Lessee, imma try to make it realistic-scenario as possible...
So, apocalypse is happening, somethin jus thrashed the house, making all rooms except my own inaccessible or too dangerous to explore without it collapsing. I have a limited time to grab 4 things before escaping out the window...
1)large backpack. It's gonna be a long journey, I'm gonna need a lot of supplies, if I can't take them here, I'll take them elsewhere.
2)Weighted 3-foot double-edged sword. I have a few other bladed weapons here, but this one is sharpened, decent length, and sturdy. I'll probably pick up a good shiv or so outside somewhere. Let's face it, toughest enemy in every post-apocalypse story has always been "other people."
3)Heavy Coat (Fortunately with my belt and shoes right by it). Since these are all together and don't take any additional room, I could grab them at once. I need some protection from the elements, and extra pockets are always handy.
4)Assorted desktop items. Since the room's about to cave in, I dump the contents of my desktop into the bag before leaving. The supplies are minimal, but useful: 1 half-empty bottle of water, 1 half-empty bag of jerky, 1 half-empty bag of candy, 1 small notebook with pencil, car keys, 1 cellphone. If lines were available, I'd make contacts and plans of meeting quick as possible.
If I could only choose one from option 4, I'd prolly go for the cell to try the contacts. It may end up failing, but I don't know til I try, and future allies and potential places to stay are quite valuable. >.> Jus bein more realistic with what I'd grab in limited time, though it may blur the "4 item limit" a lil.
