Name Stealers, how do you feel when your commenly used screen name is stolen?

Has this ever happend to any of you out there, you use the same screen name for like 10 diffrent games, a dozen or so websites, then you go to fill it in on another website or game and it comes up:

This user name is already in use.

I wont post my commonly used name here because it will provoke the trolls that inhabit any forum to steal it just to cause grief, but my name was stolen by someone here at The Escapist.....some one here has wronged me.

Its not like I use a name from a comic book or anime or anything, I dont go by Naruto666 or Ichigo or anything from popular entertainment. I deep down believe that people have seen my common screen name and said "thats cool, Ima steal that."

I seriously have considered trademarking my name.......

Thoughts, opinions, personal experiences on the matter? Has your good name been stolen lately?

I use a name from a popular tv series, so it happens quite often.

Normally I just use an alternative or a variation (eg; Swarles Barkley).

This username isn't that common but I do occasionally find that it's already been taken. My other username, the same one I use for my gamertag is Leviantine. That one is never taken.

It sometimes happens, but since I was given the name by someone else I'm generally not surprised when it is. I just go for my backup name.

When I come across someone with Jark or 212 in their name it instantly sends me into a homicide RAGE that may or may not result in the "disappearance" of said person and immediate closure of their account...

I have had it happen to me: i created a tauren character in wow, big, buff melee dude, know what i called him? Bullrush. i thought it was pretty clever.

I search the name on armory about 6 months later (that's how often i log armory) and 30 FUCKING RETURNS!!! Know how many there were before that, absoloute fuck nothing! I WAS THE FIRST! i mean, one of them was an undead warlock for fuck's sake, that makes no sense!

I usually use the name Wertler or Wertler23, which I made up on the spot while playing FIFA.
Because it's a strange name it isn't often used. But there still is the odd time it is.
It's strange cos I just made it up, out of the blue. It doesn't even mean anything.

I usually then go with Wertler2342 or, in extreme cases, Mr. Bojangles.

No-one here is called Wertler or any such derivatives, I was just in that kind of a mood.
