I deleted savegame folder from Godfather on 98% completation, and how played Godfather knows how much time you need to spend to reach 98%.

back 5 years ago, i had a 7pages out of 10 done for a project and the power at the school went out, i was pissed but, thankfully the teacher was nice enough to change the assignment down to like 4pages because off all the losses.

Back on my old PSX I had a multi memory card. It was the equivalent of like 24 memory card in one. Had played FF7 to the end. Created a save right before the final boss and beaten the game. After a little while, I went back thinking that I wanted to fight him again, and my file was deleted. Soon, I realized that ALL the data on every game had been deleted. Threw that garbage away, bought some new Sony memory cards, and... started from scratch.

I've lost an essay before, for reasons I don't know. I saved it and reopened it several times, and then one day that file and that file alone was just gone, without a trace, from my computer. No one else had access to (or a reason to) delete it. To this day I am mystified by where it went.

I lost ca 320 GB of misc data with a complete Win2k crash back in '99.
Switched to 100% Linux since then, and have not lost a single byte since then.
