Also, I like play swordfights and pretending just as much as I used to when I was younger.
I'm in college right now and a few of us bought some Nerf swords and we play swordfight constantly, it's a riot, plain and simple.

I unconsciously try to avoid walking on cracks and I always try to walk along something difficult (a guardrail for example).
I am constantly trying to calm myself down when around friends as I easily get excited (sometimes, depending on my mood).

I always, during class or after, fire pretend guns with my hands. Now that I've grown up though, I've also realized the fun of firing pretend rifles. It's always fun pretending to fire a Barret, and even doing the slow wind sound after you've fired the "bullet".

18 here too, by the way.

I am insanely stubborn, and I will sometimes annoy my brother just for attention.

And I have 3 stuffed toys I still sleep with.
Annoying siblings for attention? You do realize that it is physically impossible to grow out of that habit, right? Because christ it is fun.

I still get disappointed if I have no Lego under the tree at Christmas. I like to sit in my underwear and watch cartoons before I get ready for work (lately I've found a channel that shows the 90's Spider-Man cartoon so I've been watching that. A year or so ago it was Reboot every morning). I have a Sonic Screwdriver toy which forever sits on my coffee table and does not fail to see use, regardless of whether there's a new Doctor Who episode on. I've got stuffed toys and action figures littering my computer room, in amongst my hundreds of video games, graphic novels and comic books. If anything I read more comics now than I did when I was a kid and spent most of my allowance on them every week. My desk at work has Superman, Batman, and Captain America bobble heads on it and I drink from a Tardis shaped mug because who the hell wouldn't? I regularly have tickle fights with my wife. And I don't even mean that we have tickle fights and it ends in sex, I mean we just have tickle fights because they're fun in and of themselves. And with regards to the person who posted the xkcd comic where they build a fort out of pillows and cushions, I did that in my wife's (then girlfriend) apartment within a couple of months of starting to date to surprise her. She loved it.

I'm sure I could go on, but that's all that I have at the moment off of the top of my head. If there's one thing that growing up has taught me, it's that being an adult sucks more often than not, so it's pretty damn important to hold onto the silly things that bring you joy and never let them go. Life itself can be far too serious and soul crushing if you let it so I take every chance I can get to be silly and enjoy myself. If anyone tells you you're too old for something that's fun, it usually means they're so busy trying to act the part of being an adult that they forgot how to have fun simply for the sake of it.

Everytime I go with my family into a large building we always use the stairs, but I secretly want to use the elevator and go like -whooosh-

Oh, where to start, well straws are awesome, specially when they are all spiralled and stuff, I love candy a little too much, I get way too excited when I go eat ice cream, I am always playing while walking on the street (walking on the edge of the side walk walking only through certain patterns, you know that kind of thing), when I'm too happy you'll see me skipping around the street in a way too cheery mood, I actually still get sugar rush.
And I'm pretty sure there's a lot of other stuff, I'm fairly childish, which is a little odd considering that most people think I'm an emotionless robot, but anyway I'm 21 BTW, and yes everybody stares at the tall guy with a scar over his eye when skipping down the street like a excited little kid and I really couldn't really care less, though only 3 years ago I was so short that everyone actually thought I was 10 so it was easier to get away with it, but I suddenly became tall.
Pretty much all of this. Except replace "21 year old tall guy" with "almost-22-year-old tall gal."

Oh, and I'm still convinced that vegetables are evil. So there's that. Especially carrots... there's something suspicious about 'em.
Wait, really? Or did you mean just the first paragraph?
Sorry I asked it's just that the scar thing and the "3 years ago I used to be so short that people thought I was a 10 year old" part are well a little too specific, and if you have that too then that's sort of an eerie coincidence.
Incidentally if that last part is true, did you find it odd how everybody treats you completely different when you look like the age you actually are, I mean for me it was just strange that suddenly people started saying cuss words and talking about sex, they used to never do that until I became tall, also people are not as nice anymore, which is ok I guess, but everybody was much nicer before I was tall.
[sub]Sorry if I'm intruding too much but I am curious, I guess that's another childish quality I have, I am very inquisitive.[/sub]
Not the too short part, but similar enough: until I cut my hair a few years back, I was constantly taken for much younger than I was (admittedly, my habit of putting my hair in pigtails probably was half of that problem). Then, well... short haircut + wearing clothes that actually accent my body = suddenly everyone realizes how old I am. I've been 5'9" for a while, though. And no scar over my eye. Just a few scars on my hands, wrists, and legs.

And yeah, the difference in attitude is rather strange. I can't say I've noticed too many more people cussing around me- hell, I curse like a sailor when I feel the need, so no one that knows me ever bothers watching their mouth- but there are certain differences to the way people treat me. ...I miss having female friends, for one. It feels like I get an automatic catty reaction whenever I approach my own gender anymore, save for a few people who just treat me normally, and I can't figure out why for the life of me. I certainly haven't changed. Well, not in attitude, at least.

Freakin' ninja'd by everyone.

>LEGO is undoubtedly the greatest toy, ever.
>Fake swordfights are part of the reason I want to learn real swordplay. Well, that, Star Wars, Assassin's Creed, and Fire Emblem.
>Some games undoubtedly aimed toward a younger audience like Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, and a massive amount of Nintendo titles still hold my interest.
>Who isn't too old for Peanut Butter and Jelly?
>Or funny voice impressions?
>Or pretending things?
>Or refusing to let kids win at games because you never let go of your inner child?
>Or indulging in that cheap novelty crap from time to time? I still wear a cheap foam akubra that I got at a festival last October.
>Yes, I still check out the building block and sci-fi toy aisles.
>I don't try to exact vengeance upon people who wronged me, but indulging in petty revenge for the most trivial of things is so fair game.
>I tend to ride the grocery cart down inclines (or with a running start if I have a stretch of space in the store).
>I never developed proper handwriting beyond taking notes.
>Due to being weaned as a gamer into my dad's sci-fi and strategy games, I fantasize about battles of epic proportions going on around me every day.
>I indulge in petty evil, including my own evil laugh.
>I doodled from elementary to middle school into college.[footnote]This warrants explanation, and may shed some light on the reason I partake in half of these things. The summer after 8th grade, I decided to try home-schooling for 9th. I also had an option to take my first dual-enrolled class, English Composition 1. So, I started college there.
I never stopped.
I did home-schooling and state-funded college classes throughout my high school years. I still have to 'finish' 12th grade, but I already have my Associate's Degree. I essentially skipped High School as most know it. Because of that, I entered the adult world with an 8th grade mindset, and since everyone treated me like an adult, no one would correct me on anything.
How's that for not growing up?[/footnote]

I don't want to add MLP to the list, because I hated it as a kid. That's actually more symbolic of balancing my adult life with my inner child.
I never did like straws when I could just drink straight out of a cup, but if we had squiggle-straws...

I still enjoy watching cartoons.
My playfulness is one of the first things people notice with me.
If I don't watch out I'd sooner follow my emotions than my judgement.
A shirt and a tie is something I only wear if I absolutely have to.
I'd do anything for a job that doesn't call for me to wear a shirt and a tie.
Tree-climbing is awesome.
Hell yeah, ponies.
I like treating my CyberClean putty like a batch of slime.
Alternatively using it until it makes farting sounds.
The simple things in life can still be really fun and interesting.
Bad atmospheres really throw me off.
I still have a teddybear in my bed.
I really hate discussing politics, though mostly because those conversations always go sour.
Acting on impulses is still fun.

And I'm turning 20 in a month's time. Go me!

I watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and that's about it in terms of what I do that makes me childish, but I'm still pretty immature in otherways.

Putting aside that particular CS Lewis quote that I happen to agree with on maturity/childishness, I'll play along with this. :3

- I soliloquise pretty frequently, often imitation or a character from a story that only exists in my imagination XD
- I'm immensely apathetic
- My sense of humor can be rather silly at times
- I love kitties and still gush over certain cutesy/adorable things
- I watch the odd childrens cartoon/movie
- I love emoticons ^_^
- I'm perhaps a little excessively profane
- The older Pokemon games are still awesome like a ************
- I actually find quite a few memes and image macros with captions to be quite risible despite their infamous reputation for being tiresome and ubiquitous
- I legitimately like saying 'Like a boss'
- My setences/vocabulary is quite prone to verbosity and sesquipedalianism
- I habitually avoid fruit and vegetables :3
- I may often have to be prompted to get out bed or out of the house >.<
- I'm increadibly shy
- I'm pertty inquisitive
- I get distracted/procastinate pretty easily
- My emotional state tends to fluctuate pretty rapidly

And there's probably a lot of other habits I have/characteristics I exhibit that others would consider childish.

I love drinking through straws also!

I still lie all the time, despite being 18.

I still have one stuffed animal.

I can hold a grudge. I sulk whenever I feel upset.

I seek non stop praise. Links to me lying.

I walk on the edge of the pavement, balencing myself. I used to do this a lot, but not so much any more as I now live near a main road.

And last, but not least, I love to collect things. My biggest collection is my books.

Okay so I've noticed that many Escapists tend to take themselves way too seriously, and try way too hard to mature adults (which isn't bad, but it gets a bit dull 24/7)
I take offense at the notion that I am serious! :p

Err...anyway.

I'm a compulsive arguer. That can get pretty childish.

While I tend to handle big things with grace, I tend to whine about little things.

I suffer from ADHD. While this in itself is not childish, I tend to childish mischief when bored. Which is most of the time.

I still snicker at words like "boobs."

I watch cartoons.

Probably a ton of other things, but I'm bored now. >.>

I'm a coward, afraid of the dark, I like swearing, I'm too lazy to make anything more than cereal, and am quite prideful. I'd probably willingly lose a job or fail an exam if that was the only way to do things my way.

A lot of different stuff. I love a good story. No matter the medium. I don't loose, well obviously there are a lot of people better than me at just about everything but I still can't get myself to give up... ever. And that is basically the same thing that makes me brilliant as a grown up. In short I am to old to not do something just because someone finds it childish.

I'm a 26 year old Insurance agent and I still play Pokemon, have L4D2 and L4D posters at my desk and I love to talk in accents that are not mine. (Mid Atlantic/Baltimore accent is my native accent) Sounds kinda childish when I type it out like that. Oh well.
