Fallout 3, easily. Bethesda blew me away with Oblivion, so I'll be pretty happy to bet my coins on this one, especially after all the juicy previews and gameplay videos.

Capt. Bland's Monotonous Adventure!

HAHA

Fable 2. The law of averages says that Peter Molyneux has struck gold this time!

Needless to say this is going to be one of the best quarters ever for the games industry. Fable, Gears, Fallout, WoW, LittleBigPlanet, COD World at War, Far Cry, Starcraft! it's going to be great, and have something for everyone!

Well, World at War is by Treyarch, so I'm cautious with that one...

I guess I'm the only PS3 owner her...I'm looking forward to LittleBigPlanet, considering I've always wanted to be able to create my own platformer levels.
Other people have said LBP, I personally am just not looking forward to that game. I don't really know why, but w.e.
I agree, LBP just doesn't tickle my todger. Surely, PC owners have been able to design their own platform games for years? I accept this may be selling the game somewhat short. But the videos look far from revolutionary - looks like an HD Wii game to me.

btw can someone explain why such a big hypw on fallout 3?¿(I've never played any of the fallouts)
Fallout 1 and (especially) 2 were richly atmospheric, beautifully designed, post-apocalyptic RPG's with oodles of ultra-violence, full of witty pop references (from A Boy and His Dog to Mad Max to Monty Python) and laced with biting, sardonic humour. Go play 'em!

Saints Row 2, been waiting for it since the start of the year and I even joined the SR forums for a month. I was looking forward to STALKER Clear Sky until I realized it would be completely buggy upon release. I called it and so did everybody else.

As I was an Incredible Machine crack-head for years, there was no doubt in my mind Little Big Planet was going to be great since it's unveiling late last year. I'm actually a bit put-off by all the craze that's being whipped up around it, makes me not want to buy it in fact, but there's no way I can resist. I don't think it will really appeal to that many people though.

As for PC owners being able to design their own games... Yeah, but not in-game. Only Garry's Mod and a few others do something vaguely similar, but its not really the same. I could simply C++/JAVA/Delphi anything together, but there's just so much work involved there, a more focused toolset of which you can explore the limits is a much different experience.

Khell:
Well, I still play StarCraft so I'm keeping my eye on that bugger. There's no way it's coming this year. I've read that the powers that be at blizzard have said you'll be playing D3 before SC2, but I find that rather incredible. If pressed I'd call Starcraft 2 to be launched in the second half of 2009.

The game I'll probably get this spring (autumn for you north hemispherians) is Fallout 3. Looks like it'll be enjoyable, and funny, and have some staying power.

Mirrors Edge looks good, but it'll probably have to go on my list of stuff to get when I'm not so broke, along with Bioshock and BF:BC.

Edit: And Mass Effect. Maybe.

I'm curious about Mirror's Edge and Fallout 3 of course, mostly Mirror's Edge because I don't trust Bethesda to not screw the Fallout franchise up.
I love RPG's, but the Elder Scrolls series frankly bored me silly. I only ever got to the end of Daggerfall (despite ten thousand bugs, each a game-killer on its own, but it was the only large new game available that year). I gave up on Morrowind and Oblivion out of pure boredom (this from a man who let the computer auto-race Forza 2 just to win enough to get all cars - despite hating racing games*), and from what I've heard of the endings it was a good call. So yeah, I HOPE Fallout 3 is good but I'm actually counting on it to be really awful.

And for crying out loud, Lego Batman seems AWESOME. (Not quite a jest, actually. I love Batman and Lego Games:)

(I think I'll buy Viva Pinata - Trouble in Paradise this weekend, btw. The first was just pure, unbridled fun. Does that put it on my list? Maybe.)

*I got Forza 2 for free with Viva Pinata. Would not have bought it separately!

Fable 2, I wanna have a kid, kill my wife, drop the baby off at an orphanage and see how long it takes him to come looking for revenge...
I doubt that'll happen. Molyneux seems big on this unconditional love thing. The kid would probably follow in your footsteps, kill his wife and kick his baby into an orphanage, and thus begins a vicious cycle and the question of why no one has called the guards yet.

Resistance 2 is definitely at the top of the list for me.
There's a magnum that lets you shoot people and detonate the bullets, and a gun that shoots through walls. What more could you want?

I need Fable 2.

If I was denied it I would kill someone. Seriously I would walk around telling nuns and babies to go fuck themselves then trip them down stairs. If ANYONE denies me this game i will kill them while crying.

I would give up every other game coming out this year for It.

It is my ULTRA-game. I already said this but I need this game. It's that game that everyone has that they will defend from everyone, even if it isn't that good. But Fable 2 won't have to worry about that as it's Epic may deny all disbelievers.

I am crazy for this game.

Mirror's edge, what is it about?
I have no intention of getting neither Fable 2 nor Gears2.

It's a parkour game. Looks really promising indeed.

I don't realy have high expectations on any game this quarter. Looking forward to the pc release of GTAIV though.
