Ok, so I found this year to have a lot of games so far and I know I'm not the only one on the site whose wallet has gotten so light from this that it's started to develop antigravity (hint: buttered toast on the back of a cat). While looking at the release dates that are way too close to each other, I realized I'd have to scale back, even though I've been waiting for a lot of these games now. As such, I need a bit of guidance on games since I can't decide between most of them.

I'd like to know what you, the posters on the Escapist, think are the top 5 must have games of this half of the year as well as saying which is the number 1 of these.

Metroid Other M, Assassin's Creed 2, Pokemon SoulSilver, Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands, and I'll go with Duke Nukem Trilogy for the DS. I chose the last one because I've never played a Duke Nukem game before and I think it'd be interesting to try it out at the very least.

I've said that you can choose any game you are excited about and view as a must have title up until May. I'm not asking you to declare what the absolute game of the year is, only 5 that you must have above all others for this half, along with the top one if you were forced to choose only one game to buy

Why do you think I'm asking several people? I'm trying to gather a larger amount of data rather than relying on individuals. Some people here are posting games they've already played and enjoyed, others are posting games that look like they'll be good. However, I'm not buying solely based on their opinions, I'm just using the information to look at which games I should be paying more attention to. Once I follow the game, I start to judge what I see as strengths and weaknesses against other games on my list of followed games as well as play the demos and make a choice from them. Hopefully, this will make things easier on me since I don't have the cash to buy all the games I want as per your suggestion (total cost of games up until the end of March would be $480-500 if I decided to buy every one on my list).

I don't care if the golden sun game is a squeal, It's been 7 years since I played a hand-held RPG that I enjoyed as much as golden sun (except the two Disgaea PSP ports, but they don't count as they're just a rapid power fest), and that's because the last good one was golden sun.
If that comes out this year (If there is a god it will, if not the dark forces now have a new faceman) It will easily win RPG of the year.
