"And people say I need to lighten up,"
"To be fair, he works with Turians. He probably caught the old virus; 'Stick ass'. Terrible affliction." The Quarian tutted and shook his head slowly. He then smiled and chuckled lightly, only the laugh showing his good mood.
"Sorry about the finger...thing."

"May I kindly request," Lon said, "You do not play that game when we are in a military instilation waiting for orders. I do NOT want to be thinking it is just "your game" when we are under and actual attack."

Ravvik watched the volus's reaction to the game noises with some amusement, clearly the little fellow was a bit jumpy and perhaps a little short on attention. He had never heard the citadel called a military installation before, he'd heard it called a lot of things, center of galactic power, ancient crossroads of the mass relays, possibly a gateway to darks space for the robot squids that had invaded the galaxy, but never a military installation.

He laughed, "Relax Lon the citadel is a safe place, well compared to Omega or Tuchanka at least, maybe you should have a drink or get some rest."

Nilus glanced at the time on his Omni-Tool. "This Asari isn't coming. I'll show you to the barracks." he muttered. He was still a little sore that he hadn't won against Ailia. But still, he'd buy a round later. "The Barracks" was actually more of a house. There was a central lounge area, a kitchen, rooms for each squad member, then a secured military area that led to their Kodiak launch pad and armory.

"Leave your equipment in the armory. Thorel will be giving us a briefing soon. Get some rest until then."

I'll do some sort of map later. I'll also do the introductory posts for the NPC squad members.

Litherax followed along with the rest of his new team members, taking up the back since point was obviously taken by Nilus. They arrived at the Barracks, and he was not prepared for the luxury that it was, much nicer than anything he'd been living in for the last seven years, the lounge alone was larger than most places he'd had to share with a dozen others.

"This is...unexpected,"He said as he set his bag with his equipment in down by one of the chairs,"It's been almost a decade since I was on the Citadel, and it rarely disappoints in terms of marvels."

He picked the bag up and went into the armory, where he found a locker with ease of access, visibility of the exits and entrances, and nearby cover should it be needed. Too much time in hostile territory had ingrained these little habits in him, and despite this being the Citadel, it was still a place that could and had been attacked. The Sovereign Reaper was proof enough of that. He kept his Phalanx in its holster which he strapped to his leg. It'd go in the compartment at about the same place on his armor when they suited up. Finally, he locked it and brought out his Omni-Tool, hacking the lock and installing his own passcode that had about three different firewalls between it and whoever felt like finding his gear was a good investment.

With all of it done, he walked back out into the main living area and sat down, awaiting this Thorel and the briefing. Probably the standard human drivel before actually getting to the important things.

Ailia followed Nilus into the party's quarters, making sure to take note of any ex- or infiltration points, as well as where the armory was in relation to the rooms, particularly hers, before finding an unclaimed locker, taking her short sword out from her hiding spot in her jacket (sheath and all), and putting it inside, next to her armor. There was nothing she could do about the gun in her hand, obviously, but she didn't mind that so much.

She had also arranged to bring her armor in before she had met with the group, and had made a note of where everything was then, as well. She didn't like people seeing her armor. She also didn't like people knowing she was a Shadow. She chalked it up to her paranoia.

When she finished locking her locker with every encryption she could think of shy of placing an actual padlock on it, she sat cross-legged across from Litherax and stared at the floor.

"And people say I need to lighten up,"

"I would say your not paranoid enough," Lon said, thinking about the number of fools that he heard say that phrase only to get there heads blasted off.

"To be fair, he works with Turians. He probably caught the old virus; 'Stick ass'. Terrible affliction."

"Hey," Lon started, "I do NOT work for the Turians, unless they pay enough."

"Relax Lon the citadel is a safe place, well compared to Omega or Tuchanka at least, maybe you should have a drink or get some rest."

"That is what they said in Omega and Tuchanka," Lon said, remembering his first time in both those places. He might of shot one of them, not sure which one.

"This Asari isn't coming. I'll show you to the barracks."

Lon followed Nilus, finding a pretty nice rooms to stay in. Not as good as the home he was brought up in, but far better than the wrecks he slept in while working with Korgans.

"Leave your equipment in the armory. Thorel will be giving us a briefing soon. Get some rest until then."

Lon left his SMG, most of his explosives in the armory, but kept his pistol, a small amount of explosives, and his cloak on him. It helped that his civilian clothing is the same as his military gear, and had a few places to hide some small weapons. First rule of being a Mercen- Private Defense Agent, always keep a weapon on you if the employer double crosses you. He then went to the debriefing room.

Komma followed the crowd, and by follow I mean he took the nice, comfortable middle. Like a Komma sandwich, the quarian mused. Safest place, too. His jaw dropped from the decadence of the place, and he was about to fall on the couch before he was ordered to leave his rifle in the locker. He sighed, getting up and putting it away.
"I'll miss you." he whispered, and walked away. He went to his room, and fell on the bed tired.

A gold-clad Quarian walked into the barracks working furiously with her Omni-Tool. "Bah! Work you bosh-tet!" she glanced up from her work and saw that several aliens had already made themselves comfortable. Her hand dropped to her pistol before she remembered Thorel's words. "Your team will be arriving shortly. Two Turians, a Quarian, a Human, a Vorcha, an Asari and a Volus."

"Ah. Hello." she muttered, before returning to her work. "The damn capacitors on the Kodiak are busted Malis! You'll need replacements... No I won't get them for you! The storeowner hates me since I correctly did his stock manifest... no, I wasn't employed there. Well he shouldn't leave incorrect stock manifests lying around!... Yes I'll install them." she shouted into the Omni-Tool before closing it.

She turned to Nilus and said "Ah. You must be Captain Kyral. I'm Meli'Dolah vas Adelaide nar Qwib Qwib, but you can just call me Mel. I'll need to take inventory of all the squad's equipment, armor, weapons, all that stuff. Need to relay it to your shuttle pilot. I'll be in the armory." Before Nilus could even reply, she turned and walked into the armory.

"That is what they said in Omega and Tuchanka,"

Ravvik shook his head as the volus walked off after saying this, he had either met some deceptive krogan or had a terrible travel agent for anyone to have told him Tuchanka was safe, and as for Omega, in either case the volus would not be very bright if he had ever believed either of those things, at the very least he was clearly paranoid.

"This Asari isn't coming. I'll show you to the barracks."

Ravvik fell in line behind Nilus, not particularly caring about his position in the group, they arrived at the barracks which were surprisingly well furnished, he hadn't expected such accomodations for mercenary work.

"Leave your equipment in the armory. Thorel will be giving us a briefing soon. Get some rest until then."

He deposited his shotgun and pistol into his locker, he doubted his employer would double cross them at this point given how far they had gone to impress them, and at the very least he still had his omniblades which would be more than sufficient in a fight, he also unpacked his armor and placed it in the locker, his natural regeneration was enough to protect him in a fight so he wasn't terribly concerned about that either. He noticed the others putting their things away, Komma seemed unhealthily attached to his gun, Lith seemed to be adding his own security measures, which only made him want to simply slash open the locker with his omni-blades and steal its content even more, the same with the human. He didn't manage to catch what the volus was doing but knowing himhe would be keeping a holdout weapon on him.

He wasn't particularly tired, though perhaps a bit hungry, so he sat down on his bed and dug around in his pack for some food, before going back to his reading. A quarian walked in, greeted Nilus, yelled into her omni-tool, and then walked out, Ravvik paid little attention to her, though he did catch her name and position.

The Quarian woke up again from the yelling, looking for his gun. He remembered where he was, what he was doing, and that he REALLY hated yelling.
"QUIET BOSH'TET!" and he resumed his second favorite pass time.

"QUIET BOSH'TET!"

Mel stopped halfway to the armory. No one yelled at her, not in her barracks. She'd been here longer than this other Quarian idiot, and it was time he learnt some RESPECT. She turned on her heel and found the room this unknown Quarian was living in, then put a voicelock password on the door. "I'm sorry little bosh'tet. Why don't you come out and say that to my face!?" she shouted through the door.

He woke up again. He was starting to not like this job, though it seemed it was actually a Quarian who was shouting. A female one. He chided himself for losing THAT opportunity. He opened the door.
"Bosh. Tet." He closed the door again.

Ai sighed and rubbed her temple. This was hardly professional. They hadn't even had their briefing yet, and they were already infighting. This was why she preferred working alone.

Litherax looked at the human sitting on the floor across from him, and smiled a bit again, mandibles again going straight down.

"I take it you aren't used to this?"

Lon walked around, trying to note as much as he could about the living rooms. He noticed the human sitting on the floor and the Turian going to talk to her. The human seemed agitated, although he had only worked with humans on a few occasions (having shot at more humans than shot with), and wasn't very good at reading their body language. Still, making allies early increases survival chances if the team has internal problems later.

"I take it you aren't used to this?"

"Don't worry," Lon said, walking over, "It is the first day of this squad. None of know each other, it will take awhile for us to effectively... work together. This always happens, it just worse right now because of our... unique species line up."

Fixed.

Nilus watched the squad with a sense of amusement. Unlike Ai and Lon, he was used to working with other people.

"I've met Meli'Dolah before, Battle of the Citadel afterparty." he told the group. "I happened to be on The Citadel at the time and was assisting C-Sec. She was lead engineer on The Adelaide. I think she's just more used to being in command, and not taking bullshit from mouthy Quarians." he laughed.

Nilus checked the time on his Omni-Tool. "Bah. The briefing is in 10 minutes. I was GOING to go to Purgatory and get a few drinks down. Guess that'll wait until after the mission" he moaned. "Who's up for waking our local biotic prodigy?" he said, with a hint of condescension.

"I take it you aren't used to this?"

"If you think this is bad you should try leading krogan and other vorcha," Ravvik said, not bothering to look up from his reading.

"Who's up for waking our local biotic prodigy?"

Ravvik closed his book, stood up and walked over to Komma's bed he considered how best to wake him, his sit ought to be sturdy enough to survive if he simply shoved him out of the bed, or he could snarl loudly at him, vorcha were good at snarling. He decided to simply shake him, the quarian was rude and overconfident but so were most krogan he had worked with, he grabbed one of the quarian's shoulders and shook him to wake him up.

Ailia's a woman, Mr. Ivingname. :p

"I take it you aren't used to this?"

"Nupe," she said simply. "I'm an infiltrator. If I need backup, it's usually because I messed up. So if I accidentally cause some friendly fire, I apologize in advance."

The Quarian hopped up, glowing purple with a ball of biotic energy swirling in his clenched fist. For a second he didn't recognize the Vorcha, but then saw his attire. Komma sighed, and let go of his prepared reave.
"Keelah se'lai, what is it now?"

"Keelah se'lai, what is it now?"

"We are headed out soon, Nilus thought you should be awake for that," Ravvik replied, turning and walking off to join the others.
