Name One True Sequel That Was Acually Better Than The Original

This can be anything from a movie, to a book, to a game, but I just haven't found any sequels that were better than their originals.

And what I mean by a true sequel is that it continues a story, NOT like the Call Of Duty series where Call Of Duty 2 and Call of Duty 3 were both completely diferent.

In my opinion, Godfather 2 was better than Godfather. Spiderman 2 was better than Spiderman. Those are the only immediate ones that come to mind.

I'm sure many people would argue LoTR: Return of the King was the best of the three movies.

Ok as for movies: the road warrior was better than mad max. empire strikes back was better than a new hope. T2 was better than T1. and in my opinion Army of Darkness was just a little bit better than evil dead 2 ( the boomstick puts it over the top lol)
as for games: I'm gonna say 90% of sequals are better than the original beacuse of the developers being more used to the style of the series. exsamples fable 2, fallout 3, super mario 3, Zelda: majora's mask (to clairfy, ocarina of time was amazing and changed gaming forever but Majora's mask was an overall better and more polished game, but ocarina is still the greatest game ever for it's impact) GTA 3, Resident evil 4 and so on.

Until Return of the King, which was the worst of the trilogy by a long margin, but I guess they threw the oscar to Jackson 'for the whole trilogy.'
Which is bullshit, because Fellowship was way better than that piece of shit "A Beautiful Mind"... Fucking Ron Howard ruins everything he touches. Every Ron Howard movie would be better if he never went near it, he makes great movies merely good, and turns good movies into shit.
