My Uk 360 died (red ring) so I'm going to get a US 360 as I'll be moving there, so I need to offload my games and get american ones, so no new game purchases for a while. Am revisiting all my PS2 and Xbox games and trying for 100% completion on them, just annihilated GoW on Hero level, God level to go....

I will get Dante's Inferno if it turns up being good... Otherwise, I might get Darksiders.

Can have a little help on this one?
I'm about to come into console gaming, I've got a 360 in the post but no games as of yet.
I'm torn between:
-Bayonetta.
-Team Fortress 2 & some LIVE.
-Left 4 Dead & some LIVE.

Does anyone have any suggestions pertaining to these?
Or another game altogether I should buy?
Out of those options, I would go with Team Fortress 2. Its a great game... Little hard on the newcomers, though...

I just remembered another game I wanted to purchase.

Bionic Commando. The one that everybody hates for some reason.

I rented it and loved it.

Mass Effect 2. After that happens, I will tell myself that I won't pay full price for a game until Rage comes out.

How about a game that isnt a sequal???
Bayonetta seems like the only contender for that currently.
Whats wrong with sequels may I ask?
nothing in particular, this thread just makes me realise how many games these days are sequals. id like to play a fresh game this year. new decade, a new creative world to dive into.

Here's a hint... it begins in B... and ends in ioshock 2. For the 360, because none of my mates have a gaming PC. So if I want to be as social as a gamer can be I have to get the 360 version. :p Although, i'm getting AvP for the PC some time after that though.

I'd be wary of video game adaptions but sure, have a go.

Mine would have been Mass Effect 2 until they said they would have a slew of DLC i would have to pay extra for so im just gonna wait a week and get BIOSHOCK 2!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know they don't force you to download DLC, and Mass Effect will be a finished game? Cause if you know that you don't make sense
Oh, you're one of those. Yes. To the common purchaser a game on the shelves is a finished game. It went through gold and testing and is complete. However, the game they (Bioware) want you to play is in fact still in progress. The DLC keeps coming until a new release date and I want to play the game they want us to play.
I don't mind expansions, in fact they bring us some of the best gameplay like the Diablo 2 or TES expansions, but little bits of DLC adding up to 30minutes of play time is just annoying, especially at 1200ms points.
So next time you get a DLC just think: 'Would I have been happier waiting another month for release and just getting this with the package?' 'Is this worth the extra £10 I shell out month after month?' 'Is this taking advantage of my love of the game?'
I certainly know the second DLC was not worth my money. Oblivion's non-Shivering Isles DLC was not worth the money, and Dragon Age: Origin's. Well, that was a downright insult.

It might be a finished game to you, but not in the eyes of the developers.
One of those? You imply you are one of the few people who have gained enlightenment and laugh at all us "common" gamers who squander in the mud buying DLC. I know thats OTT but what you said is a bit condescending.

Also, I bought Mass Effect 1, I played through to the end, I end it with a good feeling of completion, and I did not buy any DLC. I agree with you in some aspects, such as with the newest Prince of Persia and its Epilogue DLC which is frankly just saying "pay money to finish the game!", but Mass Effect 1's DLC never promised to "finish the mystery" or "answer unsolved questions", it just promised to prolong the gameplay and enable fans of the game universe to spend more time with the characters they know and love so well.

I also agree with you with the recent increase of day 1 DLC which is really just insulting the fans who buy the game, to know they arent buying the completed game, but lets take a look at what DLC Dragon Age: Origins had to offer: An extra companion, and an extra quest that let you get special armour. If you don't own either of those DLC, the ending of the game wont be different, it wouldn't impact the story at all. With the technology of nowadays, it allows game storys to not end with release days and to continue to let gamers visit the worlds these games offer. Some (most) games DLC will continue to be useless additions, but really if you don't buy a game simply because it has DLC upcoming which you don't like, the only person who suffers is you.
