Are you serious?
Yes. Now I haven't played the original Fallouts or Red Alerts and barely any part of Morrowind, but those are some of my favorite games so shush.
Red alert 3 is donkey piss in comparison to Red Alert 2

LBA 2 > LBA 1

Terminator 2, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's, Sly 2 (I cannot say how much I loved that game), The Empire Strikes Back, Super Mario World, A Link to the Past, Half Life 2, Mega Man 2, and Super Metroid.

Edit: How could I forget Sonic 3? The art, music, and gameplay were all improved and while the plot was still thin, it still made a story and atmosphere that strangely compelled you, especially with Sonic & Knuckles added on.

Also, Sonic Adventure 2 is better than the first one, and while Shadow may have started the downturn with crappy characters you don't care about, he himself was one of the good additional Sonic characters. Then again, this is someone who actually likes the plot/mythos of the Sonic series, at least as far as the Adventure games go.

Hooray, I'm not the only one who still remembers and likes Sly 2 (ok, it's not obscure, I just didn't expect that many to still care)!

The first thing that popped into my head was 'Lego Star Wars: II was way better than I, but that was lame so I thought that I should get another one. Here it is: Brood War was better than the regular Starcraft, though not by much.

Though Half-Life 1 is amazing it comes short compared Half-Life 2. The sequel is practicly the same game but with better qualities (not technical qualities). Half-Life 2 has better story, better music, better characters but not better atmosphere.

All these games kick ass but try KOTOR and Fallout 2 (I think 2 is a bit better then 1), i agree with Red Alert 3 though, played all the other ones and just had a blast with this one

This can be anything from a movie, to a book, to a game, but I just haven't found any sequels that were better than their originals.
You obviously haven't either looked very hard, or anywhere further back than the last 10 years.

Aliens>Alien
Terminator 2>Terminator
Street Fighter 2>Street Fighter
Godfather 2>Godfather
Toy Story 2>Toy Story

etc, etc, etc...

I'd argue with you on that last one. The atmosphere is noticeably improved in my opinion, just look at the bridge (or all of Highway 17 for that matter) and Nova Prospekt.
