretend to be something she wasn't. It was a euphoric feeling.

She walked back to the others, pacing around them for a few moments before sitting down. Two years ago Eryn would have transformed and bolted from the scene, killing everything she came into contact with. But while she was imprisoned for two years she taught herself self-restraint, so now she was able to transform and not go on a murderous rampage.

Rolf looked over at Eryn, the wolf which would have had such problems controlling herself in the past, now being more or less obedient to her human self. Or maybe it was the other way around? At the very least she didn't have this contained warrior spirit inside herself at all times, and seemed more controlled, not like she was constantly on the brink of 'berserkergang'.

He leaned to a nearby wall, "It is good to see... You like that, Eryn... You look better... As what you are..."

"That's fine, thank you," Justin replied, subconsciously scratching Eryn behind the ears. Freezing as he realized what he was doing, he quickly pulled his hand back. "Oh God, I am so sorry. I just used to have a dog and he'd sit by me and I'd scratch his ears- please don't hurt me."

Wes smiled and leapt forward, shifting back to the hawk and starting off in flight. He flew past Burst and angled up the spiral ramp that would lead them outside.

Burst quickly caught up with Wesley despite the head start, but he seemed to be more cramped. All the way up, they didn't meet a single vehicle, luckily. They found the outdoors by following the beams sunlight, then sped out of the garage and higher up into the air. Wes started to fall behind on the climb, as Burst's powerful wings pumped him higher above him, so Wes let him lead the way.

Eryn growled as Justin retracted his hand. She was a werewolf, not some domesticated mutt. She walked passed Rolf and ran, running in the opposite direction of Wes and Burst. She ran through the alleys, enjoying the wind as it hit her face and the feel of pavement beneath her paws.

Thankfully she didn't encounter anyone, so she just continued to run. She didn't even want to transform back into her human form. Being like this was too enjoyable.

Burst and Wes were high above the Italian city, powerful updrafts and breezes keeping them aloft without much effort. He had missed the long flights that he used to take, before this miserable war. He and Squall would sometimes fly up to a thousand miles in a day, if the winds were right. Above the city, the winds were in peak condition... It was pleasant... and for a mere moment, Burst forgot why he was here...

He turned around while flying, to check on Wesley, who was behind him. The Skinwalker had taken the form of a mighty raptor of the sky, and was keeping a good distance with Burst. Burst slowed himself to match the Wes' speed, and got beside him to speak.

"You maneuver very well." He complimented the Skinwalker. "I am impressed."

Wes swivelled his eyes to look at Burst, unable to turn his head much without changing his flight path. Does he expect me to say something back? He thought to himself, able to understand but unable to speak without changing back to human form. I should take the time someday to practice with a imitating bird. It would be much more helpful.

He did still appreciate the compliment, especially since he hadn't flown in so long. He gave a short skree, then angled down and pumped his wings to pick up some speed and pull ahead of the dragonkin. How fast will he catch me?

Justin took his stuff into the farthest available room and pushed the door closed, not quite shutting it. He removed his jacket from his Secret Service outfit and threw it on the back of a chair, noticing the pistol shoved in his pants. Drawing it, he identified it as a USP Custom Combat 9mm with 18 rounds in the full magazine. An inspection of the chamber revealed an extra bullet, bringing the count to 55 with his two extra clips.

"Bit smaller rounds than I'd like," he mused, "but it'll take a man down." Placing the handgun on the small bedside table, he laid down with his hands behind his head. "God, what do I even say to her? 'Hey Sky, I'm Justin, remember me? I'm the guy who got the balls to help you escape only when you were being rescued anyways, but before then I let you get tortured and raped almost every day. But I gave you some of my blood to drink and got shot helping you get away, so we're cool, right?' Gorram foolproof." He sighed and closed his eyes, picturing the broken girl he'd seen daily for months and wondering how she'd changed.

Eryn stopped running, perching herself on top of the tallest building she could find. She pointed her nose towards the sky, smelling the distinct scents of everything and everyone in the city. It smelled dirty, and of humans. She preferred being in the forest, climbing mountains instead of buildings. Not to mention the forest smells a lot cleaner.

She howled loudly, anyone within a 150-mile radius would have been able to hear it.

"A howl is a happy occasion. Wolves love to howl. When it is started, they instantly seek contact with one another, troop together, fur to fur. Some wolves will run from any distance, panting and bright-eyed, to join in, uttering, as they near, fervent little wows, jaws wide, hardly able to wait to sing."

Eryn sat quietly, waiting to hear back from another wolf, but nothing came. Thanks to the war she'd probably never hear or see another werewolf again.

Anthony walked with the vampire. They had much to discuss, "Anthony it has been too long my brother," Luka said embracing Anthony warmly, "Much has changed since you left for North America to free the three prisoners. We have built here and we are strong. There of course is strong resistance from the Catholic Church, but that has come to be expected of course..." he paused as a long howl echoed through the halls and by the sound of it, throughout the city.

"What was that?" Luka asked hesitantly, almost afraid.

"That was one of the prisoner's," Anthony listened to the sad howl of a broken beast, "I have not been given much to work with, hopefully the Mother will see that and send me something. I can't do this without her help, despite what she thinks."

Luka nodded slowly, "I'm sure she will take that under advisement, but mind you she is fighting a war with two deities, that takes effort on its own."

"Well if she had intervened a few years ago we wouldn't be in this much shit right now," Anthony retorted back. He moved towards the nearest exit, "Luka we can discuss more of this later, for now it is plainly obvious that one of my team is hurting, I must go to her."

Anthony left the complex and took off into the air, his suit vanishing into its normal angelic cloak instead. Feathers fell from his wings as he flew, trying to locate the source of the howling. Soon he saw her, alone as she always appeared to be. Silently he landed behind her, walking up and placed his hand on her shoulder, feeling a slight flinch when he made contact, "Eryn, you need not to always be alone."

Eryn shrugged Anthony's hand off of her shoulder roughly. She didn't like getting treated like a common dog. They sat in silence for a few minutes before Eryn finally transformed back into her human form.

She sat down, hugging her legs to the chest. "Werewolves, like wolves, live in packs. They do just about everything together. Hunt, sleep, defend territory... howl. I've never had a pack. I've only ever met one other werewolf and he's dead." And he was my father.

"We should get back to the base. I'm hungry."

"Eryn, you know there has to be more of you out there; you know there is, but for now, as cheesy as you may find it, we are those that you will roam with until then," Anthony closed his eyes thinking back to before the war, before he had been little more than a guard of Eden and now he was a leader of a worldwide resistance. And alone. He decided to do one thing before they left, or as they left, "Eryn I think its time to show you that we can be trusted to look out for you."

Burst flew downward as well, catching up with Wes, feeling the wing against his face. As the two avians maneuvered in the sky, Burst heard a powerful, mournful howl coming from the ground. It must have come from Eryn, the werewolf girl... Such a cry, gone unanswered, it was saddening.

"Wes." Burst said to the Skinwalker, as they were flying side-by-side. "We should return to the ground. Anthony will likely not be pleased if we spend too much time out in the open."

Wes heard the howl, knowing it had to be Eryn. It sounded so lonely without any response, that he was momentarily tempted to land so he could howl back.

"Wes, we should return to the ground. Anthony will likely not be pleased if we spend too much time out in the open."

In response, Wes cut a wide circle ahead of Burst and headed back for the base. After several minutes drifting lower and lower, they found themselves above the parking garage. Wes pulled into a steep dive, only spreading his wings out in time to drift into the door of the parking garage and toward the ramp.
